Avatar Role Play

To celebrate the end of the KoTF contest, I am launching an Avatar role play! Yay!

Plot: All four nations are at war together. Know one knows the true meaning of why, but the only known reason is that a fire nation assasinated a group of water benders. The fire nation replied that the water nation attacked them first. Air benders were going to take the water side, but the earth nation didn't allow them to pass their terrirtory, fearing they will attack them. So all war broke loose.
Away from the chaos, layed an island called Avery Island. There, a group of all benders live in peace, hoping to get away from the fighting. They raised their kids to bend, but not to fight. They wanted peace.
Unfortunately, word got out about this island and the nations saw them as traitors, not taking part in the war. The island was instintly attacked, killing hundreds.
Only a small group got away safely. Before leaving, the elder told them that they have to find the avatar in order to set things right.

Rules: I'm only going to accept 4 benders! One per nation! (I claim earth!) I will only accept another bender if they are related to someones character (ei - if all the benders are taking, and Silver wanted to be one, he could ask to be my character's brother so he can be an earth bender) I will accept more characters than just 4. But, they have to weild a weapon like Sakka. No one can be the avatar We have to find him =3

History: Lived on Avery Island all her life, and didn't know about the war until the island got attacked. She wants to find the avatar so no one else has to lose their families

I hope this plot makes sense...

((Plot seems fine to me, although... I'm taking it this is before the series due to the presence of Air benders? Like, centuries before the series? Or are we saying the air benders made a come back in the distant future?))

Name: Shiruba (OMG slight variation! ...'Shiruba' being how 'Silver' would be written in Romaji...)

Bends: Fire! Big surprise, right?
Looks: Gimme a little while, I'll make a sprite or something.
Personality: He's kind of... slow, and kind of a chicken, but if something needs to be done he'll do it whether he's scared or not.
History: He's lived on Avery Island since the dawn of time. His father, however, high tailed it out of there when he was young and now plays an avid role in the ongoing war. He's just a jerk like that.
Pet: -Bird character fettish- Mori, a bird thing that will also be sprited at a later date, who can talk. I guess I need better explanations for how these guys can talk. But come on, the Argyros/Moris are cool and you know it.
And, um, font color is gray. Assuming we're doing the font color thing.

Looks: Eh...I'll sprite it too.
Personality: Well...he's...me. He's intelligent, observant, and likes to make smart remarks.
History: Born n' raised on Avery, as per usual. He didn't have much talent for bending, but with much work and practice away from the view of others, it's become about on-par with everyone else.

Bends: Air (And not gassy air...)
Looks: Uh... Yay for me not being so sprite worthy?
Personality: He's really laid back, even through all of whats happened. He's never looked on the negative side of things, only the positives.
History: Well, when his mommy and daddy got together... *Kick'd* He was almost always practicing his airbending, trying to be the best he could be. Sometimes it would distract him from other things, but he didn't mind. He did try and stay somewhat socially active, though, not wanting to become an outcast.

Bends: fire, thats if she can be Shibura's older sister or something, if its okay, otherwise i'm fine, I'll have fun anyway.
Looks: well since everyone else is, I'll sprite it to ^_^
Personality: We'll she kind of talks alot, a real social bug and knows pratically everyone on the island, their habits, favorite food, all that jazz. Apart from being talkative she's also hyperactive, when she's not being serious... which isn't often.
History: well same as Silver's character I guess, that if its okay foe her to be his sister, otherwise i'll fix it later.
Pet: A smoky grey cat with white paws and muzzel (named Sanra). She has a gland disorder so that shes like still the size of a kitten, I can do that right?

hmmm Haven't actually asked yet have I. So Silver, can my character be your character's older sister, and do you approve of this Opal?

(This is what would happen if the Air benders didn't get whiped out)

Kyoumi sat at the edge of the boat. The survivors of the attack sat around her. Gentle waves pushed the kids further away from a place they called home.
In the distance, smoke filled an island where they once lived.
The girl, Kyoumi, glanced at the others. She knew them from the island, but hardly at all. She just knew their names was all. No one had spoken since they left Avery Island
"I'm Kyoumi, if you forgot...." She introduced herself "I'm an earth bender..."

Vinulin stood in the middle of the boat, watching as they floated away from the island. Their home. He couldnt help but look at the positives though. They were still alive.
He turned his head slightly when he heard the other girl speak, then turned his head back to the island.
"I'm Vinulin, air bender." he responded quietly. He knew he shouldnt be too optimistic yet, seeing as what just happened.

A'ishiya sat at the back of the boat staring at the island as they drifted away. She knew that there was a positive side but that didn't help much, neither did the fact that she knew her shoulder and back would hurt later with about ten to twenty holes from Sanra's claws. It was only after they were in the boat and drifting away that she was able to coax the cat off of her shoulder.
"I'm A'ishiya, fire bender" She said quietly, in fact it was probably the quietest she had been in her life, apart from when she was asleep.

Shiruba stared up at the sky - more specifically the small, primarily white bird flying in it - while waiting for someone else to break th awkward silence in that small boat. He couldn't bring himself to speak up since everyone else seemed to be so distracted. Once someone else had disrupted the quiet, he didn't hesitate to add his two cents, though. "Well, while we're all introducing ourselves... I'm Shiruba, also a fire bender. And that up there is-"

Shiruba was interrupted by that little bird I mentioned earlier landing on his head. He promptly shooed her off, and she perched on the edge of the boat. "I can introduce myself, thank you very much. Name's Mori. I, uh... I don't exactly bend anything. But I speak - and am fluent in - bird, human, and cat, so I say that makes me the smartest one here."

"Mori! You can't say that! Stevenson's in this roleplay!"

"...Oh yeah. Well, he still doesn't speak bird."

She nodded. "Nice to meet you all again. Sorry if we haven't met before - I....really didn't get around much. Don't know why...farming is quite a job." She sighed, than looked at the one boy who didn't introduce himself (Sorrry Stevenson - gotta move this along)
Kyoumi looked back at the distant, almost out of sight, island. "I'll miss home..." She sighed. "I...just don't know why we were under attack!"

Unknown to the little raft of benders....a ship was fastly approaching.

"I think we'll all miss it Kyoumi" A'ishiya said looking around at the vast see for land, also avoiding looking at the island that was once their home.
It was then that she noticed the ship moving towards them much faster then usualy for a ship. "Although, I think we're going to find out why soon" She said looking in its direction.

"What do you mean by... oh," Shiruba added, glancing over at the oncoming ship. It was kind of far off, and from their tiny boat, not much besides its direction could be seen. "Hey, Mori, why don't you go check it out?"

"Can't we just pretend it's not there?" Mori's suggestion was met with a death glare, or at least as close to one as Shirbua could manage. "Fine, fine..." The little bird took to the skies to inspect the ship, though she tried not to get to close... she couldn't see much from her distance, but she saw enough.

"They're from the Earth Nation. Pirates, or at least, that's what I'm assuming based on the Jolly Roger on their flag."
