((*acts like a little kid* YAY! I think my writer's block died!))

Simeon sheathed his weapon and bowed.

"Honorable Warrior, I ask that I join your group."

Josiah sheathed his sword and looked at the others for a moment before facing Simeon.

"What are your reasons?"

Simeon lifted the sleeping Mahri into his arms.

"Mahri reminded me of a prophecy that was spoken to me by the Archangel: The destiny of my wielder lies with heroes from a life left behind." Simeon spoke softly, "You have come as foretold, and I have been watching all of you... You must be the ones I must follow."

Josiah focused to think. Simeon was a quiet being, definitely not very fast, and almost too peaceful... unless he was really riled up. Would it really be worth it if he tagged along?

"What can you do for us?"

"Master Neo may know some of this continent, but I've been able to observe it more closely." Simeon started his offer, "I may not be the best ally to have in battle, but I will certainly be of use to you as a guide..."

"I suppose it would be nice to have a guide for a change." *Josiah nodded slowly.* "And from what I've seen, your powers could prove useful. It's ok with me. What do the rest of you think?"

"I have no objections."

"Well, Tsuekasa and I have been joined, just not offically. We'll just have to wait for the offical cerimoney. But we're comming too. Hate for you all to have all the fun. And I've placed Zanther inside the destroyed shrine. We shouldn't have to worry about him again."

((ROM has been sitting inactive for too long. It's time to post people! Even if all you do is a short conversation. Not every post has to be some big plot thing.))

*Leaving D-Edge, the group followed the road north. Since it seemed that the Seven Deadly Sins would be tracking them down no matter where they were, they decided that it would be best to simply see as much of the continent as possible while looking for useful information, powerful spell cards, and the like. At Simeon's advice, they decided to take a northenly route which would lead them across the plains and forests near D-Edge, up into the frigid northern mountains, through the desert country past the mountains, and eventually down the tropical far coastline until they returned to the port city where they had first arrived. That was, of course, assuming that events didn't force them to change their plans, something that, given past experience, wouldn't be surprising.*

*They made good time for a while, spending most of the first two days in the air, rapidly passing over seemingly endless seas of trees and grass. On the night of the second day they reached a medium sized town named Sladestown not far from the base of the Shiva mountain range.*

"Guess it'll be all on foot from here." *Jeff commented as they searched for an inn.*

"Correct." *Simoen, who had visited the area before, replied.* "The winds in the mountains and too strong and too unpredictable to fly in."

"Aw, but we always walk."

"Hey, at least we're used to it. You should be glad this world isn't like Pok?mon or we'd never be able to fly anywhere we hadn't been before."

"Pok?mon?" *Virgo frowned. Although she had heard Josiah and the other gamers use the word before, she had never been able to figure out its meaning.*

"It's a game from our world."

"Yeah. In Pok?mon you guide your character through a large world while catching and training creatures called Pok?mon that you can use to battle other people's Pok?mon. Most of us were big Pok?mon players before we came to Orca."

"I see... Actually it sounds kind of similiar to what we do here."

"There are lots of differences. But Sutra ripped off tons of games when she made this world so yeah."

*Shauni, who usually had something to say when the subject of conversation turned to the hacker who had created the original ROM progra, remained oddly silent. Josiah gave her a questioning look but was distracted a moment later when they arrived at the inn.*

It was weird. The current feeling Neo had. It was weird in a way cause he felt diffrent now. He hadn't felt this way for almost 2 years now after Zanther took over his body. Now he almost felt incomplete. But it was a good felling. Good cause the evil presence that was Zanther was no longer with him controling him. But still, he couldn't stop thinking about all the past events. He was also worried about Zanther's card. Yes, he had buried it under the rubble of the dark shrine that was in the forest. Just like they had with Bowen. But he couldn't help but think. Zanther was cunning and knowing him, he could find a way to escape. Though nothing could get out of it's card once it was in it. So far Bowen hadn't showed back up yet and he was way stronger then Zanther ever was. But the though of him escaping never could leave his mind. Tsuekasa and Metalmorph had both asked him what was on his mind and he told both of them.

After 2 days they landed at a town. Neo had been here before when he went to train in the Mountians and caught Ice Bird when it was still young.

The group begain to search for an Inn and talked about Pokemon for abit. "I know where there is an Inn. Follow me." said Neo. In notime they were checked into the inn for the night. "Now what?"

"Virgo and I are going out for a bit." *Josiah announced.* "There's a couple things I want to take care of before it gets too dark. We won't be gone too long."

"Why are you two always sneaking off together anyway?"

"Silver, leave them alone. Ignore him, you guys can have all the alone time you want."

