Josiah vs Kevin

"Ah ah! Finally a good challenge." Kevin said out loud while he looked at the sky, not really intimidated by this rock rain.

He concentrated for a split second, using his psychokinetic powers to toss every single rock above Josiah, then making them rush him with the most force he can muster.

While the shower headed toward his main enemy, Kevin did a small upward thrust with his arm, causing a small void vortex to quickly form under Yggdrasil. From the vortex shot up a big spike of dark energy with the strenght of a geyser, looking more like shadows than a real spike yet being very damaging.

Yggdrasil took the hit and remained standing, although it took a lot of damage in the process. Josiah promptly returned Yggdrasil to its card and watched as the rocks hurtled towards him. Then he vanished, reappearing in the air high above the battlefield. "Ok, enough with stealth." he said as he began to fall through the air. "Time to really get this battle started. Go, Mythril Dragon!"
((Myhtril Dragon - Wind/Metal, a light wyvern type dragon covered in silvery metal, big enough to hold one person, has incredibly high defense.))
Mythril Dragon appeared, swooping down beneath Josiah, who landed smoothly on its back. "Let's go!" Josiah pointed towards the ground where Kevin was standing, guiding Mythril Dragon lower. "Start with Air Gun!" Roaring eagerly, Mythril Dragon began firing a series of ultra fast invisible bursts of air at Kevin

Kevin noticed that the dragon fired something, but his eyes revealed nothing. However, he sensed many small concentrations of air energy coming toward him, and fast. Beside, "Air Gun" helped him alot in determining what to use.

Although he had no time for anything else an aerokinesis was the best he could possibly muster against this, controlling the first balls into rendering them inert, effectively turning them into normal air. The attack as a whole was too fast for him though and the remaining balls hit him hard, making him feel as if he was smashed with a tree...a whole tree. He edged back a few feets from each blast until the barrage stopped.

He shaked a bit before falling on one knee, apparently exhausted, then stood back quickly despite his bruises. "Nah, just kidding." After getting up, Kevin swarmed dark energies around both Josiah and his more dangerous pet.

Although Mythril Dragon had a very high defense, it was somewhat weak to dark attacks so Josiah had no plans to stick around and get hit. "Supreme Guard, Velocity!" The two powerup moves took a moment to activate, causing Mythril Dragon to take a few glancing strikes from the dark energy, but the large increases in defense and speed were worth it.

Dodging away from the dark energy, Mythril Dragon drew slightly closer to the spot where Kevin stood. Josiah quickly planned his next move. Air Gun had worked well but it would be a minute before he could use it again. He needed a different followup and, since fast attacks seemed to be somewhat of a problem for Kevin... "Invincible Charge!!!" Josiah held on tight as Mythril Dragon began its attack.
((Invincible Charge, Myhtril Dragon's defense is majorly increased for the duration of the attack then it charges and tries to physically smash into its target. Strong enough to shatter a boulder. Speed is roughly equivalent to that of an Air Gun blast because of the speed enhancing effect of Velocity.))

The dark swarm that had attacked Josiah and his dragon seemed to cling on and propagate itself slowly in them, corrupting them with the power of void. While they were buffing themselves their slightly diminishing energy got absorbed by Kevin, who healed his bruises with a smirk on his face.

When the duo charged the Dark Guardian, he didn't move a single muscle, instead concentrating the energy he gathered at every moment he had a moment of peace. When the beast was mere meters away from collision, he suddenly unleashed all of his reserves into a massive blast of darkness directed at his enemies, hopefully too slow or carried in their momentum to react.

(For reference, Voidstruck (the status effect the previous attack inflict) cause 5% HP loss each round, so it isn't damaging in the short run, however Kevin regenerate for each enemy Voidstruck. The attack he is currently using is a fully charged and overdrived Dark Burst...which is strong enough to at least put anyone who don't resist darkness near-death or, more likely, utterly obliterate them )

Seeing the attack, Josiah jumped off of Myhtril Dragon's Back, landing safely on the ground nearby. In the meantime, Mythril Dragon shot straight through the darkness and smashed into Kevin with a tremendous force. ((Considering how close you let MD get, there's really no chance of avoiding that.))

Thanks to the earlier defensive boost and the temporary one granted by Invincible Charge, Myhtril Dragon was still standing, although a bit weak. However, not likeing the look of the status effect Kevin had inflicted on it, Josiah returned it to its card, knowing that nothing would be able to affect it there.

Not wanting to give Kevin a chance to recover, Josiah was already beginning his next move. "Go Electriblast! Multi-Striker!" ((I assume you remember that attack from PV Combat.))

Kevin didn't expect the dragon to even be in one piece after this attack (it is his strongest spell after all) so he took the full attack on him, thankfully his armor alleviated the damage from both the initial shock and the subsequent smashing into a nearby tree.

He clutched his chest in pain as Josiah withdrawn his monster, some bones being broken, but his smirk didn't vanish from his face. He spoke a few words, replacing him with an identical clone that will react realistically to attacks while the real Kevin appeared on the top of his plant pet.

"Took you long enough...Aquae Formus."
The tree stopped moving and focused on healing Kevin, restoring him to top shape in half a minute along with the help of the Mythril Dragon, whose card still transferred life to Kevin even though Josiah's mount didn't get any more damaged than it was.

"Oh...let's give them some company..."
Kevin took a small pufferfish out of his pockets and sent it through a voidhole to where Electriblast and Josiah are, hopefully distracted by the Shadow Clone. Once it appeared there, nonsense started to fill the air as it spouted random bits of engrish and overall blabbering, causing confusion to listeners.

((Can you really be pulling life from MD while it's in its card? I need to know some more about that attack...))

