ROM 4: New Horizons

((Cap-cannon isn't warer of the world being fake, well, some people are, but not all of them. The story ivy told is the Cap-cannon version of a few legends that we have actualy seen.

"Ancient texts foretell the second coming of 'The Priestess'. "The original Priestess fought over 800 years ago against a demon that had crossed the mystic barrier of Merry Creak. This barrier is a wall that surrounds the continent. No one really knows who made the barrier...all we know it that some how this demon managed to brake threw it. The demons name was Kassius and it devoured every living creature that it came into contact with. Everything seemed lost until the Priestess fell commanded the wild spirits of nature and formed 3 God Monsters named Manja, Kanma and Kuiia from wind, wood and water. The gods sealed Kassius in a Cursed Daggers, which she then cast into another dimension."

This legended does not refer to Gen Ren and Rikki Maru. They refer to another set of twin daggers called Kasumi and Tunstall. These daggers are what Shauni is looking for in relaitly. She seeks the Ivy Staff to purify the cursed daggers she has herself, then to brake them with Kasumi and Tunstal and relese the purified Mischief gods. The mischife gods can posses there host, Kasumi and Tunstall can not. The daggers only hold his power. Kassius appered in Cap-cannon from Orca 800 years ago, but i relalitly this event never happned. It was a part of the game world histroy that Sutra wrote. The Prietess is something else that I will revel later. lets just say she did exisit once.

After that She went around Cap-cannon for a few years, teaching whoever sought enlightenment...but then another evil rose from the Eastern Lands of your own continent, a Demon named Gastell. The Priestess could no fight. All she could do was use her own soul to stave the demon in a fragile slumber. According to legends the demon was bound at 'The gateway to the realm of god.' The Priestess spoke that once her strength had failed her in her fight against Gastell, she would return in mortal guise again, having lost everything that had made her who she was before...but she would be granted the gift to summon even stronger warriors using insight that only transcending threw Hell granted her.

Gastell is the Cap-cannon name for the Hellfire Virus that manaested in orca. The Priestess atced as a kind of 'Firewall', stopping the virus from completly getting into Realm of Monsters, but after the virus mutated, the firewall faild. The reseraction story is the reinselation of the firewall, i.e the prietess that will stop the virus for good. Summoning the warriors refers to calling real life people to Orca.

"The Priestess used her soul to create a shield around the sleeping Gastell. She maintained the shield until her strength gave out. Gastell is still in the fragile slumber, but he is at risk of being awakened by an outside force. Lady Vanderbolt seeks to capture a powerful demon for her cause, much like the way she has 'acquired' her deadly sins. She needs Gastekll if she's going to Ascend"

This is the firewall in action

"vandebolt believes if she has enough power, she can manifest herself into a higher plane of existence. That is what she strives for. She wants to appear in the world of the warriors...the world of our Gods."

She wants to become 'real'.

"That is her goal. You are a threat to her goals as you have the power to stop her. You may be fledglings now...but you are from the world of the gods. You have the power to warp the very fabric of this world."

The powers we have shown so far

"I only fought to gain vengance on those that have wronged me...I care nothing for Vandebolts ideals...I wake the darkness in your friend to fight her at her full power...but she overwellemd me. The form she holds now is the form of her dark heart"

(( Am I right in assuming that everyting Ivy told us is Cap-Cannon legend? Because things sounded much different in Orca. The daggers had two mischief gods, not one super demon... and there was an explanation for the 'barrier' at Merry Creek. ... also, did you really intend to mispell "Vanderbilt' into 'Vanderbolt'? ... ... and is one of the cast the carrier of the demon 'Lady Vander' needs? ... I hope I'm not ruining anything... ^^;; ))

Cap-cannon doesn't know where the barrior came from, or how long it has been there. The villans name is mispell Vanderbilt. Sorry about the typo, i wrote this in a rush.

"Neo, did you say something?" *Josiah glanced toward Neo who merely shook his head, looking rather confused. Making a mental note to keep a closer eye on his friend, Josiah turned to Jeff.*

"Hold it Jeff. I want to take out the head guy here as much as you do but think about this. We just got to this world and we're still learning its rules. Rushing right into the final boss fight might not be the best idea. For all we know the others six sins are there as well. Besides, we're going off information given by a boss and she's one of this Vanderbolt person's main servants. I don't know if we can trust her."

*Jeff was about to reply but they were interrupted as Silver flew past, fighting against two Death Gliders.*

Ivy frowned in disgust "I am no servant. I hate Vanderbilt as much as the next in this continent...but we bound together to defect a stronger...evil"

Ivy spotted the two Death Glider approaching the group and she tried to stand
"They where sent after me...not you...Vanderbilt doesn't want me to talk...hehe I guess that's already to late"

She made it to her feet but wobbled then fell back down again
"Ahh..."
She clutched her knee
"You may as well just leave me...I don't know anything else. I won't begrudge you people. I only want the winged abomination anyway"

"Somehow I don't think they are after you Ivy. Though they will probably attack us all regardless. I just have a felling that these are related to the other monster we had to fight. Something inside says that."

