"My brain hurts. I played plenty of RPGs and I've been to Glitch City on Pokemon Red/Blue, but this still doesn't make sense..."

"Look, the virus didn't only get characters from other games, it got the plot ideas. That means the plot's gonna be changing from time to time, and to get out of here we'll have to finish all of them."

"I still don't really get it, but who cares, we should be fighting! And I don't think there's any rule that says only three people can fight at once... but what do I know, I'm just the Comic relief."

((And one thing that's been bugging me- Silver wouldn't say what the h-e-l-l, he'd say what the Fudge Crackers since that's his trademark word(s)))

"Yeah, someone attack before I'm forced to start the battle!" *Gets bow and arrow ready, Toshi sitting beside him*

"Okay. Let's do this."

"I'm first!"

*Josiah runs up to Seymour and swings his blade. Seymour dodges.*

"Crap! I missed."

*Seymour counterattacks with Life Shaver and brings Josiah's "hit points" down to one.*

"I'm next."

*Jeff repeats what Josiah did and he gets the same result. Again Seymour uses LifeShaver.*

"ngh..."

*All of a sudden Silver's wrist begins to glow. His body is taken over by a mysterious being.*

"Henshin-a-go-go baby!"

"Please tell me I didn't just hear that."

"What?"

"It seems that Final Fantasy data isn't the only thing floating around here. Some data from the game V..."

"That's right it's me, Viewtiful Joe!"

"Who the hell are you?"

"What's the matter? :P Afraid your going to lose?"

"Why you insignificant little..."

"Let's go!"

*Joe slows down time and pulls out Silver's bow. He attaches five arrows to the bow and fires. Seymour attempts to put up a shield but he couldn't do it in time. The arrows pierce his right arm rendering it completely useless. Next he aims for the right leg and then the left. Before he could hit the left arm his V-Power runs out. With time not slowed down anymore, Seymour heads towards Josiah. Right before making contact, Joe slows down time again and Josiah jumps out of the way. Jeff shoves his sword through Seymour's chest. Jeff pulls his bloodied sword out and Seymour disintigrates into nothingness. Jeff and Josiah lay down out of exhaustion. Joe removes himself from Silver and he (silver) regains conciousness.*

"Ugh. What the fudge crackers happened."

"God damn that hurts!"

"Your telling me."

"So is anyone going to fill me in."

"Yes I can explain it. It seems that some Viewtiful Joe data was floating around here. Sensing that we were in trouble you somehow channeled this data and merged with Joe himself. You gained the ability to slow down time."

"It would seem that there are still things I can learn from you and this world."

"Yeah well I hope you learn how to carry a two-hundred pound man because I know I can't move on my own. Does anybody have a potion or something?"

"Okay I'm back."

"Just in time too. Here you go guys."

*She hands them each an X-Potion.*

"So you sent him to get find some items."

"Actually I battle random monsters and they dropped items. But I guess it's the same thing."

"In any case, I hope we don't have to fight anybody that tough again. Getting hit really hurts."

"Unless we fight Sin itself, I doubt that we'll have to worry about such a powerful enemy."

"Well that's a relief."

"If that wasn't the wierdest thing that ever happened in my life I don't know what was. I thought people from other games got transfered here, not they could fuse with people already here!"

"Well I guess they can."

"But what happens if an evil character from another game posseses one of us?"

"I wouldn't worry about that. Viewtiful Joe came when we needed him and we'll never need an evil character so we shouldn't have to worry."

"You've got a point... wait, are you saying you don't think I could have handled him on my own?"

"Like you said, you're the comic relief. You wouldn't stand a chance!"

"I bet I could beat you!"

"Stop fighting, let's just get going already!"

"Now that I think about it, I bet you're the only one who can do that."

"What do you mean?"

"Well think about it. I bet in certain situations we each have a special ability we can use. Shuani has the ability to alter the world, Josiah has the ability to fuse with his monsters, I have the ability to sense game data, and you must have the ability to fuse yourself with stray data streams. I'll bet David will get some ability in the future."

"That does make sense, actually."

"I'm not stupid you know. I do know what I'm talking about from time to time." <_<

"And here I thought this world couldn't get any weirder..." *Josiah groaned, he was beggining to get a headache again.* "Look guys," *they headed back towards the inn,* "mismatched data or not, this is still primarily a monster game so chances are that system will still be used throughout, at least as a fall back. Considering the risks, we should probably continue to battle with our monsters whenever possible. I've played tons of RPGs but here we have no clue what our stats or abilities are or even our HP. Physical fighting could get really risky. For all we know this game may have even pulled some info from a game like Front Mission. In games like that the actualy human characters can get slaughtered by even the weakest attacks. Until we figure this out we need to be very careful."

