Boss Battle: Ragnarok

Daisuke forced himself into a calm state and he slowly brought his hand away from his holster. He brought both hands together and began a string of handsigns. "Kanashibari no Jutsu!", Daisuke shouted.

(Japanese Name: Kanashibari no Jutsu
English Name: Body Freeze Technique
Description: Used to cause one's opponent to lose the advantage of movement. Freezing them in their tracks, this Jutsu creates an opening for a more dangerous attack.)

As the Jutsu took effect, Daisuke lowered his hands and gave a small smirk of his own. "Of course not.", he replied, drawing a kunai and walking towards his opponent.

Daisuke's hands moved of their own accord and immediately placed the kunai at level with the artery in the neck where any small amount of pressure applied causes death. He lightly tapped the skin with the sharp side. "Who ever said I was meaning to entertain you?", Daisuke said in a low voice near Ragnarok's ear.

Ragnarok pouted. "You aren't? Well fine. It seems I'll need to make my own amusement then." Even though he was paralyzed, he was still channeling his lightning. "Power Surge." he said as the electricty started radiating around him in a dome, shocking Daisuke.

Daisuke felt a strong shock and was thrown back a couple of feet, landing on his back with a thud. He sat up and winced, looking at the hand that had held the kunai. The metal had conducted a portion of the electricity and had burned his palm enough that it bled. He dropped the kunai and weakly flexed his digits. Good, he was still able to make handsigns. That was a necessity. Daisuke pushed himself to his feet using his good hand and then looked at the still-paralyzed Ragnarok. "Well, now I know to watch out for lightning attacks.", he muttered.

"Those aren't your only worry. Meet my friends." He said as spirits started to flow up from the ground, staring at Daisuke, ready to fight. Ragnarok was only waiting for this 'jutsu' to wear off...

Daisuke looked around and realized that the spirits were a solid 360, surrounding him. "Drats, these friends shall prove quite troublesome." How on earth do you fight a spirit? Daisuke had now encountered this problem. He did a mental search through his arsenal of Jutsu. Finding one that might provide a solution, he preformed another string of handsigns. "Doton: Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu!"

(Japanese Name: Doton: Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu
English Name: Earth Element: Inner Decapitation Technique
Description: The user hides underground and grabs the legs of their victim, then pulls them under leaving their head above ground and vulnerable to a more deadly attack.)

Daisuke disappeared into the earth and remained hidden until he was under Ragnarok. He then plunged his hands up and completely switched positions with him. Now, Ragnarok was not only paralyzed, but also had nothing but his head above ground.

Ragnarok yawned once more. "Are you done yet? When is it MY turn?" He said with a pout, that slowly evolved into a smirk.

(Though they are spirits, they can be taken out with weapons.)

"Why should I allow you another turn? You're evil and you're at a disadvantage.", Daisuke retorted. That smirk that seemed to constantly appear on Rag's face was beginning to really irritate him. He lifted his foot and attempted to kick it off the villan's face.

Rag's smirk was still there. "So it IS my turn then." He used his teleportation to teleport out of the ground and out of his paralysis. He hung in mid air, looking down with a smirk. He held his hands out to his side, channeling his dark magic as dark clouds started to float in.

Daisuke actually chuckled softly. "You shouldn't bring in an element in which your opponent can fight more effectively.", he said quietly. The dark clouds that were swirling above him made him feel right at home.

Ragnarok spread both of his arms out to his side. darkness flew from his body, concentrating in his hands, and formign the DarkClaymores. He grips them both and looked down at the boy. He pointed his sword. "Attack" he merely said, as all the spirits he summoned earlier started charging little fireballs, and throwing them at Daisuke.

Daisuke might as well have been a sideshow performer. He dogded every last fireball that was cast at him, while slicing the ghoulish fiends into ribbons with his kunai. The darkness and gloom that had settled over their battlefield gave him a major confidence boost. "You've got to love this elevation."

In a split second, Ragnarok teleported from sky to behind Daisuke, swinging one of the swords. "Boo"

Daisuke felt the rush of air past him as Ragnarok teleported behind him. He immediately turned around and caught the blade on his kunai, holding it at bay. "He's fast...", the boy thought to himself.
