i think azurill is the most useless pokemon it has terrible stats and lame moves when it evovles into marill (which takes forever since you need to max out friendship) its stats are still lame when it evovles for the third time it has a good hp stat but still i think azurill is the most useless pokemon

Azurill... Is odd, to say the least. (Ahem, no offense intended to anyone who likes them.) IMO, they look bizzare, their favorite pastime is to spin around fast enough so that their tail will eject them off into the outer atmosphere, and the game designers designed the game so that 75% of azurills were female, and 25% of them were male. However, they also made it so that Marills were 50/50, causing some female Azurills to become male when they evolve. Now that's just disturbing.

The most useless ones I've ever had are Magikarp, Slakoth, and the one that paints with its tail. Can't remember the name XP

Smergal isn't that worthless. If you do it right, it can be a very good pokemon to have. Best way is for your friend to have afew heart scales in his game and have one pokemon on his team that knows the move you want that's around the same level as Smergal. Presto, new move :)

Smergal can have a totally awesome move set if you use it right. Pity its stats are so low... I still think Unown wins this thread hands down.

I still will argue about Unown. If you test each one out and find out what HP is good aginst what types, then they can be useful. Pitty their stats are low as well.

Caterpie is kind of useless because it has some of the lowest stats in the game and all it learns are String Shot and Tackle. But despite this I love it for it's cuteness!

Join the Bidoof army now. We shall crush all who stand in our way!

Now now, caterpie eventually evolves into butterfree, who is a very good pokemon to have because he learns psychic moves very early in the game. And he's extremely accurate thanks to his ability, compound eyes.

and unown was given a use in diamond/pearl. ball capsules.

I'd have to say... Chingling. They pretty took one of the weakest, most useless, most obscure Pokemon in R/S and made a pre-evolved form for it.
