Polar: The Conquest

(Sorry, being a knight normally involves horses. Guess I forgot the whole "Alternate dimension" thing. Anyway, post edited.)

Karik noticed the screaming of the knight he'd de-legged had attracted another two knights.

"Well well. Looks like I've got company."

Both of them shot arrow after arrow at him, but quick swings and blocks left all the arrows broken on the ground. Holding up his sycthe Karik flung it at the knights, causing it to spin and cut one of the knights, and knocking the other one over. A stray arrow went past Karik's leg, cutting it.

"That's just great." mumbeld Karik while running, slightly limping, over to retrive his scythe.

Cobalt stared at Ransom. "Uh, sure, I'll help..." He glanced at the Damascus in his belt. "I'm not too good at fighting though..." He shrugged and headed for the door, holding it open for his new 'friend.' "Do I just swing this around and hope it hits one of those...whatsis...Dukanites?"

(Gah, braindead.)

Just breathe....Nothing wrong with defending your life...even if you end one...
A Dukaknight came rushing towards Shecil.
''Die ya emo ba---''
Don't. Call. Me. Like. That. Shecil while said made a gash in the attacking Dukaknight's arm with his sharp staff.
''Arg! That hurt'' *pupitar'd*
Hmp... Shecil smirked.
*Plot twist'd...not!*

"If you'd stay back you wouldn't get hurt." *Taizen glanced at the girl.* "And as for you," *he turned back to Omed,* "you shouldn't have taken your eyes off me." *In an instant his chain was wrapped around Omed's neck. With one hand Taizen reached down and hauled the startled knight to his feet and with the other he grasped the blade on the end of his chain, holding to to Omed's neck.* "Now, how about calling off your men?"

Ransom was enlightened that Cobalt agreed.
"Dukaknights, apparentely, are bad people, that follow this guy named Duka. About all I know." He explained, walking outside the pub.
But unfortunately, the fight was already over.
"Gah!" He moaned, hating how he missed the minibattle.
"I'll never get to use my magic withen a fight..." He sighed.

T'kina rolled her eyes at Taizan.
"If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't of able to jump him like that."

Omed wheezed, but managed to pull a crystal from his pocket.
"See you later." He gasped as he and his minions and their limbs (>>) disappeared.

T'kina backed down.
"A...a crystal?"
Crystals are extremely rare in Polar. They can hold immunse magic, so you don't have to be a mage to use it.
She looked up and saw her twin.
"Good. You kept your word. Come on, let's go home." She smiled.

Ransom looked at her legs.
"You injured yourself?"
He lifted an eyebrow as he leaned onto his staff.

T'kina ignored his words and pulled him by the shirt.

"Gah!" he eligidle follow her.

Someone was watching the group as Omed and his gang vanished. He also overheard the twins talking.
"Hmm. Go home, if you can try." he laughed, before disappearing withen the shadows.

(Everyone can try going home. And by try, I mean, they're unable to. Nya!)

Karik looked around almost dissapointed that the dukaknights had vanished, but then the throbbing pain in his feet, along with his cut, sank in.

"I need to sit down." Looking around, Karik noticed a bench by a small weapons shop and ran towards it. When he got there he immediatly sat down and, even though he was in public, took off his shoes and socks and let his feet get air.

Shecil hung onto his staff, both exhausted and sick. ''And I'm still hungry....'' He sighed. ''But at least this place is better than home....Maybe if I follow those two, I'd be able to get some money or food.'' He looked at Ransom and T'kina

"You should be glad none of you were killed." *Taizen looked at the others.* "This place isn't an amusement park. You'd all be better off if you returned to where you came from and forgot about this place."

"Since when is what we do your business? And if we're not supposed to be here or whatever, how come YOU didn't just leave forget about this place?" Silver snapped back at Taizen, whose attitude he disliked. A week was more than enough time for Silver to decide that he liked visiting Polar, and obviously he had no intention of listening to the more experienced Polar...ian.

"Ah, Taizen, give the kids a break. You know, sometimes, despite what you think, you aren't the only savvy person in Polar. However, I will aggree that you all should hurry home, as your parents are probably worried by now." he smiled. "And I doubt any of you will want that." 

Sydney {who by the way wears a sort of pirate attire in Polar} Approached Taizen. "Aye, are you in charge o' these runts?" he asked the person who seemed to be the leader.

"Hardly." *Taizen studied the newcomer. He was from Earth but older than most of the people who stumbled across unsecured portals. However, he didn't look like an employee of the Darkwind Corperation ((the Earth company working with Duka to harness the power of the portals)) and probably would have sided with the Duka Knights if he was.* "With the exception of that one," he indicated Joshua, "this is the first time I've met any of them, but I suspect I know far more about this place than all of them combined. Karik listened to both Taizen and Joshua, and, putting his shoes back on, went over to them.

"Hey, you." Said Karik toward Taizen "Who do you think you are that you can act like some god of this place. Youi act like you know everything, well ever think they're people here on thier buisness, and don't need some guy telling them to leave or they might die?"Karik started walking away, but stopped when he reached Joshua.

"Just so you know, I'm 23 and I don't have parents."

"Sheesh, I wasn't talking to everyone." said Joshua. "But I have something to add. Kid, or grownup or whatever, you really need to lighten up. Sure, Taizen may be a bit....well, he can be a jerk if he doesn't know you, or even if he does know you. But that doesn't mean he isn't at least partially correct. This is dangerous. If the money wasn't so great, I'd split here before you could say, 'snake-eyes'."

The twins ran back into Myraid.

"How could of this happen?

"I don't know!

"We're....we're...we're gonna get grounded!" She whined

By now the twins already fingured out that their portal and their spare one didn't work.

"If you just of let me try some of my magic...." Ransom started

"No Ransom! You'd probably just end up sending us to some other world that has no air!" T'kina snapped.

Ransom growled.
"So, what ARE we gonna do?" He asked.

"Good question." She looked around and saw that most of the 'gang' was still in Myraid. She didn't know who to ask, or to trust.

"What about those two guys?" Ransom pointed to Joshau and Taizan with his staff. "I can do that thing with my staff to see if they're earthlings." He asked.

"They do act like they are from Earth...." T'kina sighed. "Alright. do your magic."

Ransom did a 'yes' mini cheer as his brought the globe end upwards. Focusing his power, his globe glowed as he peered into it.
"They both are." He explained.

"Your magic better be right." She sighed, walking towards them.

"Excuse me..." She tapped Taizan on the shoulder. "Remember me from the fight? Well, I was wondering...." She looked in both directions then whispered "What do you know about Portals?"

''...'' Shecil sighed as he walked back to the place the others are. ''Still hungry....Still thirsty....Still bleeding from that arrow in my foot...Things can NOT get any better!'' He shouted. He sits on a bench and tries to take a nap, bleeding feet or no bleeding feet.
