That would make sense...except that in Red/Blue magnimite doesn't act like it's a half steel type (ie. no resistence to normal type attacks, etc).

This week's question: How does fire pokemon store fire in them (without burning themselves and metling, and etc)?

Easy, same way Dragons do. They have a flame sac that's fire resistant inside of them. They store gas in it and then have something ignite the gas to cause fire. They have thick walls in thier throts (sp I know) so that it doesn't cause them to burn on the inside. And for being warm to the touch, that's just their nature :)

Immediately after they hatch, all fire Pokemon are dragged down to hell and infused with demons. Then the aliens come and...

I admit I'm having way too much fun with this.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

radiation affected all ancesters of all fire pokemon causing them to breathe fire each time they eat alot of habeneros and the reaction became a normal process minus the peppers as the fire pokemon developed.

This week's question; Why doesn't splash deal damage/why did they create that move?

So that if you bought a Magikarp from the guy in the Pokemon Center by Mt. Moon it would be a complete rip-off and you'd feel stupid.

Er, I mean...

THE ALIENS PUT A CURSE ON HIM! Now Magikarp everywhere are doomed to be completely worthless until they reach a high enough level to over power the alien magic and learn Tackle!

Yes, Aliens have magic! Shut up!

It's quite simple, really. So that, even if you do get tackle (or use absorb alot with hoppips, who also get it), after running out of PP for tackle (or absorb), it still has to flop around for 20 turns doing nothing before it can actually hurt their opponents again with struggle.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:

Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.

Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:

Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

well, splash does deal 5 damage in PMD1,but, I think they made it to annoy the players and be evil at the same time. when G/S/C came out, they felt bad and added attacks(they didn't want people to challenge them and beat them with a Gyarados).
