As Josiah mentioned, extremely rare, for one. I got it in Crystal Version once... it was described as a Pokemon disease. They're attacked by parasites or something, I believe... and it somehow makes them stronger.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

The next time you go to the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy will tell you there's something wrong with your Pokemon and she has no idea what the deal is. At least that's what happened in Crystal.
And Kaida, look on the bright side - we'll still be getting new episodes of One Piece (306 - Kokoro FTW!)

When you battle a wild pokémon there a 2 in 65535 chance that said wild pokémon has pokérus. If it does, it'll pass it on to whatever pokémon you're fighting with. Once infected, every time you battle it has a chance of spreading to more pokémon in your team. Nurse Joy will tell you that you have pokérus when you heal your pokémon, it also shows up if you look at their status. Pokémon with pokérus gain double effort points (a hidden stat that affects stat growth) from battles.
Pokérus goes away after 24 hours but you can save it by sticking an infected pokémon in your computer and then just pull it out when you want to infect more pokémon. Although each individual pokémon can only have pokérus once, then it becomes immune.
I'm currently in the flower meadow to get the Windworks key.

I saw one, but I didn't have any weak enough attacks and OHKO'd it... oh well. I've got a Happiny, so I can just evolve that. Eventually.
