"Well whatever it was it's long gone. We might as well keep going."
"...help me..."
"Holy fudge crackers! What was that?"
"...help me..."
"Where is it coming from?"
"I don't know."
"...help me..."
*Jeff turns around and sees 2 ghosts. One is a mother and the other is a child.*
"Behind you!"
"...help me..."
"Oh dear. What happened here."
"We were murdered for not following the others."
"The others?"
"Yes. We belonged to a peaceful village. But one day..."

*FLASHBACK*
"Follow us to freedom! There is no other way!"
"Why should we listen to you?"
"This woman speaks herasy. She denounces god in all his glory. She must be a demon. I beg of thee, destroy her. Purge this land of evil!"
"Must... destroy... evil... Must... destroy... evil..."
*END FLASHBACK*

"We fled to this shack but the found us and burned the shack to the ground. I beg of you avenge us. Find the man and purge HIS heart of evil... please..."
*The ghosts dissappear.*
"What was that?"
"Josiah you know what this means right?"
"You better believe it, Jeff. You ready Silver?"
"Oh I'm ready. Ready for the..."
"SIDEQUEST!"
"What's a sidequest?"
"It's another part of the game. Destroying the 'chosen' is probably the main quest; but this is something else we can do for some extra experience. Thus it makes it a sidequest."
"That kind of makes sense."
"Well in any case we should look for this 'cult' and finish this so we can continue our 'Main Quest'."
"I can see some smoke over by the mountain there. Perhaps we'll find what we're looking for there."
"Well we'll never find out just standing here and talking. Let's go!"
*The three of them (Josiah, Silver, and Jeff) start singing. ^_^ "Unlikely heroes out for adventure!"*

*The group hurried towards the smoke which seems to be coming from the center of a small village.* "A house is on fire!" *Josiah is the first to spot it.*

"Help!" *A terrified woman screamed.* "My son is still inside!"

"We have to help that boy!" *Shauni called to the others.*

"Right!!" *Jeff and Silver sent out their water monsters and immediatly attacked the blaze.*

"Night Flame!" *Josiah summoned a monster of his own, figuring a fire type shouldn't be harmed by the flames.* "Go in that house and save the kid!" *It nodded and bounded inside.*

"Halt!" *A commanding voice rang out as a tall heavily muscled man strode forward.* "How dare you interfere! The evil people who live in that house deserve to burn! If you continue trying to help them than you too must be evil and all evil must be destroyed!"

"Must... Destroy... Evil..." *The other villagers began to chant and surrounded the small group.*

Current Monsters:
Electricutz - 3/3 - Electric --> Flash Tackle, Multi Striker, Voltage, Electric Speed, Electric Heaven
Shadow Wing - 2/3 - Dark --> Shadow Bind, Night Ray, Shadow Shroud, Dark Strike, Dark Aura
Mogal - 2/3 - Ground --> Root Strike, Leaf Rain, Upheaval, Rock Crusher, Quaker
Raystar - 2/3 - Light --> Shine, Sparkling Beam, Ray Striker, Light Power, Ultra Nova
Night Flame - 2/3 - Fire/Dark --> High Temp, Vicious Bite, Claws of Fire

"Kojyo, Flower Power!" *Kojyo's petals released a powder with a Powerful odor* "Looks like it's a paralysis move, perfect!" *crowd stops moving* "Heh, got a problem with evil do ya?"

"Use Ray Striker!"
"Use Holy Crush!"
*The two simultaneous attacks cross paths. "COMBO ATTACK: HOLY STRIKER!"*
*A small wizard appears and makes a massive beam of light erupt through the ground. Ten of the "cult members" are obliterated.*

"A combo attack is a very rare thing to see."
"Well done all of you! I'm sure by now you know that I'm the darkness chosen. You'll find that my real monsters are so pathetically weak like these "cult mebers" are."
"You turned these people into monsters?"
"You dirty son of a b-"
"Didn't your mother teach you any manners? Well let's get the show on the road. Go my minions."
*He sends out 4 monsters. Lich (Dark/Ground), Kary (Dark/Fire), Kraken (Dark/Water), and Timiat (Dark/Wind).*
"Some Final Fantasy I data must have gotten into this game. Stay on your guard everyone, these guys aren't going to be as easy as the others. Shauni take on Lich with Omega. Silver take on Kary with Hueno. David take on Kraken with Ragnor. Josiah take on Timiat with Mogal. I'm aiming for the fifth monster."
"What fifth monster?"
"The dark chosen must be none other than... CHAOS!"
"Well played you fool! I was going to go easy on you but you had to go and anger me. Fine... HAVE AT YOU!"
"GO! DRAKONNE!!!"
*The battle begins.*

shauni remebered battling Lichs in FF, she ordered a Tidal wave, followed by a Water Blat, the Lich went down easy

Shauni then sent out Mutation Leo

"Leo! Detry them!" she yelled

Yomico suddenly ran into the fray, withdrew a dagger she had carried and ran towards Chaos

"What are you doing??" yelled Josiah "You will be killed!"

