I suppose we could get our characters to try leaving the town to recruit people, then get stopped by more SCs. Get another fight in. Those are always fun. :K Or somehow make a "boss battle." You know how each SC squad/group/whatever in each region has it's own ruler guy? We could go take him down or something. oo

I went back and re-read the "general plot," and to quote Artemis...

After we all meet, we are met by a Crusde Guard, who finds out that we were doing something wrong, and tries to arrest us. We fight back, and then are marked as rebels. We eventually find the Leader of the Rebels, who then asks us to slay the leader of the Scarlet Crusade. Along the way, we must face other evils besides the Crusade. Such as mercenaries, bounty hunters, bandit lords, big monsters and demons.

So yeah. Thought we could bring in some of those "other evils" too. 'Course, we'd have to get bounties stuck on us first. *shifty eyes*

That'd be sweet. I've been looking for a chance to make Acantha fight. She's a lot less squeamish about it than Aeria.

Thing is, what are the mercenaries after? Were they hired by the SC to get rid of the rebels? Were they instructed to check out the tavern bacause the SC suspect Raven of being up to something? Or did the SC simply get tired of getting their butts kicked and so got someone else to do the dirty work? What's their incentive? (Geez, I ask a lot of quesions...)

Let's just say that they were suspecting Raven of something non-SC related and it didn't sit well with them.
The mercenaries were sent out and our paths crossed.
