Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Daily Trials and Tribulations of Seto Kaiba

Post by Doodleshark »

As my week for the Webcomic of the Week club, I give you something rare: a Yu-Gi-Oh! based webcomic!

Plot: It's not easy being Seto Kaiba. Sure, he's got money, looks, intelligence, youth, ambition, and power. Still, it's hard being him when he has his little brother to think about, manage a successful company while at the same time put up with daily nuisances like school, a lousy childhood, and Yugi-friggin-Moto. How hard can all that be, you ask? Read and find out!
Art: The art style is cartoonish and very simple, however, the art itself isn't half bad.
Things to Know: It hasn't really updated in a while...
Favourite strips: I'd have to say this one.

I read it all! Yay!

Well, the art was kinda smudgy at some points, but it had great cartoon anatomy I must say. And all characters really stayed in...character. It's weird becuase as soon as I heard 'yugioh' I thought 'oh no...an abridged web comic' when it was more of a spin off from the show than the abridged series.
Fav comic should be this one

Gah, it uses the 4Kids character names and the whole "Brooklyn Accent Joey" whose name isn't Joey and shouldn't have an accent. That aside, it was kinda amusing. I liked Bakura's mood swings.

Me Like! Although I could do without Joey and his accent. But at least Bakura does talk like a pom, and I agree with Josiah, I like his mood swings.

Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell

...That. Is. Freakin. Awesome! I'm with Josiah that it would've been nice if they even seemed to be aware that Yu-Gi-Oh was butchered by 4kids... but it was funny regardless.

I'm particularly fond ofthis page. And the repeat of the joke in this page. Kaiba's trouble with 'compassion' was funny the first time, and I'm a sucker for running gags XD

And the last panel here is basically the best thing I've ever read.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

This comic is freakin awesome! I completely agree with Silver, those compassion strips are great. I haven't had the time to read the whole comic through yet, but I'm liking it so far! I laughed so hard when I read this strip.

*edit* Ok, I've read the whole thing and this is probably my favourite strip. Is the webcomic over or is it still updating?

I'm not a big Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, so I can't honestly say this appeals to me. Some of the jokes are good, but I won't make this a regular read.

It's over. That final strip is the end, the author says so.
