ROM 4: New Horizons

[Josiah]

*Ignoring the attack, Gluttony used Tremor, causing the ground to shake rapidly, then opened his mouth and began sucking in everything around him.*

"Gah, this guy is like an evil Kirby! Go Yggdrasil!" *As Josiah had hoped, the giant tree monster seemed uneffected by Gluttony's vortex.* "Grab on everyon! Yggdrassil, use Rock Crusher! We'll see how much he likes eating boulders!"

[Neo Zanther]

Neo wasn't affected too much by the attack as he was still up in the air aways. "Kuiia use Shredding Twister!" Kuiia begain to spin around rapidly forming a Tornado under himself and sent to towards Gluttony. The Twister quickly spun to towards Gluttony and almost cancleing the suction. And then he inhaled the attack. His mistake as the effects of the attack begain tearing his insides apart.


"Note to self. Never ride Kuiia and order Shredding Twister." ,said the now ill feeling Neo.

[Josiah]

"Nice one!" *Josiah called to Neo.* "Yggdrasil, keep it up with the rocks! And...Go Aquaticia! Let's give him something to wash all that down with. Tsunami!"

*David, meanwhile, struggled against the wind to Jeff and Mahri, who were struggling to keep themselves and the dragoon from being sucked in.* "Let me help." *Anchoring himself as best as he could, he helped pull the dragoon behind one of the sturdier piles of rubble.*

[Neo Zanther]

"Ok, lets have some fun with you. I summon you Raquezez!" Raquezez appeared from it's card and flew next to Neo. "Use Code Rewrite on that giant blob over there."

Raquezez sent a beam of data towards Gluttony. It struck Gluttony and engulfed it in a bubble that looked like white noise (no sound). Now they just had to wait and see.


(Josiah, check the ROM Dex for effect of attack and you decide what happens)

[Josiah]

*Unfortunately, being a boss, Gluttony's resistence to that type of attack was significantly higher than usual and the code rewrite ended up not doing anything except distract Gluttony.*

"Keep it up guys, he has to be weakening! Or at least getting heartburn or something... Hey that's an idea! Aquaticia, use Acid Rain! Let's see him suck that up."

((Wow, I just remembered that we sent Virgo and Metalmorph off to look for Shauni. I really should post something about what they're doing shouldn't I? Well, I'll think about it and do something in my next post.))

[Neo Zanther]

"Dam, didn't work. Note, attack doesn't work on bosses. Well, lets give this one a try. Raquezez rush towards Gluttony". Just before it got sucked in, "Use Barrier!" Raquezez formed a barrior right infround of Gluttony effectivly cutting off the suction to the group.

[Josiah]

"I think he's waekening guys! Let's go for the kill! Aquaticia, Super Splash! Yggdrasil, Rock Crusher!"

[Simeon]

Gluttony's sludgy face grinned widely as Yggdrasil and Aquatica wound up for their attacks.

"Thaaat wouuuld nooot be wiiise, Waaaarioooorr... hahahahaaaa...."

As Gluttony laughed, the screams and shouts of all whom Gluttony devoured rose from his gaping maw.

"Fall back!" Josiah ordered, shocked and suspicious about the fearful cries rising from Gluttony's gut. "What are you trying to pull, Gluttony?!" the lead Gamer demanded.

"Hahhaaa... I kneeewwww youuu'd tryyy to fiiiinishhh me ooofffff, Warrior..." Gluttony answered cooly, "Soooo I toook the liiibertyy of NOT diiigesting the last feewww meeeals I aaate..."

"Hostages." Simeon growled, utterly digusted.

"Yeesss... Kill meee, youuu kiiilll the goood fooolk of Shiiiloooh."

Pedr could hear his daughter's cries rise from Gluttony's mouth.

"Aria..." he muttered trying to sit up, "Ne anak... Save her..."

"I wish I could lend a hand..." Jeff muttered to himself. "I left my gun back at the Sladestown Inn..."

Just then, the holstered weapon landed in the snow next to Jeff.

"Whuh?!"

Looking over his shoulder, the Orcan General saw two familiar faces behind him... "Ivy? ... Ibun?!"

"You guys took off without us." Ibun explained, "We found your gun on our way tracking you down here."

"The Dragoon looks wounded." Ivy spoke, "I'll tend to him and Mahri. You and Ibun can go and help the others."

Jeff hesitated. This Dryad was a former Sin, after all.

Ibun just laid a hand on Jeff's shoulder. "Trust her, Jeff. I do."

Jeff nodded and loaded his handgun.

"Let's rock."

((... Best I can come up with at 1o'clock in the morning. ^^ ))

[Neo Zanther]

Neo thought fast, something he was fairly good at doing. "Well, there is one way around your trick. Since you are so larege this will be easy. Raquezez use Worp to go inside his stomic and grab anyone alive in there!"

Raquezez created a hole right infrount of itself and flew in. Neo could see the discusting stomic area of Gluttony. There were quite afew people in there. Raquezez could only grab afew at at time. Soon far away from Gluttony Raquezez came back with people in it's claws and those that could cling to it. Then it went back to repeat. After afew trips half of the people had been saved so far, the alive ones anyway. Neo didn't know how much longer this could be kept up until Gluttony would find a way to stop him.

