To any of the gym leaders: why do you specialise in ONLY ONE type?
Image "The reasons are different for each gym leader. There are a handful of gym leaders who don't specialize but it's easier to get Pok?mon League approval if your gym has a theme to it so we usually just pick our favorite type and stick with that."

Then why did nobody ever think of theming their gym "Awesome" and thus chuck lots of different pokemons in it?

If this question were asked before, plese refer me to the proper post:

To May and Brendan: If you were gym leaders, what would be your theme?
*waves hand in a jedi-like manner* Move along. Nothing to see here...

Image "Well, now that the forums are fixed, I'm just gonna quickly go through the last few questions just to get caught up. To save time, I'm gonna answer these myself. After this post, questions will be answered by characters again like usual.

A gym themed awesomeness? Aside from the grammer issues, I don't think the Pokémon League would be too thrilled about that.

The numaber of people Roxanne, or any gym leader, battles in a day varies considerably by day. Some days can see upwards of twenty challengers that actually make it to the gym leaders buy usually the numbers are much lower. Some days there aren't any at all.

No Cali doesn't hate Xain, although his sense of direction does get on her nerves. And yes, they are dating.

I think we all know the answer to that question. *rolls eyes*
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:

Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.

Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:

Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

Josiah, how did you find an original idea for a webcomic when there are already thousands of them out there?

Image "When I decided to start my own sprite comic, one of the first things I decided was that I would base it off a game that either hadn't been done as a sprite comic before or hadn't been done well. If someone has already made a really good comic about a certain game there's no point in doing the same thing (unless you plan to take it in a totally different direction than that comic, like doing a drama instead of a comedy or something like that). Too bad a lot of other people don't realize that... Anyway, I had a list of several possible games I was considering. It included Pokémon, Zelda, and Star Tropics, among others. Pokémon seemed like a pretty good one but the old games just didn't have good enough graphics to do a comic with. Then, I got Pokémon Ruby and, after seeing how nice all the sprites looked, I moved it to the top of my list. At that point, I spent a while searching the net to make sure there were any other Pokémon comics out there. There weren't so I began making a website, capturing sprites, planning a story and the like. This whole process took a while so by the time Pebble Version actually went online another Pokémon comic had beaten me to the punch but it was different enough from PV that it didn't affect my plans. And I think that covers everything."
