"I did take some kendo lessons back home so I'll take this katana." *Josiah picked up his new weapon and tried a few practice swing.*

"Excellent. Now please come this way to the power orb room." *Amhal led them down another hall.* "Level 10 orbs are extremely rare. I'd give you more if I had them but I'm afraid you'll each have to settle for one."

*They reached the room. Josiah went first and took the E10 orb for Electricutz. That left a W10, I10, G10, and F10 for the others to choose from.*

Current Monsters:
Electricutz - 3/3 - Electric --> Multi Striker, Voltage, Electric Speed, Electric Heaven, Electricuter
Night Wing - 3/3 - Dark/Wind --> Shadow Bind, Shadow Shroud, Dark Strike, Dark Aura, Hurricane Gale
Mogal - 2/3 - Ground --> Root Strike, Leaf Rain, Upheaval, Rock Crusher, Quaker
Raystar - 2/3 - Light --> Shine, Sparkling Beam, Ray Striker, Light Power, Ultra Nova
Night Flame - 2/3 - Fire/Dark --> High Temp, Vicious Bite, Claws of Fire

"Toshi already has a level 10 attack, Flame wing... so I'll teach Ommie an Ice move. Ommie learned Ice Explosion!"

"Are we all set then?"
"Unless Amhal has anything else left for us, I think we're ready to head out."
"Trying to get more gifts out of me, Josiah?"
"Huh? No that's not it at all."
"Relax, I was just kidding."
"Now that Amhal is all done hassling Josiah, let's head out."
"I'll be out in a minute."
*The others head out of the palace.*
"Amhal... Thank you, friend."
"Never forget. Use your powers only for good."
"You knew about my dream all along didn't you."
"I wouldn't be a very good seer if I didn't would I?"
"I guess not. Well anyway, thank you for your help."
"Well it is my role in this game is it not? Before you say anything, let me repeat. I wouldn't be a very good seer if I didn't know, would I?"
"You are truly amazing."
"Oh before I forget. Here's the map."
"Goodbye, my friend."
"Goodbye, brave hero."

END OF CHAPTER 4

CHAPTER 5: NEW HOPE, NEW PROBLEMS
*Jeff rejoins his friends and they consult the map. The head west, towards the town of clirg. On their way they must pass through the Fire Swamp. Within this swamp lay the three deadly enemies. The sand pits, the fire jets, and the giant rats.*

((Super-cool bonus points to anyone who knows where the Fire Swamp comes from.))

They entered the Fire Swamp, everyone but Silver cautiously.

"Come on guys, I've got Ommie and Toshi right here, no fire jet or sand pit can stop us!"

"It's not that, look behind you..."

*Turns around to see a rat bigger than him* "Well... that does present a problem. I'm gonna be calm about this so it doesn't attack... TOSHI!!! SAVE ME!!!" *Runs* *Toshi uses Flame Wing to send it flying back, then it runs off*

"You got lucky there, they normally travel in packs!"

"But they are counted as fire-typed monsters, maybe next time we should catch one."

"We better keep our guard up."
"This thick brush is nothing compared to the awsome might of my claymore!"
"Now I understand what he meant by us not relying on our monsters."
"Yeah if we tried to burn them down we'd get burnt ourselves or worse the smoke could suffocate us."
"Jeff seems to be enjoying his sword a little too much."
"Yeah when I said keep our guard up I didn't mean just because we're in the Fire Swamp. Jeff is a bit overzealous."
"Oh come on guys. I'm not that careless. You don't need to worry about being hacked up. <_< "
"Yeah yeah yeah. Whatever you say, Jeff! ^_^ "
"It looks like we're coming up to a clearing. We should stop and rest for a bit."
"Yeah I'm getting... WHOAH!!!"
"Don't move, David! The more you move the faster you'll sink. Somebody get something for him to grab on to."
"I'll use my staff."
*David grabs hold of Shauni's staff. Shauni and Silver are pulling on the staff.*
"We need more strength over here. Help us out."
"Heave!"
*The eventually get David out of the quicksand.*
"I guess we're not stopping there then." <_< 
"That's the second time our weapons have helped us out."
"We should go around."
"I have a better idea. Bubble freeze the sand with hyper blizzard."
"That was very resourceful of you."
"We don't have much time let's go quickly."
*The quickly cross the frozen sand. In the distance they can see an open field.*
"We're almost out of this hellish place."
"Thank you Captain Obvious." <_< 
"Thank YOU Captain Sincerity." <_< 
"Knock it off you two. I swear you act like little kids."
"Ha ha ha!"
"Ha ha ha!"
"Oh before I forget. Since I don't have any ground monsters I should give this to you, David."
*She hands over the G10 orb.*
"Thanks! Hmm... Tech Golem learned Nature's Fury."
"Hey! What about me?"
"Come on Josiah. First of all you have more monsters and secondly you've spent more time with your monsters. David's only had three monsters for a short while."
"Yeah. You're right. Sorry."
*They reach the exit of the swamp. All they can see in front of them is plains. No trees no buildings, nothing.*
 8-0 "Holy crap! After all that now we have to cross this huge plain."
"Let's just rest here for the night."
*The retire for the night.*

