Hey now. I actually beat the elite four with two of those guys. You'd be surprised at how impressive a level 43 Graveler can be when backed into a corner by a higher level Charizard.Shadowman wrote: I'd have to say Graveler, Kadabra, Machoke and Haunter.
Why?
Because you need a damn link cable to make them evolve!

I also wish to point out that while luvdisc does suck, out loud, it does have the swift swim ability. Because, to quote pokemonofthedaychick,Celebifly wrote: Luvdisc clearly becuase it has the lowest stats without having a specal ability (comparing it to Ditto and Smeargle).
Besides, Ditto rocks. It's my main breeder in Emerald. And I was bored and raised it to level 50 and teamed it up with Espeon and Houndoom to create a team which rocked in those tents.
With his characteristic, Rain Dance doubles Luvdisc's Speed...which is actually pretty decent even without it (don't get your hopes up; that is the ONLY decent thing about Luvdisc). Give a Pokemon a great Speed and make all the rest of his stats uber-crappy, give him a characteristic that conditionally yet vastly increases his Speed further, and then let him learn the much-coveted Agility naturally...the not-so-hidden message here? When you suck as much as Luvdisc does, you wanna be able to get away from the hordes of people and Pokemon that would love nothing more than to utterly wipe you from existence FAST.
You guys really need to read all of her reviews. She's the best.

Yeah. I read all of them. Too bad I suck at trying to comprehend EVs.Stevenson wrote: With his characteristic, Rain Dance doubles Luvdisc's Speed...which is actually pretty decent even without it (don't get your hopes up; that is the ONLY decent thing about Luvdisc). Anyway, another useless pokemon I'd like to point out would be Chimecho. Sure it's psychic, but it's movepool and stats borderline on teh suck. No wonder they made it so hard to catch. It's hiding it's shame from the world.
I always buy that pokemon and evolve it ASAP. There are no other water types for ages, and its evolved form is a thing to be feared. Im talking about the old Pokemon Red, I dont do it on fire red any more. Charmander knows Metal claw, so the caves are easy this time around.Silver wrote:HA HA IBUN. It seems that unlike the general population I have nothing against Magikarp. I've purposefully bought the $500 Magikarp in the Pokemon Center by Mt. Moon and gotten it to level 15 (which is when it learns Tackle) before proceeding to kick Team Rocket's butt with it... and whichever starter I happened to be using. Mostly whichever starter I happened to be using.
Well, I think it's pretty obvious who I think the most Useless Pokemon is. I'm not even going to bother telliSWELLOWSWELLOWSWELLOWng you. All you need to know is thaSWELLOWSWELLOWt it's blue, annoying, weSWELLOWSWELLOWak, and a bird.
Luvdisc sucks too, and I'm not overly fond of Feebas. It takes forever to catch, and for what? A Pokemon that learns the same attacks as Magikarp and evolves into something not even half as cool as Gyarados.

Now why do you say that? Swellow may be annoying, but it isn't useless. It has good attack, and speed, but dies from a single surf. :PSilver wrote:[Well, I think it's pretty obvious who I think the most Useless Pokemon is. Now, probably the most useless pokemon would be a Metapod/Katacuna/Silcoon/Cascoon found in the wild, and Razor Wind, that's a pretty useless move.

Magikarp. It just sucks. The only reason I caught one is to evolve it into a Garydos, which I got from a friend through a trade later anyways.
Actually, I just remembered something. The most useless pokemon is a kakuna or a metapod. If you catch them in the wild.

Personally speaking, no pokemon is useless. If they were, why put them in the game to start with? I have for fun used afew of the pokemon you have called usless in games and have actually done fairly well with them. All cept Luvdisc cause they apear so late in the game that I don't feel like capturing it and trying to train it. Yes, some of the bug that have that shell secound stage may be useless in that stage but it's only for 3 levels and then you get something decent. I've been in the elite 4 with a Butterfree and Beedrill and both did fairly well there. Butterfree has kicked Agitha's butt several times in my Yellow.
With all that said, I have no pokemon to add to said list :)

If you don't count pokémon that evolve into something better (ones like Magikarp, Metapod, and the like) that narrows the list a lot and, to be honost, nearly anything can be at least half decent if you level if up enough (Luvdisc for example). However, I think we can all agree that Unown is completely useless. Not only does it have lousy stats, it can't be taught any moves and doesn't learn any except Hidden Power.
