ROM 2: Zodiac Legends

"Damn, this isn't going to work!" *For every Moen spirit they cut down it seemed like three more sprang up in its place. Josiah had long since lost count of how many Moen spirits he and his monsters had destroyed, not to mention those destroyed by his friends, but the army seemed no smaller.* "At this rate we'll tire out long before we finish these things. It's hopeless!"

"Don't say that!" *Virgo stood by his side.* "It's only hopeless when you give up! Until then there's a chance! I'm sure there's a way we can win! Together we can't lose!"

*Josiah smiled back but something echoed in the back of his mind. Together... Together... It was something he had read during his travels but what? Where? Oh yes, he had been in Amhal's palace. Amhal and Jeff had been off training but the guards had been happy to let him stay there and use the massive library. There had been an old book about spirit types and strategy. It was rather dull but a passage had caught his eye... 'Some speculate that whith a spirit of each element, when given the proper focus, moves of the same power could be fused together to form an ultimate attack with power far exceeding even the legendary attacks. Of course, this has never been proven.'

"Stronger than the legendaries..." *Josiah murmered.* "It's worth a try but I need a focus..." *He looked down at the Zodiac Sword.* "Why not? We got nothing to lose now! To me!" *All his spirits raced over, forming a circle around their master.* "When I give the word, all of you will aim the attack I tell you at my sword. Thunderball, Dark Radience, Multi-Fissure, Holy Blades, Magma Ocean, Tsunami Force, Freezedown, Wind Tunnel, and Heavenly Spear." *Josiah held the zodiac sword high in the air.* "Go!!!" *The attacks swirled together widly in the air then were sucked into the sword as it began to glow with a blinding rainbow of color. Josiah could feel the power filling the blade, he knew it would work.* "Ultimate strike of the elements! Planet Crush!!!" *He brought the sword down as a shimmering ray shot forth into the midst of the army and exploded.* 

*When the light faded barely fifty Moen spirits remained. Rallying, Shauni, Silver, and Mustadio quickly finished them off. The battle was over.*

"Rainbow.....a spinding attack of elements....Jewish Draddle.....
Jeff dying.....Nobal Blood....."
"The e-mail........."
Facts came together in her head
"I know now what this is...its a profacy.....its..its AHHHHH!"
while shauni was stood thinging one of the remaining Moen spirits had struck her, she fell now to the ground, a gaping wond on her arm
"aaahhh!" she yelled as she raith in pain
"Shauni!" 
Josiah ran quickly over to her and cut down the monster with the sword
"Are you alright???"
"the...e-mail...its coming ...true..." she passed out
"O shauni! nows no time to take a nap!!"
Suddenly mensing laughing came from behind them
"Who are you??"
The figure stepped forward "I am Zodiac, I am a fusion of all types, of all Zodiac, your last challenege before Moen himself...lets see if you are worthy of me!"

Zodiacs attacks
All of the other zodiac attacks, plus one speacil called "Supreme Overlord" which is an super all type attack

"Uh... Josiah, do whatever you just did again!"

"I'm gonna need time to recharge, just stall him!" *Zodiac sent a flood of water at the group*

"That's harder than you make it sound... Let's see if I can recrate the attack! I've got a monster of every type... Extreme Flame, Sun Shine, Mega Wave, Storm Warning, Avalanche... Great, Huene doesn't have any dual type attacks!"

"Monster will always come through when they're needed, just tell it something and it'll understand."

"Right... Steel Shadow! Hope this works..."

A similare type attack to Josiahs was created, but insted the colours murged into a dark steel colour that then burst into a light silver
Shauni suddenly sat up, as if awaoken
"Silver Coin......"
And then she fell back downa gain, Silvers attack struck Zodiac
"AHHHH! You will PAY DEALY for THAT! cRAB cLAW!"
he struck two of silvers monsters and they fell to the groun
"what?? Down in One hit??? no fair!"
Shauni began to mubble in her 'sleep'
"Rikkus.....mix....."

"Fudge Crackers! I can't do that again without Rekilec and Huene... We're doomed. Does anyone else want to try to kill the Boss man?"

"Lemme think..."

"Fine, be that way. New strategy... disability! Try a double Vine Choker and a Toxic Combo!"

"So now you've got a fancy name for your favorite combo. Great..."

"Hey, at least I'm battling!" *Spindice and Kojie entangled Zodiac with their vines leaving him unable to move, then Toshi an Ummie performed the familiar combo with Acid Rain and Poison Bite. A purple color slowly covered Zodiac, though he wasn't finished yet and manged to get free and KO Ummie and Kojie with Zodiac Blast*

shauni woke up again
"Good, you ok, now get batteling!"
"What??" she looked over at Zodiac
"O great....another monster..."
"Pirogoth, use Hail to Monroe, Omega, use Heavy Rain, yin Yang, Still of the Night and Slyth! Toxic Tooth! "
The monster chargered
"Holy Draw!" she yelled as she drew out the Holy Sword and one of her daggers, running suisidaly at Zodiac
"How can she carry a broad sword with one had??"
"Beats me"
"Well, never mind! Lets do this!"

