*Josiah, who had been momentarily distracted by Poison Pyrogothica, turned just in time to she Shauni knocked down by Ivy's attack.* "That does it!" *His eyes blazed.* "Shauni was trying to give you a chance to back out of this. Well it's too late for that now! I won't let anyone hurt my friends! Hellfire, Fireball Charge!" *Due to the effects of the Supreme Haste card, the attack was so fast it was nearly impossible to avoid. Hellfire slammed into Ivy's chest, smashing her into a tree and leaving her momentarily stunned.* "Now Virgo, Mecha Overdrive!" *Still recovering from the Fireball Charge, Ivy could do nothing to avoid the legendary attack.*

((MUST... POST... besides, I can't have the NPCs just sit there...))

Something snapped inside of Jeff when he saw Shauni fall and he bolted toward Ivy, his handgun drawn... Ibun sensed and saw this behavior and tried to stop his human friend.

By now, Josiah's attack had connected and it left Ivy in a slight daze, but the Sin was just aware enough to see the Orcan soldier running at her. She made an attempt to brace herself for whatever was coming...

They didn't notice Jeff's eyes had changed color or the fact they were cat-like... They didn't notice the ethereal wings of Jeff's deceased Yuki (ice bird) appearing near his shoulders like a spirit strugling to manefest itself.

Ibun, however, saw these changes but he wondered if the others noticed, as these changes on Jeff were as faint as the wind blowing.

Far away, the Guardian was watching the battle through the Archangel. He too, sensed the changes. He knew they would be temporary and would fade by battle's end before the others would notice but...

... could it be possible that Jeff's Gamer Powers have been reactivated after so long?

If so, they will only get stronger...

((I'm likely going to have to research this... I do recall Jeff had absorbed the attributes of his dead monsters at some point in the past RPs and could use their skills when he needed... The skill may had faded sometime during ROM3 or was likely never used in the eighteen months to two years between ROM 3 &4...))

"Jeff, be careful!" *David yelled as he saw Poison Pyrogothica swoop down towards his friend. Hearing Ivy's accusations he had hesitated to enter the battle earlier but everyone else had their attention on either Ivy or Shauni and had yet to see the attacking bird. With only seconds before it reached Jeff, David held up a card.* "Go Fallen Angel! Path to Salvation!!!" *Fallen Angel fired a large ray, the color shimmering between gold and black. Poison Pyrogothica was struck and KOed instantly by the powerful move. Unfortunately, Path to Salvation got its power by draining the energy of its user, leaving Fallen Angel too weak to continue fighting.* "Whew..." *David breath a sigh of relief as he returned his monster to its card.* "That was too close."

Ivy was struck by Mecha Overdrive full force and she reeled in agony as the attack pushed her back into and threw the tree it had forced her to hit.
She bashed into the ground hard on her arm and lay lifeless on the ground.
Smock rose from her body as her robs burned from the heat generated by the attack.

Shauni struggled to her feet as the poison from ivy's claws began to take effect.
She staggered over to Ivy and knelt over the body. With a hesitant arm she reached out and touched Ivy's face, moving some of the leaves from her hair to look into her closed eyes.
After a moments hesitation she check the pulse...there was a very weak pulse
"Guys...she's not dead."
Ivy began to stair a little then suddenly her eyes bolted open. She grabbed Shauni's arm then pulled her down to her face
"You...you burned Stamford Raffles to ash....you...y-you"
Shauni shuck her head
"I swear to you...it was not me"
Ivy's body suddenly began to glow
"You burned it down...YOU"
Ivy suddenly flew up into the air and threw Shauni away from her.
Shauni's fiery wings burst from her back to stop her from falling to her death.

Ivy suddenly become coated in leaves and wines that had sprouted from her own body.

Suddenly all the wines and leaves where cast off, leaving a tall apparition of nature
"I won't let you live! I can't!"

Ivy's Demonic Form Notes of interest: she is 12 16 foot tall, she can use spell cards on herself
Attacks:
Poison Ivy: The branches have spikes that secrete venom. She swings these branches at her opponent.
Root Crusher: The roots are embedded into the ground and then vibrate, causing an earthquake
Storm of Leaves: Leaves become razor sharp and are cast at opponent in a gale
Forest Bear Trap: Nemours ways of using the branches as traps, like cages or grabbing bear traps. They stop opponents from moving.

*Jeff and David hurried to help the injured Shauni as the others faced off against Ivy's new form.*

*Fudge crackers! Why do the bad guys always get a transformation? I want a transformation!"

"So, time to take it up a notch?" *Josiah stepped forward.* "I already warned you about hurting my friends! Hell Fire, merge with me and form...Eternal Flame!!!" *In his new form, flame wreathed about Josiah, all but hiding his body in the blazing orange heat.* "Let's get her guys! Flame Crescendo!!!"

((BTW: When transformed, I can use spell cards on myself))

Ivy struck back at josiah using Storm of Leaves
The leaves hid Ivy from view as they strike Josiah. Josiah's attack completly misses and Ivy strikes at Josiah using Four Swordsman

From each of Ivy's wooden amrs, four blades sprote and attack him from behind.