Yomico showted back as she chargerd "My name is not Yomico, Its Rikku!"
"Rikku??" yelled Shauni "Rikku wait! This isnt FF! The rules are different!"

Rikku ran at Chaos but he quikly noked her back, she went gliding along the floor and hit shauni, making them both fall over

Shauni looked at Rikku, she was bleeding very heaverly from her head
"Yomico...." she wispered
Rikku shuck her head "I'm Rikku...my data...was...mutated....to this weak woman...I have failed"
Shauni began to hug Rikku, but her body fell limp in her arms
"Yomico....." she quested
She pulled Rikku away, her eyes were cold and her body lifles.....

"No...." wisperd Jeff
"Is she..." followed Silver
Josiah looked away "Yes....shes dead..."
Shauni placed the lifless Rikku to the ground. Suddenly the area around her began to pulse....its moved at her wim

"AHHHHHH!" she yelled as the air around her caught fire
"You will die!" she yelled

She produced a fire ball from the space around her, an inferno blazed a bright blood red and shocking yellew

All the monster cards became engulfed by the flame
Shaunis eyes tured crimson
"What is this?....Is this my power...of hellfire?"
Chaos winched "YOU! You are hellfire! You brought me here! Now you die witch!" he yelled

He struck shauni with his dark powers but shauni was unfased
"I know now what i can do....And now I will KILL you!" shauni suddenly disappred into the flames and the fire took the shape of a human female, it grew and moned and then struck Chaos

The fire died out, leaving shauni, unharded, lying on the floor, the rest of the villagers to there normal selfs, and all the fires extinguised, Choas and his monsters...nohting but ash that belw away in the wind.

Shauni pulled herself up, her legs not working for some reason, she clawed over to Rikku who was now in her true form, as she was in FF10. She lent over the body and cried

The others were slient....

"Well... That was... interesting..." Silver mumbled, looking over at Shauni and Yomico/Rikku.

"Do you think we should have a funeral?"

"I don't know if that would be a good idea..."

shau jumped up
"Yes. We should have a funeral. I have know her for 4 years...its only right we berry her."

A few days past as they all stayed at the village, the gang helped them rebuild while shauni arranged the funarl. 3 days after she had died, Rikku was bured in a small graveyard, her timb under a beautiful willow tree, after the service the others got ready to leave, shauni remained at the grave alwhile, and said her silent goodbuys

"Uh... maybe we should give her a little longer... I don't want to bring up the subject of Yuki."

Shauni held Rikkus monster in her arms at the side of her grave "you were so much more than an NPC to me...you where family..."
she placed the monster on the grave
"Go free. No one will wheld you."
The monster looked at shauni, and did as it was told, disappreding into the woods

"I will avange Yomico. I will distry all of these guardian things, if its the last thing I do"

She rejoined the group, all of whome didnt know what to say....

"Whats that supposed to mean" asked Silver
Shauni tured to Silver "The wind guardian thing is next. he awaits usin a vally somewhere"

"How can you possibly know tha.." went on Josiah
Jeff interupted "He is there. I feel it to. Dont forget that shauni is more appart of this game than even David"

Shauni addded the last words "It is my carma. This world now is my very soul...."

CHAPTER 4: THE HARDEST ROAD

The trunddled on down the road, the wind blasting them hard and powerful as they contuied up the endless mountain

"We must be close!" yelled Jeff "The wind is so powerful"

shauni pused forward, her heart fulied by anger "I must..keep going...I will reclaim this world as mine!"

The finaly made it up the path and looked down apond a vally
"He is down there!" yelled shauni
"I will kill him with my own hands!" she began to run down the hill against the wind, pushing forward, as if finsihing the road was her only perpuse

The others struggled to keep up

"shes gone made!" yelled Silver

"We have to keep up with her! She could hurt herself!" yelled Jeff

"Our us!" follwed Daivd

"YOU THINK I WANT TO SEE YOU DIE? YOU BROUGHT ME HERE! IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU I WOULDN'T HAVE MET ANY OF THESE GUYS! LET ME HELP YOU! SEARCH YOUR FEELINGS! YOU KNOW I CAN DO IT!"

((Okay so here's the plan. Shauni and I are going after the guardians of the mountain. The rest of you are going on to the next town. We'll meet up later.))