"What's wrong Fiona? You seem down."
"It's just... I'm sorry David. There was nothing I could do. I'm moving tomorrow."
"What? You can't leave."
"I'm sorry, my parents are being moved, something doing with better jobs. I'd stay if I could."
"I... Fiona I love you. I don't want you to go."
"I love you too, David. I don't want to leave, but there's nothing I can do."
*They kissed again, hugging each other as long as they could.*

*David woke up in the middle of night.*
"That was not me! I couldn't have been. Damn it!"

*The next morning David seemed more distant than usual..*

"Hey David, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just had a bad dream that's all."
 :huh: "If you say so. Well time to head out to the vast plains."
*They spend the next two hours fighting random monsters and collecting mon. Then all of a sudden the spot an old man resting on a hill. Josiah drops to one knee and grabs his head. A vision flashes in front of him*
"Arrrrggghhh!"

"I'm dying." *An old man spoke slowly from his bed as Josiah watched, filled with sadness.* "You are the last of our tribe... Our bond with our monsters lets us do something no others can. Always remember who you are and always use your power for good. Remember, you are the last..."

"Wait don't go! You can't die!!!"

"Josiah!"
"I've seen this man before. In my dreams I have seen him."
"So it is you."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Amhal has forseen your arrival. He said you would help my village. You see... all of our water has evaporated. The sun has been shining non stop for two weeks now. Our tribe is dying. Please, you must help us. I beg of you."
"This reeks of the chosen. We should be on our guard."
"Well since you already dispatched the fire chosen it must be the light chosen, right?"
"Good thinking David. We should use as many ice monsters as possible."
"Please, come this way."
*They follow him for 2 more hours. In the distance they can see a small village.*
"Our village is just up ahead."
"Let's hurry."
*Jeff stops unbeknownst to anybody else.*
"Wait just a moment..." "I have to destroy you. Go Argonne..."
"Bubble use hyper blizzard!!!"
*The blast of ice significantly weakens argonne.*
"Do you take me for a fool? Did you actually think I'd believe that you talked to Amhal. He would have mentioned you before we left. I knew all along."
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"I wanted to catch him off guard and it worked."
"Grrr... Well that's not the only surprise I have in store."
*From behind Jeff, the chosen smashes him with his staff. Jeff is knocked out.*
*Simultaneously everybody yells, "Jeff!"*
"Did I neglect to tell you that was an illusion?"
"Everyone prepare your weapons and send out your strongest monsters. Okay let's go!"
"Go Solar Complex!!!" (Moves - Solar Eclipse, Sunspot, Full Noon, Corona)

"Go Toshi and Ommie! Flame Wing and Ice Explosion!"

"Electricutz, Electricuter!"

The three attacks hit, but the only one that seemed to affect it at all was Ice Explosion

Silver fired an arrow at it that Toshi lit on fire. It hit the monster right in the head, giving the others a chance to attack...

"Nature's Fury!"

"Ice Explosion again!"

By now Solar Complex was starting to get weak... so the chosen took action. "Solar Eclipse!" This attack wiped out all monsters on the field, except one...

"Toshi, Flame Wing!"

"Why is his monster still up? Tech Golem doesn't have any disadvantage either!"

((Because it could shield itself and it had the most experience against Light types, as far as I know))
