Mystic Revolution
Mystic Revolution
Ok, I'm putting this up a bit early because I'm gone pretty much all of tomorrow afternoon and I don't trust myself enough to remember in the evening. So! This week I'm putting up a webcomic called Mystic Revolution. It's about a girl and all of her friends/enemies inside of a virtual reality game. The art is pretty good and after a while the artist does the strips in colour, so that's a nice bonus! There's a bunch of fights in it (the main character likes fire a lot) and a few more adult things (like relationships and virtual alcohol), so not all of the comic is comedy. In the first 50 strips, my favourites are this one, this one, and this one. The artist seems to be pretty decent on the updates and the story's getting pretty good right now, so hopefully you'll all enjoy it!

Rania - Female; Type: Water, Grass; Abilities: Torrent, Overgrow; Attacks: Tackle, Curse, Razor Leaf, Bubble W/L = 5/0
Karst - Male; Type: Normal; Abilities: Keen Eye, Guts; Attacks: Tail Whip, Scratch, Defense Curl W/L = 2/0For future reference, your initial post should include a link to either the main page or the first strip. They're easy enough to get to from your favorite links but yeah...Here's the first strip.
Anyway, I'll post my thoughts on the comic once I've had a chance to read it. Might not till sometime next week though.

I've read up to page 100... it's pretty cool. I enjoy the blatant similarities to .hack. And this page here pwns because I enjoy the blatant similarity to Usopp's usual battle strategy.

Also, NabMaster, your avatar is win.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I'm back for two days before leaving for another week, so I'll post my comic after I'm back from that. Sorry for all the delays, but it can't be helped.
Now, back to the point. I agree with Silver that the comic is blatantly similar to .hack. The artwork is okay (I've seen better), it was funny sometimes... I don't know why, but I'm just not into the comic.
Fav strip = This one.

Um, yeah, it's pretty cool. I find it odd that they don't leave the game very often. But meh.
Also, you guys seem to have already done most of the comics I read without my knowledge. Darn.

Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

Similarity to .hack aside, it's not a bad comic. The art isn't bad and it's funny. I liked this strip. It is a little odd that they hardly ever leave the game but that seems to be how all the MMO based comics I've seen are. Maybe the players are addicts or, more likely, the artist just couldn't figure out anything interesting for them to do in the real world.