"Wait," *Jeff interupted,* "if the designer is trying to return this game to it's planned form that would explain why all the areas we've visited so far have played by more or less the same rules. This place is probably an anomoly that has yet to be repaired."

"But couldn't that make staying here dangerous? What will happen is the game suddenly decides it needs to purge all the data in this area?"

"You know what, I'm not so tired anymore. Let's find out where the Labryinth Caves are and get outta this village."

*The others quickly agreed. Now all they needed were directions.*

Raystar - 2/3 - Light --> Shine, Sparkling Beam, Ray Striker, Light Power, Ultra Nova
Night Flame - 2/3 - Fire/Dark --> High Temp, Vicious Bite, Claws of Fire

"Unlike Silver I can accept the truth piecefully- I AM a secondary character! Lucky..."

"You'll figure out what you can do later, Dave. Remember- French and Fries!"

"Well, let's get going. Just because Mr.Comic relief has powers now doesn't give us an excuse to stall!"

*After about an hour of searching the group found an NPC who could give them directions to the Labyrinth Caves. The left quickly, not wanting to hang around the glitch filled town. After another hour of walking they reached the entrance to the caves and headed inside. Raystar lit things up with Shine and they began to explore. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before everyone was hopelessly lost. There were hundreds of passageways and tunnels and leading in different directions. Since the chosen was supposed to be at the bottom they tried to head down but it didn't always work out that way. They were so intent on arguing about which way to go that they never even noticed all the glowing eyes behind them...*

"Hey guys, do you hear something?"

"I don't think..." *Josiah turned around.* "Uh oh..."

"They're giving off a red glow. Get out your weapons and your strongest monsters."

*Out of the shadows several chibi-monsters appear.*

"That's it. I was worried it would be something tough."

"I bet their along the lines of tonberrys. They don't look tough but they are."

"Well whatever they are, they're coming this way!"

*In the distance, a large vampiric warrior watches the battle intently.*

"Go Toshi! Extreme Flame!" *Toshi flamed them all but only the water type seemed to take damage, and not much*

"Go Bubble! Tsunami!" *Only the ground type takes damage*

"Go Electricutz! Electricuter!" *Only the Ice type takes damage*

"I knew they would be stronger than they looked!"

"It's like Shedinja from Pokemon, only super effective attacks hit them!"

"Well then let's try this."

*Jeff takes his sword and swings it at the chibi-skeleton. The skeleton is reduce to rubble.*

"We should probably have a balance of monsters and weapons."

"I want a chance this time!"

"Okay. Toshi use Flame Wing!"

"Tech Golem use Nature's Fury!"

"Electricutz use Electric Heaven!"

*The three attacks distract several monsters long enough for Jeff and Shauni to land a couple of fatal hits.*

"Only one left."

*A flash of light comes hurdling towards the monster and destroys it.*

"What the fudge crackers?"

"Hmm hmm ha ha ha! Well done. I didn't expect you to figure out how do defeat them. Well, no matter. You'll never get past me anyway. HAVE AT YOU!"

"Castlevania!"

"What?"

"It's Dracula from Castlevania. Hey Silver, see if you can find some Belmont data floating around. It'd really be a big help. Everyone else, draw your weapons!"

"You don't know what that is, do you..."

"Not exactly... not at all."

"We're doomed."

"Take this!"

*Dracula lifts up his cape and releases three small fireballs towards the group.*

"Forget the data Silver! We need you..."

*One of the fireballs connects with Jeff, damaging him slightly. Josiah and David dodge the others. Josiah rushes to strike Dracula; but at the last second he dissappears.*

"What the..."

"We need to hit him as he's performing an attack. Who's going to do it?"

"I will."

"Okay. We'll need to keep Dracula away from David. Make him focus his attacks on us."

"DIE!!!"

*Dracula sends two large meteors towards Jeff, Shauni, and Josiah. David leaps up from behind Dracula and prepares to attack. Dracula senses this and backhands David. The impact sends David crashing into the wall and knocks him out.*

"ngh..."

"Damn!"

"Your plan seems to have failed."

"Or has it?"

"What does that mean?"

"It means this is where you die!"

"NOOOOOOOO!"

*From behind Dracula, Josiah swings his sword and beheads Dracula.*

"Wow that worked better than I expected."

"Good job bubble."

"His morphing ability is amazing. That looked just like David."

"Well I wasn't going to use one of you guys. I knew he would get you. I just feel bad for bubble."

*Bubble glomps Jeff.*

"I think he forgives you. Where do we go from here though?"

"Well... I highly doubt that was the chosen so... That way!" *points*

"No, we came from that way. We go that way!" *points in opposite direction*

"Well we obviously made a wrong turn so we should go back where we came from, which is that way!" *points in same direction as Silver*

"I'm thinking we're lost"
