anyways, just contemplating the bankai... since Kusa IS the vice captain... and so is renji... then, he might have one... ey?

or maybe if the story moves on it will happen... i can see it now... BANKAI!!

I'm sort of wondering why Yuki is calling Kusa with the honorific "-chan." Doesn't that imply they share some sort of really close relationship? In fact, a lot of people are calling other people "-chan"...oO

Now that I think about it, Kiku should've referred to Kusa as "-fukutaichou" not "-sama"...Bwah. I'll go edit that in a moment.

EDIT: Anyone object to Lion's entry? I don't have a problem with it.

No objections here. The more the merrier... btw, i just realised, that if it wasn't for the form saying "Soul reaper, Quincy, human", i woulda chosen one of my character as a modified soul.... oh well...

oh yeah, Yuki, calling people "-chan" well, i don't think she the kinda character that would refer to anyone as a "-sama" or anything formal or anything like that... lol

No objections to Lion's entry. In fact, I was the one who told her she should join.

Also, about the honorfics... I've heard a lot of them, but never "-fukutaichou." What does that one mean, Mandi?

By the way, Kusa merely considers Yuki and Bael his siblings so he calls them a term of endearment. I've often heard "-chan" used for boys, as well as girls, so I didn't think anyone would mind.

Oh, and going back to the subject of Bankai, I've pretty much forgotten what that is. I just remember that it's, like, the ultimate attack for a Shinigami with their Zanpakuto. So yeah... I might need someone to explain it to me again. That's how I'll decide if Kusa has one or not.

Bankai is the second release of a zanpakuto (It does mean all release) So it is sort of an uber attack, But it takes decades to master (or 3 days of cheating like ichigo did.)

Theres 3 ways to become captain:
1:Take the captain proficiency test (which includes mastering Bankai)
2:Have a recommendation from 6 captains and have it approved by three of the remaining 7
3:Defeat the Previous captain in front of 200 spectators

So, in other words, all captains have Bankai, except Kenpachi, who became captain by method 3, which doesn't necessarily require Bankai. But, it is also likely for a vice captain/lieutenant to have Bankai. So what im trying to say is this:
Yes, Any Zanpakuto that has Shikai can have Bankai
It takes a while to master
A captain has to have Bankai (excluding Kenpachi because hes a freak)
Anyone in our RP can have Bankai, but it would be kinda unfair, so maybe later

Of course later... i mean, with the enemies we're encountering at the moment, it hardly requires a bankai. Maybe later, like ages later. Also, not all of us have revealed a shikai. Yuki hasn't, but she did give away the first 2 letters in the name, and the release command

Hm...

First of all, "-fukutaichou" means "vice-captain" (sorta). Since Kusa is a vice-captain (or lieutenant, whichever you prefer), Kiku would use that honorific when addressing him.
Bankai actually means "final release."
Any zanpakutou can have both shikai and bankai. It's just up to the Shinigami to discover them.
Ichigo didn't quite cheat; he just used a different method. But that was just to attain bankai. To actually master it, it took Ichigo a little longer. You may recall that the first time he used it, he ended up cracking every bone in his body.

And as for plans to get bankai for our characters, I designed Kiku to NOT have one. So if it gets to a point where we will need more powerful techniques, I might have to introduce another one of my characters that already has bankai (I've made three: one with both shikai and bankai, one with just shikai, and one with neither).

Actually, Asauchi don't have Shikai or Bankai. And, are the shinigami going to have gigais and go to school like Rukia?

I should've said all zanpakutou have the capability of having both bankai and shikai...ah well.

About the gigai thing...Shinigami usually only get a gigai for prolonged stays in the real world or if they get too weak. Rukia only went to school in her gigai because 1. Ichigo took all of her powers, leaving her really weak, and 2. She had to stay near Ichigo, who had no way (at that time) of getting himself out of his body if a Hollow appeared.
So...I wouldn't say our Shinigami have to go to school if they got gigai, and judging by Artemis' last post, they probably aren't staying for too long. In other words, unless their orders from Soul Society change, I doubt they'd get gigai.

Actually, you just sound like a dictionary... which now I realize is exactly what Hermione is. I'm getting tired of not roleplaying; Would anybody object to me lurking a while and then see if I can manage to fit in somehow? ;3

Blastotoise: When you say "But, it is also likely for a vice captain/lieutenant to have Bankai," it seems to me that only... I believe, one in the original Bleach storyline has it? ^^'' That being Renji?
