I feel really bad, because I used to make fun of him, saying he'd die doing his job... And, well... now I feel bad about making fun of him...

Look at this signature. Isn't it the funniest and most hilarious signature you've ever seen?

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned already... I also can't believe he's really dead. Steve Irwin got himself into all kinds of near death situations; it seemed like he was invincible... but no, done in by a sting ray, of all things. At least it wasn't a crocodile, I suppose... that would be TOO ironic.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I feel sorry for his kids. Doesn't he have a young daughter and a baby?

I though he'd get chomped up by a croc...but I find it rather ironic that a guy who put himself in tons of near-death situation die from a stingray...and there's only like 30 people who ever died from a stingray...I feel sad for his kids and wife.

I feel really sad by this. He died young. He was the pioneer of his field, and nobody's going to top him. Death is always sad, especially of the young. His kids and wife will have hard times ahead, because grieving for a lost family member is hard enough without being interviewed 50,000 times about it.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

HE HAD THE ACCENT!!
I was the first one in my family to point out he had an Australian accent. We were watching Crocodile Hunter and debating about what accent he had. I remember I was drying my hair at that time too. I always thought Steve was funny, and his show was one of my favorites. My friend told me about his death last night at a party. My first reaction was, "No way, you've got to be kidding." My second one, which came immediately after, contained a few words I shouldn't repeat. My third reaction was, "WHY?!?!?!"
Later on, I told Flora the news. The first thing she said was, "Did they kill the stingray that did it?"
We'll all miss him.

Meh Siggy Site
And another one because they decreased the number of allotted pages on free sites
I stayed up until 1:30 AM last night watching the Animal Planet Tributes to Steve and I cried until I fell asleep. His death felt like the death of a parent to me... But, the differences he made in this world will never disappear. That gives me comfort.

If you haven't guessed as much, I used to be Artemis around these parts.
