((You know Silver, you could always give yourself more plot significance. Figure out the reason there's still dark shrines or something...))

"Virgo, fly above it!" *Virgo took to the air, avoiding the blast. Josiah used his pendent, teleporting next to her, and caught her hand.* "You're kinda heavy you know." *Virgo joked as the two of them hovered there.*

"Hey, I'll let go as soon as that attack is finished. Besides, I've seen how much you can lift. Anyway, long as we're up here we might as well do some damage while he's busy attacking. Use Shadows of Heaven!"

(we did mention in ROM 3 the dark shrines still existed after the world returned to normal, but we thought we'd gotten rid of all of them in the two years between ROM 3 and 4, it was stated that's what Shauni was doing that whole time, destroying shrines and playing with her powers and unlocking bad mojo. Just thought I'd mention it)

Shauni was still confused and was only half heatedly watching the battle at this point

*I thought I'd got the last of the dark shrines in the forgotten Calm Lands north of Onett...the data there was so corrupt I had to use stray data from the area to stabilise it before I could set in...but I never even sensed this last one...and what was it doing in Cap-cannon anyway? Did hellions influence reach this far? Or was it Moen or Bowen? Maybe this Shadow of Soul has discovered how to make Dark Shrines from Hellion....it would be terrible if that were the case...he could cast this world back into the shadow realm...and all the enemies we have faced would be revived again...*

Neo and his monster manage to somehow avoid the blast themselfs. Neo tried to think of what to do next.

"Chaos Necromancer use Hyper Cannon on that attack!" The plan worked and the 2 attacks canceled eachother out. At that time Neo attack. "Use Hyper Beam!" Kuiia launched a massive beam of energy at Chaos Necromancer hitting it dead on. With it's massive size it was fairly easy to hit but it's Mighty Guard nullified alot of the damage. Still it did abit due to Kuiia being a God Monster.

"Now use Chaos End again!" Again it charged up energy.

"Shadows of Heaven!" shouted Josiah who had jumped down from Virgo.

But as soon as Shadows Heaven started the energy released came too quicky for one to think and both Neo and Josiah were thrown back into the barrior and so was Virgo and Kuiia.

"What just happened?" asked Neo.

"Intresting you should ask. What happened was this spell card. Speed Attack. It speeds up the current attack of a monster you use it on. So the wave of energy released was speed up greatly. And it's effect remains for the next attack as well. So here it is. Hyper Cannon!"

*Josiah teleported as soon as Zanther ordered the attack. Virgo was still casting Shadows of Heaven so she was unable to catch him but, because of the effects of Zanther's card, by the time Josiah hit the ground the Hyper Cannon was already finished. In the mean time, Shadows of Heaven was scoring a multitude of hits against the mostly stationary Chaos Necromancer. Unfortunately, the Mighty Guard was drastically reducing the damage.*

"Tch, that barrier is really starting to bug me." *Josiah watched as Shadows of Heaven ended.* "Neo, let's attack together!" *Although he wasn't sure where his friend was at the moment, Josiah was sure that he had survived the Hyper Cannon one way or another.* "Virgo, try Mecha Overdrive!"

*Meanwhile, at Silver's group.*

"If it makes you feel any better, you've got a lot more plot significance than I do right now." *David commented as they continued through the forest.* "Besides, now that you're temporary leader who knows what could happen?"

"Hey, I think I see the shrine!" *Jeff interrupted, pointing to a small clearing just up ahead.

Though Neo wasn't able to get out of the way for the Hyper Cannon, Kuiia protected him with it'self taking on the damage. "Ok, time for something new."

"Virgo, try Mecha Overdrive!", Neo heard from Josiah.

"Use Dragon Combo!" shouted Neo. Kuiia begain to lauch every breath weapon that a dragon could learn aginst Chaos Necormancer. Fire, ice, lighting, acid, ect came one right after another twords the monster. Out of the bunch it seemed the acid actually affected it. "Well well, I found a crack in it's defence."

And this didn't go unnoticed by Zanther either. While it was being bombarded by both attacks Zanther also noticed that Virgo couldn't move durring her attack. "Use Assissinate on Virgo!" A beam of energy shout out twords Virgo.

((I'll try to end this battle tomorrow. I'll let you chose if the attack hits Virgo but if you do let it hit I have a rather intresting ending to this. After all would be fitting for Neo to finish off Zanther :) ))

As the group entered into the clearing they could see 2 Necormancer's standing by the entrence along with a little girl standing with them. Though she looked like Mahri she was really Narhi.

Necromancer- Dark/Shadow--> 3/3
Attacks:

Instakill- low hit but ko's target if successful
Shadow Ruin- massive area damage
Assassinate- Leaves target greatly weakened
Mighty Guard- Reduces user's damage from attacks by 75%
Dark Shadow- reduces visability. User can still see.

The thing about them is that though they may be 3/3 the have the stats and stuff of 4/3 as they are one of the strongest monsters in ROM that have been sealed up in the forest.

*Virgo took the hit and nearly fell but managed to recover at the last second.*

"Quick, over here." *Josiah used his ability to communicate telepathically with his monsters.*

*Virgo instantly appeared at his side.* "Sorry, I should have seen that coming."

"It's not your fault. If it wasn't for that barrier he'd never have been able to get an attack off while taking all those hits. But enough about that. It'll take Zanther a minute to figure out where we are. Hurry and use Angel's Restoration to heal yourself."

"Got it."

Neo saw Virgo get struck by the attack and along with what else had been happening just made Neo all the more angrey, even in his current state.

"I will no longer be controlled. Get out of me Zanther!"