Electriblast was relentless assaulting the fake Kevin, although not realizing that it was fake, when a strange fish suddenly appeared near Josiah and began spouting off a long chain of random nonsense.

"The heck?" Josiah gave the fish an odd look. Fortunately, after years of traveling with Silver, he was used to hearing weird stuff and was therefore spared from confusion.

That's not the real Kevin. Virgo's voice, transmitted via their psychic link, echoed in Josiah's ear. He's on the other side of the forest with his monster. I think he's healing.

Keep him busy. Josiah returned Electriblast. I'll be there soon.

Virgo dove down out of the sky in a flash, weaving through the trees, and stopping barely three yards from Kevin. "Mecha Overdrive!!!" Virgo unleased the legendary metal attack, sending a huge wave of metal energy straight at Kevin and Sporie.
((Legendary attacks... There's one for each element although hardly any monsters learn them. They take the form of very large, very fast, and immensly powerfull waves of energy. Considering the size and speed, it's pretty much unavoidable at this range. Josiah's fastest transformation with the Supreme Haste card might be able to barely get out of the way in time.))

A moment later, Josiah appeared at her side, waiting to see the aftermath of the blast. "If that plant survives this, it won't be standing much longer." he held up a new card. "You're up next Hell FIre." Hell Fire howled eagerly.

Kevin noticed a flash from the sky and instinctively readied his parrying stance. Sporie also created a small defensive skin of earth around it's body, however he didn't have time to fully make it before Virgo fired her metal energy wave.

"Technology element?!?...Doesn't matter how she does that but she's going down!"

The wave crashed against Kevin, yielding immense strenght...however it had troubles piercing his defence, he used the energy of his swords and his kinetic powers to somewhat shield himself from the ultimate attack. It was very straining for him however and he knew he couldn't keep it for long.

"Heh...he might have...some strenght after all...time for the Shadow Dance to start..."

He promptly vanished, thus letting the wave fully destroy a good chunk of Sporie's top area. However it reacted angrily and fired many beams at Virgo, having lost it's best flower yet. These beams were however weak. They were hopefully enough to distract Virgo while Kevin reappeared behind Josiah, suddenly attacking his back. Five more Kevins rose around him and joined in the Shadow Dance.

(Shadow Dance: makes five other Kevins to attack a single target, it is to note that Kevin's speed is between Josiah and Josiah with Supreme Haste or his speed fusion)

Virgo effortlessly deflected the beams with her spear. Meanwhile, Josiah sensed Kevin behind him and whirled around. The sudden action caused Kevin's sword to pierce his arm instead of his back. A moment later other Kevins began to appear, surrounding Josiah. But before the Kevin's could complete their next attack he vanished, reappearing next to Virgo and safely out of Kevin's range. Hopefully his sudden disapearance would cause them to hit each other.

"Angel's Restoration!" *Virgo sprang into action and quickly healed his wound.*

"Hell Fire, fry that plant with Magma Ocean." *Josiah called as the healing took effect.*

Hell Fire, who was currently standing about midway between Virgo and Sporie, howled, creating a towering wave of molten lava, which rolled forward and crashed over Sporie. ((Magma Ocean creates a large wave of lava which acts similiarly to a wave in the ocean, moving forward, breaking, and then crashing down. Not super fast but it's very wide and tall. Plus, the lava remains on the field until it cools so there will probably be some small fires springing up when the attack is finished.))

None of the Kevins made any effort to avoid or stop their attacks on each other, as their collective blades met nothing and passed right through them.

Kevin chuckled and hatched a plan as his shadows turned back into the dark mana they were made of. He used their remains to draw weird symbols that Josiah may or may not identify correctly as runes.

Sporie was not impressed by the lava, creating water inside the magma to make it harden quickly. It crashed on Sporie and set fire to the area around him, however the molten rocks on the tree turned to rock and Sporie used that as extra armor to have time to heal it's burns and regrow it's flower.

Josiah watched as Kevin began drawing runes. Although he knew what they were, he couldn't read that particular type of rune and, since runes often had to be read to use their full power, he wasn't sure how effective they'd be. "Virgo, Divine Gift! Hellfire, Flare Up then Fireball Charge!"
((Divine Gift, increases Josiah, Virgo, and Hell FIre's attack and defense.)) ((Flare Up, fast activating attack and speed boost for Hell Fire.))

Hell Fire quickly activated Flare Up then surrounding itself in a mass of searing flames and shot straight at Sporie, its stone armor melting instantly as Hell Fire's touch.

Meanwhile, no wanting to give Kevin time to finish whatever he was planning, Josiah drew the Zodiac Sword. "Zodiac Sky!" ((A fast moving beam that homes in on the target then explodes. It's Rainbow element.))

Sporie created water once again, this time around Hellfire in hopes of dousing his flames. In any case, ramming a tree at least ten times your size and strenght turns out to not be such a good idea because after easily shedding the stone armor it crash into something much more resistant: Sporie's trunk. The tree had splinters of wood teared away from the force of the blow but remained mostly intact, any flames caused by the attack extinguishing themselves quickly.

(For comparison purpose, think trying to smash a baobab with a mace. And Sporie isn't very flammable.)

Kevin finished his latest rune then looked at Josiah as he started his beam. "Hmmmmm...all elements heh?" One of the rune started floating and intercepted the beam, causing it to explode violently and drain the elements of the attack, making it weaker and thus doing only moderate damage to Kevin, spilling blood behind him. The remaining runes soon took off in direction of Josiah while Kevin started an unknown ritual, Mythril Dragon still unwillingly healing his enemy.

(Half of the runes are Mana Draining runes, which either makes attacks weaker or cause the target to have weakened spells, and the rest are normal exploding runes, which act as contact mines)
