New character idea:
Mii. Imagine this: you just finish getting what you think is the last unlockable character. But then, you see the "Warning!" message that follows a new character to battle. You brace yourself for your toughest opponent yet. And then you discover that your greatest enemy is ... yourself. Besides the drama that I just mentioned, you'd also be able to virtually beat up people you don't like. How cool would that be? Of course, if miis don't make it as playable characters, they'd make a cool replacement for the Fighting Wire Frames.
Also, Flying stadium = pwnage.

Special Brawl? That sounds pretty cool.
Nothing definite on Sonic but considering that they already said there might be another couple of non Nintendo characters, Sonic won a player poll of what non Nintendo character people wanted to see most in Smash, and that Mario & Sonic Olympics game coming out, there's a decent chance he'll be in Brawl.