"That's really not it..." *Virgo blushed then turned and followed Josiah who was already nearing the door.* "We should tell them soon." *she waited to speak until they were both outside.*

"There's a few things we should tell them." *he took her hand and they headed for the edge of town.* "And we will, soon. For this, there's a few more things I want to confirm first. For the other, well, we just need to wait for the right moment."

"Yes." *she smiled.* "I hope that moment comes soon."

Mahri was sitting on the napping Simeon's lap as she played with the figurines Simeon had made a few days before.

Simeon had directed their route past Havenwood, stopping only to give his sone, Joshua, his instructions. With the children of Havenwood safely under the protection of Joshua, Simeon had no regrets as he and Mahri travelled with the part of holy warriors.

Sladestown was very familiar to Simeon, and he was almost at home here. Sladestown was a mining town, where various ores and fuels were sifted and mined for trading, among other things.

A number of fine blacksmiths had made their livings here, and several mastersmiths were training apprentices. Many smithys that trained here and move on to work elsewhere would go to great lengths to acquisition materials from Sladestown... for obvious reasons.

... So it was obvious that Simeon learned his blacksmithing skills here. The townsfolk knew the lionman well and respected him, despite his frightening form.

Mahri looked in the mirror. Normally, she was just another Inari'in -- a Fox Person, but sometimes, when she knew no one was watching, she'd pretend she were one of the dragonpeople who lived in the cold mountains past the mining village. Black-haired and tan skinned with emerald eyes...

Sometimes, if she pretended hard enough... she became one...

Marhri didn't know why...

Simeon dreamed.

Mahri was powerful, but unaware of this power. A little girl with the power to rewrite history... The power to change not just the world around her to whatever she desired, but to transform the hearts and minds of living people as well.

He dreamed a terrifying dream of a black dragon decimating a clutch of mountain huts... and carrying away a little child in his talons.

Then he'd look down... to see a sword in his own chest and his beastial form evaporating, leaving behind the husk of a man--

A scream jolted Simeon awake. Thankfully, it was a playful one borne from surprise.

Jeff was playing hide and seek with Mahri. Mahri was still a fox-girl... though, Simeon sensed that Mahri was dreaming of the dragonpeople in the mountains again.

Nice folk, the Dragoons were. They were the couriers for orders of ore and coal outside of Sladestown... for obvious reasons. These were humans with dragon-blood in their viens... Some looked wholly human, others had draconic features that developed over time, others were true half-dragons. Births were hard, for obvious reasons, and mortality was high... but they were a people of honor and good spirits. Noticibly backward, Simeon observed the Dragoons to having only one deity, in contrast to the pantheons the other Orcannon cultures had. Because of their draconic ancestry, the Dragoons of Shiva live in ninja-esque villages, out of a mutual benefit. Aside from being speedy deliverymen, the Shivan Dragoons were formidable fighters... Most obviously, their trademark weapons and moves involved heavy spears and high jumps. ((I know. Hard to follow. This was off the top of my head, mew. ><;; ))

<Come to think of it...> Simeon mused as he put Mahri's figurines back into her felt pouch, He glanced out the window to the snowy mountains of the north. 

((Shoot me. This is side/sub-quest material...))

((... So... Yeah. I've become more than a bit infatuated with Dragoons. Blame my re-run of FF4. Don't worry, if you're familiar with Final Fantasy, the Dragoons I've stuck in here are just like the Dragoons from that game [except for the fact they look like Japanese with green eyes, and have leet ninja skillz. Yes. Ninjas. Blame Naruto and my son.] ><;; ... and it's just a random thing. Totally bi-passable. And that's that for tonight.))

(performs CPR with Simeon)

Mirage was getting tired, it had been the longest time she has had to hold a form for and it was wearing away her reserves. She sat down and lent back on a chair, a clear look of fatigue crossed her features.

She began to drift in and out of consensus, before she relented and gave in.

(who is actually travailing with out group now, we need a review)

Her form shifted from that of Shauni, to her own, a woman covered in silver armour that was reflective as a mirror.

She began to snore rather loudly as she recouped her much needed energy.

Meanwhile, in Shauni's neck of the woods.

The multiple personalities that now made up Shauni sat in a tree top near the base of operations of the hero's new sworn enemy, the House of Seven Sins.

"Shauni, I really think we should attack. The three of us are more than powerful enough." The older sounding voice advised
"Onee-chan is right!" the younger sounding voice spoke enthusiastically.
"It's not a good idea...not until we found out why I have the soul of Envy within me..." spoke the voice that was Shauni.

