Earth's Treasures: Talismans

Post by Celebifly »

This will be a different role play. A spin off of the show Jackie Chan Adventures. If you haven't watched it, won't matter. We'll mainly be using the talismans from the show.
The plot is that I'm the boss of a corporation and we hire secrent agents, navy seals, swat, ninjas, historians etc, people with out standing achievements in life to help retrieve the Talismans. (I kinda don't want 10 ninjas, 15 pirates, 4 thiefs, etc. Try to be different!) Each Talismans holds a special power (Will explain each power as the role play goes on. If you wanna spoil it and post each power and feel special, go right ahead), and has a picture of one of the 12 chinese zodiac animals (rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, pig). They are all scattered around the world in different countries. Course, the good guys gotta retrieve them before the bad guys do....

So when you sign up, post your Bio (good guy!) like this. Oh, No one younger than 18 unless you make an outstanding argument. How many guys are in the army that are 14?

Name: Civet Claw (Doesn't have to be like that. Just wanted to try a different name ^^)
Age: 34
Gender: Female
Profession: Leader of Earth's Treasures
Looks: Opal but aged to 30. Fancy clothes that I'll draw up

Earth's Treasures is a secret organization that like to keep the most priceless items in the world kept safe so that no greedy humans can sell them for money/destroy them. They have the scrolls from Alexander's Library, to the philosophic scripts of Plato. Even paintings from Leonardo DiVince that no one has even heard of.
Now they found out about the Talismans and they want them. For the safety reasons. They caught wind that treasure hunters want them, so they hired the best of the best to retrieve them...which is you!

Post your bio and I'll start as soon as there is enough people.

I remember watching that show, but that was ages ago! The old man was the best, always flicking Chan's forehead :-P

Name: Leon Walker
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Profession: Vice-President of the Belimb company and hired mercenary (but only when artifacts are involved).
Items: leather jacket with small blades hidden all throughout it (example: a flick of the wrist brings small daggers into his hands), old fashioned pocketwatch with a small secret compartment in the back.
Looks: dark brown hair, bright blue eyes, tall, always seen wearing his leather jacket (he calls it Adamant).

Belimb is the head corporation which owns several museums and sponsors a massive amount of archaeological digs. The higher-ups in the company pride themselves on their collections of rare and usually priceless artifacts. Rumors say that the President even has an ancient feather from the wax wings of Icarus and Daedalus.

So how's that? I wasn't sure if info on the professions is necessary, but hey, it can't hurt, right?

I remmeber that show!! That was the best, wish they still showed it as at least re-runs.

Name: Nara Kazuya
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Profession: Paranormal Investigator, dealing with strange cases to do with spirits and stuff. Experienced when it comes to artifacts.
Items: You know, money, watch, consealed knife. You never know when you might need a knife :-P
Looks: Jet black medium length hair, brown eyes, about 6 foot, wears a black jacket.

He is a paranormal investigator of 26 years, having only basic martial arts skills, only for self defence. Rather than relying on brute strength or weapons, he uses his own intellect and knowledge to get him out of tough situations.

Dunno if we're gunna have text color but if so mine is dark blue

Name: Brent Lewis
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Profession: Archaeologist
Items: Brush, shovel, you know, the typical Archaeologist stuff
Looks: Like Jackie Chan. Just kidding. Brown hair, hazel eyes, about 6 feet tall. Wears cargo pants, and a white T-shirt with a vest with pockets, for all the random Archaeologist junk.

He'd rather talk his way out of a situation then fight. He's never been trained in any fighting, except he's lived with an younger adopted brother with an attachment disorder for most of his life. With all the frequent murder attempts (literally) from the brother, he's learned to defend himself. He became an archaeologist to get away from people, and spends a lot of his time researching. He's recently stumbled upon, in his research, information about magical talismans.

Text color: red.

And just so you know, his back story is based off one of my friends.
Hmm... This signature just got really short...

Name: Gray Beard (Or at least, that's what he answers to)
Age: 61
Gender: Male
Profession: Pirate (Or so he claims... God only knows what he really does for a living)
Items: Cutlass, pistol, booty, eye patches, peg legs... I don't know how he got it, but he's got all the typical pirate stuff.
Looks: Like a pirate. Use your imagination. Oh, and he's got a gray beard. Big surprise, right?

So yeah, he's basically a delusional old mad. He wants in on the Talisman busniess because he's got it in his mind that they're some kind of buried treasure.

And I can not even begin to tell you how much fun I'm going to have with this character.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Name: Benjamin Phedora.
Age: 46
Gender: Male.
Profession: Normal investigator.
Items: magnifying glass, corn-cobb pipe (empty), revolver, fedora, trenchcoat.
Looks: Like a scraggly, modern-day Sherlock Holmes, really. With red hair.
Actually, he's kinda like a hybrid Sherlock/Collumbo.

He got in to this business 'cause he's up for a challenge.

Likewise, I can not tell you how long I've been waiting to make a character like this.
