Stevenson wanted an evil smilie, Silver made it, but using the smilie I posted before him....

Well, what tickes me off are people who say people's work sucks. They just say that, not giving any advice on how to improve, or stating why it's not of what they think art should be like.

Art is an opinion, not fact.

No, what happened was he took brendon's head, and basically ripped off the body, painted it with blacker colors and that's it. Art is the expression of one's self, what his art expressed is that he is a lazy guy who doesn't really try hard at anything unless he's forced to!

Holiday surprise! The old smilies are back!

Well, a lot of them anyway, I was missing the graphics for some. You'll have to hit View More Emoticons to see them all though since they don't all fit in the box. If anyone wants to make some new ones to replace the missing ones just post them here as gif files.

Special announcement! As you've all probably noticed, I was able to add back in a lot of the smiles from the old board but some are missing since I didn't have copies saved on my computer. We could use some replacements to fill in the gaps, especially for a lot of the basic smiles. Stuff like

etc.

So... Since it's King of The Forums Contest time and all... SPECIAL BONUS CHALLENGE! Make smilies for the PV forums. Here are the rules.
1. Smilies must match the current style of smilies (same size, same look, etc).
2. Smilies must be posted here or e-mailed to me (comments@pebbleversion.com)
3. Smilies must be saved in the .gif format, perferably with a transparent background (if you can't do transparency use plain white).

You can make as many smilies as you want. Every smilely I decide to add to the forums earns you 2 points. This will be open until the end of the King of the Forums Contest.

If I may suggest something, you could also designate specific smileys and give extra points for the first/best one you recieve. This of course means I won't really get anything out of it since I use paint. </sarcasm>

I totally missed that thing about the flags... Probably since I wasn't the one who was supposed to be making ours in the first place.

Anyway, I'll consider your smilie idea but first I want to see what people come up with on their own.

Also, if anyone has a program that can't save good looking gif files (*cough Paint cough*) post or e-mail me .bmp files and I'll convert them in Photoshop.

Got a whole lot of smilies from Poik. I'll look through them over the next couple days, decide which will get added to the forums, then add them in.

Update on Poik's smilies. I got them sorted and converted to the correct file format and all that. But I haven't had time to go to the admin panel and add them all to the forums yet. Right now I'm gonna shoot for tuesday since I should (in theory) have lots of free time then.

Sorry I haven't added them yet. Life seems to keep interferring every time I think I'll have time. Should be soon though. Things will be calming down come monday.

This may seem like it's copied off of the old pepsi one, but your only half right, I recolored it because the pepsi had poor quality color, as if it had it's file type changed a few times, so I made a new pepsi one:

Then I felt like making fun of hippies, but I couldn't get the bloodshot eyes right and I didn't know if having him smoking pot was quite appropriate so I made this instead:

And now I feel like making one with an uzi or something, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

No, image tags just don't work with bmp files for some reason. They only work with pngs, jpgs, and gifs.