"Ok, I'm ready! Let's do it just like before! Planet Crush!"

"You really think I'm just going to let you use that attack?" *Zodiac laughed.* "Supreme Overlord!"

"Aargh!!!" *Josiah brought up the zodiac sword, protecting himself from the massive energy wave, put his spirits weren't so lucky. Some managed to block or perry the attack but, when it was over, only Electricutz, Raydion, Virgo, and Armor Dragon were still on their feet.* "So much for planet crush..."

"Now what are we going to do?"

"Fight it like normal." *Josiah did some quick thinking. Zodiac obviously didn't have any elemental weaknesses so there was nothing he could do there. He needed to fuse but Virgo, Raydion, and Electricutz were too strong to take out of the fight without a good reason. That left only one choice.* "Virgo, you give orders to Raydion and Electricutz! Armor Dragon, merge with me and form...Wind Supreme!"

*Josiah's new form was green and whispy, looking almost as if it was made from the wind itself. He didn't have wings but, judging by the way he was hovering in the air, didn't need them. Dodging Zodiac's attacks, he shot forward with lightning speed until he was no more than a green plur.*

"Bum Rush!!!" *He began lunging in and out, striking Zodiac again and again all too fast to follow. Meanwhile, Shauni, Silver, and Virgo took advantage of Zodiac's distraction to renew their own attacks.*

"Let me help you! Elemetal Shift!"
The area around them began to sparkel and then a deadly wind struck the arena
"The wind will bost you attacks! get him now before it dies down!"
"Gota ya!"
"This might sound underhanded but Pirogoth! Strick Zodiac from behind! NOW! Blister Burn!"
he griffen flew into the air, Josiah had zodiac distracted just long enough for Pirogoth to strick, but it didnt even fae zodiac, with an undirected punch he hit pirogoth, noking it out of the fight
"NO WAY! This isnt fair! Jeff....please........help"
"Shauni! Jeff wount be able to help us again...we gotta do this on our own!"
"But its to hard......"
"Then do it for Jeff....."
"For Jeff!"
Josiah now had his hands interlocked with Zodiac, shauni drew the holy sword
"Same stratagy, only this time.... Jefferys Memeory!!!"
She lunged past both Josiah and Zodiac and came up behind them, lunged into the air and plantd the swored fermly in his back, leting go of it as she droped down and ran out of the way
"aaahhhhhhh!" it yelled in pain, pulling away from Josiah, it quicky pulled the swored out of its back and crushed it in its hands
"AAHHH! hahahahaah!"
"no!!!!"
"Now what?????"

"Well it looked like it hurt him, just keep attacking where Shuani hit!"

"I coulda thought of that, Toshi Flame wing!" Toshi flew around and slapped Zodiac with its wing from behind and appeared to do damage, but Zodiac grabbed the end of Toshi's snake-like body and slammed it into the ground, fortunately not KO'ing it.

"It looks like that's the best way to win..."

"Just gotta focus on that spot. Ok then, Pummling Gale!" *Wind Supreme repeatedly smaked into the wound on Zodiac's back as a vicious wind sprang up and tore at it also.* "I think we almost got it! Everyone at the same time!"

*Shauni, Silver, Virgo, Electricutz, and Raydion added their attacks. At last it seemed to have an effect. Zodiac screamed and fell to its knees.*

"Heavenly Spear!" *Virgo jumped in, dealing the finishing blow.*

"You may have beaten me..." *Zodiac gasped.* "But Moen is far stronger..." *He exploded in a flash of light, leaving behind a single shard.*

"What the?" *Josiah picked it up then looked at his sword. Oddly enough, it had fourteen slots. As he placed the new shard in all the others began to glow and suddenly he knew what this one did. It unleashed the powers of all the other shards combined.*

*Exhaused, group headed back to the shrine to heal their monsters then they went off to get some well deserved sleep.*

shauni felt a weird feeling the in air, sort of familier, yet alien

"Shauni? what you say?"
"o, I ermmm ...........nothing......" she replyed sadly "nothing at all....."
Shauni wnent up and healed her monsters
She looked at her friends, a worrried look on her face

"Now we face Moen, when he decideds to show up, we bearly beat zodiac, Moen will most likley be 1000 times harder, we have to come up with a stratagy, and have someone constanly healing.....myself and Virgo are the only ones amoug us that know healing spells, I suggest we let you guys fight and we support, getting in shots when we can"
"Agreed"
"I must admit, thats a good plan, in fact, its the only plan...."
"Rest while we have the chance, Moen will apper when he is ready...."

"Thank you." *Virgo smiled.*

"No problem. I haven't had any girls to talk to since I left Onett. Night boys."

"Goodnight." *Josiah was glaring at Silver.*

"Um, maybe I'll just get my own room! Night!" *Silver dashed off.*