"To be honest, at the moment I don't care who sent them. They might even be wild for all we know. It doesn't really matter. Virgo, Jeff, Ibun, David, stay here and keep guarding Ivy. The rest of us will go help Silver." *Josiah summoned Midnight Wing and jumped on top of the large bird. A moment later they were airborn and heading towards Silver and the Death Gliders.*

Ivy glared at Virgo, Jeff, Ibun and David

"Hidden by the unseeing eyes of Humans and Gods alike, he lies in wait. His purpose unknown, but his goal evident. It is the choice of mortal man that he should succeed, or that he should fail. The greatest off all evil lies bound at The Gate of the Gods, staved in fragile slumber the the Priestess of the gods. The Other Worldly Maiden binds the fallen god for a time, but her strength will diminish and the barrier she holds will brake. Then upon the curse of the fallen god, she will be born again."

She lent back

"And Lo; the fallen god spoke onto the Priestess as she cast her conscious soul into the shield to bind him

"I curse you Priestess. I curse you from here to eternity. You will never ascend past this world. You shall be reborn time after time, each life will be as the last. You will never find happiness. You will forever be as lost as you are now, and love shall reject you."

The Priestess called back to the mockery of the god

"Once my strength has failed me I will return to mortal guise again, having lost everything that has made me who I am now...but I will be granted the gift to summon even stronger warriors from beyond the Gate of Gods using insight that only transcending threw Hell will grant me. When I return to the realm of mortal men, I will bring the gods wrath upon you as I have done before ."

The Priestess will be cast back into the guise of mortal flesh to begin the cycle again. She will summon holy warriors from beyond the Gate of Gods, and they will crush those that seek to awaken the fallen good, and destroy his ternary absolutely."

She then lay down completely
"You friend is that fallen god, and the Priestess will come again and save us from her. You may be safe retribution now...but the priestess will destry you all, and the evil that is vanderbilt"

Opal rode up on Roc Eagle to where Silver was.
"Alright, come on out Celebifly! Use Invincible leaf!" She ordered as Celebifly made vines tie up a Death Glider.
"Now, bright touch!" Celebifly zoomed in an used the close range attack.


The Death Glider roared in annoyance, ripping the vines and used Negablast on Celebifly

"Gah! Celebifly!" Roc Eagle flew down and Opal caught her monster.
"Now Roc Eagle, use chimook!"
The heat wave impacted onto the Death Glider.

"'The rest of us'? There's only two of 'em here... These guys ain't so tough! It's kinda hard to fight two on one, regardless of your opponent! Go on, Tashi! Use Meteor on the other one!" Silver was flying on Arco Iris, whos Wind attacks would have done nothing to the Death Glider, putting it at a disadvantage. Of course, Tashi's Fire attack did fine, and when the Meteor struck it forced the Death Glider that Opal wasn't already fighting into the ground. "I have been meaning to try this thing out..." Silver mumbled, using the Up Flame Spall Card on Tashi before saying, "Now, use Blazing Soul!" With the power boost of Up Flame and the already 00ber attack, the poor Death Glider was as good as dead.

*Since Midnight Wing's attacks wouldn't be particularily effective against the Death Gliders, Josiah summoned Rayzion.* "Heaven's retribution!" *The attack struck at the same time as Tashi's powered up Blazing Soul, KOing the unfortunate Death Glider.* "They must be wild." *Josiah mused as he headed towards where Opal and Neo were fighting the second Death Glider.* "If someone wanted to attack us I'm sure they'd be smart enough to send more than two monsters..."

Ivy sat silent as she watched Josiah and the other make light work of the Gliders.

She glanced further down the horizon and spotted a show blacking part of the sunlight. A flash of blue blinded her for a moment then it disappeared

She rubbed her eyes and looked again, but the figure was gone.

The creature that was once known as Shauni flew in the wind in a erratic and death defraying display of flight. It fluttered around in the air as if unsure of its destination and ability of flight.

After a while, the blacked winged creature with blinding metallic blue feathers at the end of its wings landed on a tree about four miles from where it had taken of.

It looked at its hand that had held Gen Ren, the cursed dagger it had drawn, to find its hand had merged with the dagger to form a razor sharp talon.

It looked at its left hand, which was still human in appearance.
The creature seemed to think for a moment on its next action when it noticed feathers from its back began to spread over its whole body. It sat as still as a windless day and its whole body became covered in the black, downy feathers.
Her face remained unchanged but her eyes seemed like hollow holes in her head as the whites if her eyes where deadly black

She screeched suddenly when the transformation had taken more effect.

She then grabbed Rikkie Maru with her left hand and the blade rushed with her hand, forming another dark talon.

She then scratched at the tree she stood on, and it obliterated into a million peace's.

