"I'm not sure, my mouth feels like there is something in there. I can't get it out." Alex moves his hand to his mouth and starts to play with a tooth that is stuck. He hopes this one works.

Nikka watched him closely. She leaned forward, and tried to determine what could've caught there.

Alex moves forward and lets Nikka take a look. Just a few more inches and he could just kiss her again. He knows that he doesn't have to do this, but oh well, might just have fun anyway. "It's way in the back."

Nikka leaned forward even further. She squinted slightly, and tilted her head.
"I don't see anything.." she said.

Taking his hand, Alex moved in and kissed Nikka on the lips. He put his hand on the back of the neck, and closed his eyes. After a few minutes, Alex went back into his chair and sit back down. "Thanks."

Nikka blinked in surprise, but smiled.
"Find what you were looking for?" she asked, surpessing a laugh.

"Yep, I think so. Want to dance now?" Alex started to get up but had to sit back down again. He forgot that it was another 20 minutes to go. "Go dance. I can wait."

Nikka shook her head.
"With whom should I dance with? No, I think I'll wait with you," she said.

Alex saw that sparkle in her eyes. "You need to have fun too. Go dance with Thomas. He's over there by a table with the High Lord." He then took his gaze to the window to see the moon shine. "I love you."

"I love you too, Alex.." Nikka murmered, kissing him quickly on the lips, trailing her fingertips along his cheek, before reluctantly turning away to join Thomas.

Alex took a second look at Nikka as she left and then looked at his watch in his pocket. 15 minutes left. Can he wait? If not then he will fall to the floor and be laugh at. He decided to look at the door, and a gun in his hand.

A few minutes passed, and soon Lacy can over to sit by him. "So are you serious with Nikka? And the plan to marry her?

"Yes, I want to. She will complete me. I feel that there is no one here but her. Lacy, we had something, but with my things, we spent zero time together. And besides, you asked me and I just moved my head up and down, but didn't say anything. I still want to be friends if that is ok with you?"

"That is fine with me. Thanks for asking." Alex moved his eyes at Lacy, and noticed she was a little older then he. But that still wasn't it. He loved Nikka and that was that. No one else will be in his thoughts at night, nor next to him either.

Nikka walked slowly across the dance floor, biding her time. Thomas glanced up as she approached, and smiled. She smiled back, trying to make it sincere.
"Hello Nikka," Thomas said, dipping his head slightly, "You look wonderful tonight."
"Thank you. Your very handsome yourself," she replied. He held out a hand.
"Would you like to dance..?" he asked slowly, glancing up at Alex sheepishly.
"Yes," Nikka said, taking Thomas's hand.

Alex saw Thomas stare at him. Alex moved his hand and allowing Thomas the right to dance with Nikka. He didn't want to bother with anything, and didn't care if others danced with Nikka. Alex moved his body to get a better few of the other people in the party and dance.

Nikka let herself be led onto the dance floor, glancing at other couples whirling around them. Thomas held his hand out, and she took it again, curtsying politely when he bowed. With that, he began to lead her into a slow dance. But Nikka's thoughts were elsewhere.
