Lash and Silver walked along too. They, however, did think about it, and thought that it was better to be with a pack of soldiers than alone when against the Crusade.

Raphael didn't follow, but just rose an eyebrow. "Won't it be a bit conspicous if we all march together?" he said sarcastically.

Raven just shrugged.

"If they attacked, then it'd be the perfect chance to test everyone's skills. And if they fail, they fail."

"That's true...", Artemis agreed, picking up her pace a bit. She pushed Tikawa to the back of her mind and focused on what was happening around her. He had left on his own choice so it really shouldn't affect her. Artemis held firmly to that resolve. 

Gil moved over to stand beside Artemis as they walked. "Are you all right...?", he asked. When Artemis nodded, he smiled softly.

"Ey, boys! Look! It's dat guy, Raven! There's plenty on 'is 'ead! Get 'im!"

By the end of that sentence, at least 30 mercenaries had jumped out from the forest.

"Oh goodie. About time I got to see everyone's fighting skills."

Artemis and Gil found themselves facing a ring of seven of the mercenaries.

Gil drew his blade and charged at two of the mercenaries.

Artemis left her sword undrawn and decided to use her Necromancy instead. Looking at the remaining five mercenaries left to her, she said, "Shadow Succussion!" An enormous swarm of living shadows erupted around the mercenaries and began assaulting them. Nothing haulted their assault.

The other two mercenaries hit the ground dead. Gil smirked and lowered his blade, turning to check on Artemis' progress.

Aeria instantly spread her wings and leapt into the air, quickly ascending out of bow range from the ground. However, since she was above them, she could pick them off at will. It helped that she had used Lightning Spirit, giving her arrows an extra shock. She downed around eight mercenaries, then prepared to cast Storm Spirit.

Acantha, being unable to fly, plucked something small from one of her braids. A mercenary, thinking her unaware of his presence, charged at her with a broad sword. She twisted out of the blade's way easily, one hand fisted. The mercenary charged again, not even noticing that small leaves with serrated edges were rapidly curling around her fist. The Demon ducked under his sword and rolled behind him. By then, two long green stems of some sort had grown from the seed she held in her hand, meeting over her fingers and twisting to a sharp taper. By the time the mercenary realized he hadn't hit her, she'd run him through the back with her new weapon. "Stinging nettle," she said casually to no one, freeing the prong from his back. "I'd imagine he's in severe pain now, if he's still alive." Dodging another mercenary, she plucked another seed from her braid with her other hand.

(I'm aware her Plant Summon has similar effects as Lash's Plant Surge. Is that okay? *shifty eyes* I probably should have elaborated on what she could do with plants...)(If you (Artemis or Stevenson) think the two skills are too similar, please say so, and I'll edit this post accordingly.)

Artemis was doing fine, so Gil decided to continue with some more opponents. Three more mercs had come to face him and he wielded his blade. Within minutes, their bodies hit the ground either dead or injured.

Lash simply stood there. He and the vampyre seemed to be sharing close quarters with a few unwanted guests....
Raphael instantly drew his two daggesr. Moving too quickly for the human eye to track, he bgan disembowelling the mercenaries. He grabbed a discblade on his back and threw it, which killed about two mercenaries.

Lash drew his rose whip. He then touched the ground, and several tree roots came up and grabbed the mercenaries, effectively cutting off their air supply.

(Hmm... We've killed a total of 25 of the mercs so far.)

Artemis was confronted by four out of the five remaining mercenaries. She simply put her hands, palm first, out at them. "Theif of Vitae!", she called. The mercs looked at each other, feeling something stir inside of their bodies. Suddenly, blood covered the ground as large amounts gushed from each of them. "Not exactly my favorite attack, but effective...", Artemis said, lowering her hands to her sides.

(And one for Raven!)

The boss mercenary pulled out his blade, growling. "Raven, ye cheap ****. Prepare to die." He charged toward him while the others were distracted.

Raven just let out a quick chuckle. He waved his hand as a wave of frost magic flew out from him. The frost hit the mercenary and froze his legs to the ground. 
"The hell...!?" Raven then snapped his fingers, teleporting behind The mercenary. His right hand started charging a fireball as he raised his hand to the back of the mercenary's head.

"So sorry, you lose."

He let loose the fireball.

"Hm. What a mess." said Lash, kneeling to the ground. He ensured that the plants would be enriched by these corpses, and suddenly roots and vines covered the bodies, burrying them in the ground. The plants began to grow more vibrant.

Raphael picked up his blade disc and sneered. "Only thirty. I was hoping there were some more." he looked at Gil. "You got more than your fair share. Give everyone else a chance."

"Hey...I only got five of the lot of them. Pick on someone else. Artemis killed more than me, bug her about taking fair shares.", Gil replied in a joking manner, smiling and sheathing his blade once again.

Artemis hadn't really been paying attention to the others. She was idley walking away from her kills, stopping to stand near Raven and Gil.

Silver had mostly just sat back and watched the show, on account of the mini-army of rebels didn't seem to need his help. He'd been doing a lot of sitting back and watching lately... In fact, he'd been doing a lot of sitting back and watching his whole life, but that's besides the point.

Besides, he didn't exactly like having to kill. The others seemed to be enjoying themselves, though, so why not let them have their fun?

Raven rubbed his chin and turned to Silver, strolling toward him slowly.

"And how many did you kill?"

"Uh... none?"

"Do you even know how to wield a weapon?"

"No. No I don't." Silver replied before threateningly showing Raven a clawed hand. "Is that a problem?" the da'kor asked sarcastically.