There was a long pause
"Well..." the older voice spoke "What then?"
A look of confusion crossed Shauni's face
"I'm going to have to ask for the child's help...her powers haven't been tainted like mine...I'll ask her to free me of all of you"
"You can't do that!"
"That's not fair!"
Shauni physically sighed "What else CAN I do...?"
All the voices were silent

A new voice, the sound of a man spoke
"They hate you, there jealous of you...but they have everything you want"
Shauni's face looked surprised
"Envy?" spoke Shauni's voice
"The sin spoke..."
"HELLLO!"
Shauni's face smiled with a knowing grin
"I know why your here now...your trying to turn me against the others...well, it won't work...I don't care if they have everything I want..."
"But you do..."
Shauni's face looked shocked for a second, then said
"Reki..."
"...what?"
"Reki means pebble. You shut out everything and try to be stone so you don't get hurt...but secretly you hate people who can open up."
Shauni's face turned to anger
"Shut up"
"Reki! Reki! A small pebble! That's what you are! You let everything wash over you, you don't feel what they feel, your incapable of it!"
"SHUT UP!"
Shauni's arm suddenly became the cursed talon and she flashed her own face.
Blood splattered across the bark of the tree she sat in
She looked down towards her hand, now just her hand again, covered in her own blood
"You think you can hurt a voice in your head? you are VERY much deluded."
Shauni clenched the tree blanch hard with both hands in frustration.
"Rakka, falling"
"huh?"
"Fall, fall from the tree"
Shauni's face turned white
"If your dead you won't hurt anymore, and you won't hurt anyone else"
"You...your...your...NO! I won't!"
Shauni moved as far back to the trunk of the tree as she could
"I won't end it...not until I can't do any good..."
Her arms started to turn black, and feathers appeared on her skin, her eyes turning red
"You can't do any good. We will handle this problem"
"You might as well let us play"
"Self doubt is the key to our sell"
"Your useless"
"no..."
"NOOOO!" she screamed, but it turned into a screech, and Shauni took the form of the harpy once again, a confused and mindless creature who lusted for meat.
She flew up into the air and looked around quickly, spotting the House of Seven sin....and descended.

Simeon had a terrible headache... Leaving Jeff to tend to Mahri, the Lion-man wandered outside for a breath of cool air.

Two very potent disturbances were happening at the same time, and Simeon could feel both of them colliding. One he was sure of: Shauni's demon for had been unleashed again.

"Self-serving witches." Simeon muttered, "How in all of Orcannon did those two join the Pantheon?"

Knowing he could not reach Shauni at this point, Simeon turned his attention to the second disturbance... which, for one reason or another, was impossible to identify. All Simeon knew was that it was coming from the Mountains...

A man of about 25 years of age was thrown off a cliff, mortally wounded and the illusion of dragonflight fading away. The shout of a child could be heard as the flapping of dragon wings kicked up loose, powdery snow.

"PAPA!!" the 5-year-old child screamed as she watched her father fall into the snowy abyss below their mountain home.

*When Josiah and Virgo returned to the inn, the common room empty except for a woman sleeping at one of the tables.*

"Looks like everyone else went out, or to their rooms, or something." *Virgo commented.*

"Well we'll just..." *Josiah trailled off as his eyes locked on the sleeping woman. Grabbing Virgo's hand, he rushed across the room to get a better lock.*

"Mirage?" *Virgo asked as the drew closed.* "What's she doing out of her card?"

"We've been tricked, that's what." *Josiah muttered angrily.* "No wonder Shauni has been so quiet the last couple days."

"You mean..." *Virgo's eyes widened at the implications.* "Then where's the real Shauni?"

"I don't know. I can think of several possibilities but I don't like any of them... We'd better find the others."

"I'm gonna getcha!" Jeff playfully teased Mahri.

The little girl giggled and ducked under a chair... just as Josiah and Virgo strode into the room. The playful mood of the moment had evaporated, as Jeff sensed something was up.

Jeff turned to his friends. "Something's wrong... isn't there?"

Josiah pointed at the sleeping form of Mirage. "You bet." he paused and sighed, "Shauni tricked us, and we have no clue why..." Josiah looked around. "Where's Simeon, by the way?"

Jeff picked up Mahri. "Simeon said he had a bad headache. He went outside to get some air."

Marhi had the figurine of Shauni in her hand. "My Guardian Father hasn't gone far, Master Josiah."

"I hope that, Mahri." Josiah said in a gentle tone, "Let's find the others and go."

Jeff nodded and set Mahri down, taking care to walk at a pace she could catch up with.

Simeon turned his blank eyes to the mountains. There was smoke on the horizon...