"Now now, where would the fun in that be? I need to be in you in order to controll you. You should know that. And once I've defeated you, you will be mine. You remember that dream of yours? Well it will no longer be a dream. Virgo is almost defeated and I know she will try to protect Josiah just like the image in your dream. Then I'll kill the rest and release Tsuekasa. Dreams can be very real. You'll never escape your destinay!"

All this just made Neo even more angrey. Being used just like a pupet should happen to noone. Neo's rage begain to build.

"Yes let your hatred and anger grow. For as it grows I too grow. So keep it up for I shall be even greater then Bowen himself. I shall carry out his plan and wipe this place from existance. Then after I'll do what Hellion failed to do and escape from this place and live in your world. Then I shall take it over and rule for the rest of it's existance. For you see I along with every person in this world was never programed to die of old age. And I'll carry that ability with me. So you see, give in to fate."

"I will never give in. I will defeat you. No matter what it takes. NOW GET OUT OF ME!" Then something unexpected happened. Though his rage Neo was suddenly able to controll it. And controlled it he did.

"What? What are you doing?"

"Getting you out." replied Neo. Then Neo reaced deep down and expelled the darkness of Zanther out. But the energy had to go somewhere and Neo directed it to Kuiia. "NOW, Kuiia Hyper Beam!"

Kuiia opened it's mouth and a termendius amout of enery begain to build.

"Chaos Necromancer use Hyper Cannon!" comanded Zanther. The 2 releaced at the same time colliding with eachother. At first they looked even but then Chaos Necromancer's beam begain to waver and then was overcomed with Kuiia's attack. The barrior around Chaos Necromancer was destroyed and it took full brunt of the attack.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! This can't be happening. How could you do that. I made sure special abilities couldn't be used. Unless...." but Zanther never got to finish for the barrior around them conpacted and Zanther was transformed into a card. Chaos Necromancer returned to it's card inside the Dark Shrine. The barrior around Tsuekasa vanished and she was releaced. Neo and her imbraced for the longest time they ever had.

Then Neo said something he said he would never say. "Tsuekasa, will you marry me?"

"Oh Neo, I had been waiting for you to say that for years."

"Yes I know but I felt if I got too attached to this world and was able to go back to mine I would have to leave you. I've always liked you from the day I arrived. Now I'll never leave you. If the chance to go home comes up and you can't come with me, then I'm staying."

Then Neo noticed a card on the ground with Zanther on the picture. The picture was not a happy looking one.

*Meanwhile, Josiah and Virgo were standing off to the side.*

"Umm... Did I just see what I thought I saw?" *Josiah blinked, caught off guard by both Zanther's sudden defeat and Neo's proposal.*

"I think so..." *Virgo murmured, looking equally stunned.*

"Well, we should probably leave them alone for a while..."

"Yeah... Want to go look for Silver and the others?"

"Sounds good." *The two of them quietly crept off into the forest.*

((Guess Neo's going to be staying at D-Edge for a while. Which works out pretty well with the real Neo being gone for a while.))

"Well, I have a feeling buring or destroying the card in any way would be bad idea. Considering how strong Zanther still is he probrobably could find a way to escape. I almost think it would be a good idea to place him near or like we did with Bowen so he could never escape and cause harm ever again. You should probably go help the others. Tsuekasa and I have things to talk about for awhile. We'll still be here. And I think we can handle anthing that may show up."

Narhi spoke, "So you wish to enter? You'll have to get past us. Then I and Mahri can murge and free our master."

((*stretches his wings* After a vacation in Narnia, it feels good to be back. Whoa, there! What is this?))

"Fiend child! Let them pass!" Simeon roared from above. He had been silent for the whole of the journey deep into the Dark Wood as he was flying to watch for dangers that could pass undetected to the raiding party Silver and Jeff led. The lionesque Guardian Father landed with a regal posture, both his tails flicking in distaste. "How dare the dark ones try to copy the soul of a child with the blood of a deity! For this outrage and defilement of holy flesh, I shall SLAY this demonic blasphemy where she stands!"

Nahri's eyes glowed an un-earthly red as the environment around her and Simeon shifted into a dark and sinister arena, the very air and earth turning black and whirling about in a whipping fury.

"This blasphemy shall be the end of you, Guardian Father."

"If it is to be, then I fear you not." Simeon threw aside his summmoning spear and drew his sacred sword, "But I know my time has yet to arrive, fiend. This day, this dark wood will finally be purified..."

((Oh, the LAST thing we need is someone else trying to give themself more plot significance. This is hectic enough as it is with Neo doing his thing and Shauni doing her thing at the same time. Although I suppose Neo's done now...))

"So I guess we'll just... let them do their thing..." Silver mumbled, staring at Simeon and Nahri who were doing something weird.

"Let's just get rid of the evil things for now."

"Strongest monsters in Orca my eye!" Silver shouted as the first of the Necromancers went down after briefly battling with Arco Iris. It kept trying to use Instakill - on account of that was like the only attack that did damage - but Arco Iris was faster and it never hit. A few Colors of the Winds and Sky's Limits later it was dead.

David and Opal teamed up on the other - which also did nothing but the incredibly inaccurate Instakill - and nothing can stand up to a volley of 00ber overpowered attacks.

"Actually they weren't all that strong." *Opal was quick to point out.*

"Well, they might have been but they just kept using one attack and it kept missing. For all we know they could have been really strong but really stupid. But that doesn't really matter. Where's Neo and Tsukasa? You did win, right?"

"Yeah we won. I'll explain it all later. Who is Simeon fighting?"