[Josiah]

((Great post Simeon!))

"Looks like your trick isn't working too well." *Josiah glared at Gluttony as Neo worked to save the hostages.* "But now you've made me mad. Hell Fire, merge with me and form, Flame Lord!!!" *When the light from the transformation faded, Josiah's entire body seemed to be engulfed in fire as he hovered a few feet above the ground. "Let's see you eat this! Omega Inferno!!!"

((Short post, I gotta get to school.))

[Simeon]

Gluttony retaliated with a huge blast of Poison Breath. The poison in the gust instantly ignited and was blown back toward Flame Lord, catching the fire infused Warrior off-guard.

Rayquezez was making another pass to rescue more Shiloan Villagers, when Gluttony's long, slobbery tongue caught the Code monster and started flailing it around like a whip. The flailing action slammed both Neo and Josiah, and entangled Simeon... Simeon being promptly swallowed.

Gluttony started laughing just as a hail of bullets and plasma fire rained from above. Jeff and Ibun were providing cover fire from a perch on the ice cliffs... Gluttony proceeded to inhale the cover fire, leaving him foolishly open to attack.

Just then, Simeon's sword split open Gluttony's backside and he tumbled out with a scared little girl in his arms.

"C'mon, Gluttony." Simeon sneered, "You're getting lazy... I know you have more than THAT up your greedy backside... Kick it up a notch!"

((Hurried postikku. Have to get ready for work, mew.))

[Neo Zanther]

"Ouch. Didn't know Rayquezez could be used as a whip." Neo soon got back on Kuiia and Rayquezez came back to it's sences. "Ok, start dropping people off futher away from Gluttony.", Neo told Rayquezez. Meanwhile Neo had Kuiia move the other rescued people further away out of Gluttony's reach. Worp was such a good attack. Neo just hoped there wasn't too many more left in there.




Soon all the surviors of the village where safely away from Gluttony. Rayquezez confurmed that no more survivors were left.

"Ok, that's all that can be rescued. Lets go get him now!"

[Josiah]

"I have to admit, you're a bit smarter than you look." *Josiah quickly recovered from the attack.* "But, considering how you look, I guess that's not saying much." *As he was speaking, Jeff and Ibun caught gluttony off guard followed by Simeon. Seeing that Neo was using the commotion to rescue the remaining villagers, Josiah decided it was time he rejoined the battle.* "Fireball charge!" *Surrounding himself in a blaze of flames he shot forward, crashing into Gluttony's face, bouncing back, and doing it again and again.*

"Ok, that's all that can be rescued. Lets go get him now!"

*Hearing Neo's cry, Josiah changed tactics.* "Fireball charge!" *he shot forward again but this time right into Gluttony's open mouth. The sin began to laugh but not for long.* "Now, time to teach you why you should watch what you eat! Armegeddon Explosion!!!" *Flames exploded outward from Josiah's body like a bomb, tearing into Gluttony's innards.*

*Meanwhile, far away, Virgo, Mirror, and Metalmorph were flying high over a grassy valley.*

"Hold on..." *Virgo frowned as Midnight Wing slowed down.* "I sense something not very far east. Something strong... It's not Shauni's aura but there is something familiar about it..."

((Hey Shauni, giving you a chance to jump back in here if you feel like it. The creature Virgo is sensing could be Shauni (considering how much she changed). Or, if you don't want to meet up with anyone yet, you or Neo or I can figure out something else for that thing to be.))

[Neo Zanther]

"You might want to move away now Josiah." Shouted Neo.

"I summon you Fenix!" The brightly colored bird appeared from it's card. "Fly near Gluttony!" Fenix got close to Gluttony and then Neo issued his next command. "Kuiia, Barrior around Fenix and Gluttony now!" A giant barrior formed around both the boss and monster. "Rayquezez, worp and grab Simeon and the person he carried out and get them near the others!" Now Neo was ready. "Now lets see how you fair aginst this! Fenix use Apocalypse!"

A large ball of fire was launched and it struck Gluttony straight on. Then erupted the raging infurno of Apocalypse. Kuiia was just bairly managing to keep the Barrior up so that the attack couldn't get out.

[Silver]

"Well, that was a nice skillet nap."

"Are we going to go after that sin guy now?"

"Yeah, I guess so."

"Except we kind of lost him."

"Nah, he mentioned a lazy town, right? And the only town anywhere around here is the one that was on fire yesterday. He's probably too lazy to go anywhere farther than that."

"...Did Silver just make an intellegent point?"

"Now which way was that again...?"

"...Come on, let's go..."

So they took off, and they were fling... and they were flying... and then they found the town from before. It did look slightly singed, but there were still people there, doing... not much.

"There's... definitely something wrong with this town."

"Are they all sick or something?"

"Hey... you, with the pillow! Wasn't there a fire here last night?"

"Huuuuh?" the villager said with a yawn. "Oh... you muuuuust mean the controlled buuuurning. Someone got sick, and no one felt like cuuuuuuring them, so we juuuuust torched the place..."

"Well that's ruuuuuude."

"That's the policy instated by ouuuuuuur leader, Sloth. Now if youuuuuu'll excuuuuuse me, I've been awake for more than eight minuuuuutes..."

"Well, I guess that explains it."