She screeched one last time as she took off into the air, her voice sounding more like an eagle than a human.

She flew high into the air and spotted prey fighting with two death gliders.

She flew back to where she had come from...wanting to make a meal out of the soft flesh of the two legged creatures ridding no monsters backs...

(she is actually coming back to hunt you guys. if you want more details on what she looks like, she looks like a harpy but with rages of her own cloths over herself.))

The Guardian pulled up the Archangel. It had come too close. He could not sit and watch any longer...

A pair of dark owl's wings burst from the Guardian's back as he took to the air, and vansished into the trees.

Mahri watched as her Guardian Father flew off as she huddled close to AeroBreaker.

"Great Master be with you..." she whispered, holding close to her what looked like a black rag-doll cloaked in a ragged blue cloth.

"Finally. Was wondering when he would leave. Now to make my final perperations. Hum, they are stronger too. I got plent to send." The thing that said this then chanted something werid and a portal opened in the sky. "Go my creatures of flight from the mountains that suround this place. Go and help your botheren!" Suddenly about 10 Death Gliders flew up from the mountains and into the portal. Near the group a portal opened up as 10 Death Gliders flew out and twords the group.

"You just had to open your mouth didn't you?" said Neo when he spotted 10 more comming their way. Neo and Tsuekasa were sitting ontop of Queen Ice Bird. Tsuekasa has returned her one monster and had summoned Mystical Shinning Ball out to help. Neo's other monster was still out. Metalmorph was keeping an eye on Ivy. "Guess we better prepare ourselfs."

"Great...." Opal sighed as the 10 Death Gliders came at them as she summonded Ram, who stood on Roc Eagle's head.
"Ram, use AC/DC to slow one down! Then Rock Drop!" Ram shot the electrical current to paralyze a Death Glider, freezing it in mid air, then made several large boulders smash into it.
"Great, now, Roc, Depth Claw!" Roc flew down and dug its claws into the Death Glider, disposing of it."

"man, who keeps sending these things?" She asked aloud.

Over the grassy plains near D-Edge, the Guardian scanned the landscape for the Daughter of Hellfire or the Gamers she had summoned.

At that moment, he saw a flock of ten Death Gliders swarm like vultures around a group of flying beasts. He then spotted the transformed Hellfire maiden as she was flying at full tilt toward the battle. Something inside told the Guardian that she was not going back to help her friends...

He drew a card out of his robe and murmured something before flying off at with the speed of a falcon...

((Hmm... Just how many big bad guys do we have going here?))
"Big deal, it's only ten." *Josiah shrugged off Neo's comment.* "If it were a hundred that might be a problem but ten? Peice of cake. I'm gonna go all out and show these things how stupid it is to mess with us!" *Josiah pulled out his cards.* "Death Glider, Mythril Dragon, go! Death Glider, Midnight Wing," *he addressed his summoned monsters,* "you'll attack the enemies. I won't be giving you orders but we've trained for this so I know you'll be fine. Mythril Dragon, you can't hurt these guys so focus on defending everyone else. Go!" *As the monsters sped off to face the approaching Death Gliders, Josiah jumped off Midnight Wing's back.* "Rayzion, merge with me and form...Perfect Light!" *Josiah transformed but he wasn't finished yet.* "Now, let's see how well these things really work...Supreme Haste!" *He used the spell card on himself.*

*The others had already engaged the Death Gliders when Perfect Light, now moving so fast he was little more than a blur, shot into their midst, stricking the enemies with a lightning fast barrage of Mirror Slice and Holy Sword attacks.*

"Yeah! This is awesome!!!" *Josiah shot off to the side and paused for a moment to reorient himself while the others continued the battle. As much as he liked the extra speed, it was rather hard to get used to.*

"Josiah!!!" *Virgo appeared beside him, her transluscent wings extended.*

"Virgo?!?" *Her sudden appearance startled him. She must have teleported to his location with the pendant, there was no other way she could have reached him so quickly.* "What's wrong? I told you to guard Ivy!"

"Jeff and David can do that. You'll need my help."

"With these guys?" *Josiah motioned towards the remaining six Death Gliders.* "Thanks for worrying but I could probably take them all out on my own."

"No, not them..." *Virgo's voice trembled slightly and Josiah noticed for the first time just how tightly she was gripping her spear.* "Something is coming. I can sense the dark aura from here. Its power is immense. It's...it's... Look out!!!" 

*With his finely honed reflexes, Josiah/Perfect Light sensed the attack and twised aside as black harpy like creature shot past, it's talons missing him by inches.*

"It's here!"

*The others, still fighting the Death Gliders, didn't notice the strange creature's arrival.*

"It's fast." *Josiah had become deadly serious.* "And it doesn't look like any monster I've seen before."

*Screeching angrily, the creature turned in preperation for another attack.*

"I don't like this... Something just feels wrong... Virgo, we'll attack together, come at it from both sides, hit it hard and fast. Ready... Go!"