While Josiah is engaed with ivy's top half, she has used Forest Bear Trap to stop eveyone else from moving unless they do something to remove the roots

"I got this one! Go, Frozen Taranchula! Use Richter Break!" Silver released the Spider from its card, and even with the attacking roots, it was able to create a massive erathquake to lossen their grip. Arco Iris, who had easily avoided the roots by staying airborn, swooped down and lifted Silver up since it was easier to fight the roots when they moving so much.

Jeff took in his surroundings. Not all the roots were taken care of...

<What am I doing?> he thought to himself.

<Jump...>

<What?>

<Jump... trust me.>

"Jeff, what are you doing?!" Ibun shouted as Jeff made a running start and leaped over the wall of roots. "Damn."

While Jeff was in mid-air, he aimed his hand gun and fired a few rounds at Ivy, the thunking sound of bullets hitting wood indicated the soldier's dead-aim.

Ibun whipped out his beamsaber and cut away the roots, allowing the others a chance to get out as Ibun took off after Jeff.

Ivy wound up another attack and locker her vengeful gaze on Shauni. "Poison Ivy!"

... the attacks bounced off Shauni as if some forcefield was protecting her.

"Wha?"

"Huh?"

A very focused Jeff ran up from behind Shauni and landed a highspeed punch on Ivy. He left a deep scorch mark on the Sin... then he fell back and looked at his hand. He felt no pain doing that... He looked back at the root wall. How did he clear that?!

<What am I doing?>

<Trust us. You have trusted us long ago. We need you to trust us again...>

"His powers have returned... but they are not at full power. At least he's focused now. He will need to learn how to trust them again..."

Shauni, who was hovering low to the ground remained silent as she watched. Her eyes where grey at the moment, but they kept flickering violently to black.

Suddenly her wings gave out on her and she landed on the ground.

A strange dark aura began to seep from her body as two new wings grew slowly from her back. The wings looked like magpie wins, black with shiny blue feathers at intermittent locations.

Her hands grew nails that hardened into claws and her hair suddenly changed from brown to violent red

Ivy staggered back for a moment as the sight befell her eyes
"I knew it...it was you! Its was you! You are the one that slathered the Dryad!"
In a rage she charged at the entity that amount ago had been Shauni.

The creature remained still up until the moment Ivy was almost upon her, then she suddenly flew up into the air, pulled out Gen Ren from the cursed holster,...and cut off Ivy right arm.

Ivy reeled back in agony for a moment.

The Black winged creature screeched a blood curdling cry then flew off into the sky, leaving behind Shauni's confused monsters.

Ivy stood, motionless, holding her wooden arm...that was bleeding.

She glew slightly then began to shrink down and returned to her Dryad human form.

Her eyes fluttered then she blacked out, falling to the ground in unconsciousness...

The trees around Ivy seemed to moan in anger as Ivy lay on the ground and Shauni had taken off into the sky

(( shauni changed into a dark version of herself again, Ivy is unconscious. Please don't kill her, interrogate her as roughly as you want. I will be playing as Ivy for now while I set Shauni up for something very big ))

Jeff stared off into the sky all horrifed after Shauni transformed into that dark creature. Outside, he was in a silent shock, but inside his heart and mind, he was raging.

<You said I could trust you!> he shouted angrily at the spirits within him.

<We did...>

<My trust in you has only brought suffering! Now go away!>

<We will come back to you, our master. We could not bear leave you alone for long...>

<Never come back...>

Jeff came back to his senses and yanked Ivy up off the ground by the nape of her robes. "What did you do to her, witch?" he hissed, his cat-like eyes narrowing in hatred.

Ivy started to surface to awreness. "I- I was drawing out her true nature, fiend..." she muttered in her pain, "So I may destroy it in my vengeance..."

"You would have killed her!!" Jeff roared, throttling the Dryad.

"That. Was. My. Intent. You. Monster!." she managed to spit out whilst being thrashed about.

"Jeff! That's enough!" Josiah pulled the raging soldier away from Ivy. "That's not going to help us."

Jeff looked away and closed his eyes.

<She called me a monster.... What the hell happened to me? And what happened to Shauni? This is getting too much...>

"It's just going to get worse, young master..." the Guardian whispered as he watched on, "It's just going to get worse..."

"Ok, everyone just calm down." *Josiah, who had unmerged, appeared to be having a difficult time following his own advice.* "David, please make sure Jeff stays back. Sorry Jeff but this is a good chance to find out more about our enemies. We shouldn't kill her just yet."

*Jeff nodded reluctantly but David moved next to him just in case.*

"Virgo, stay close to Ivy. If she tries anything finish her off."

"Got it."

"Silver, fly around a bit and see if you can spot Shauni but don't go too far off."

"She was going pretty fast but I'll try."

"Now," *Josiah turned his attention back to ivy,* "start talking. I want to know everything. Your commrades, your goals, your master, everything."

Ivy looked up at Josiah, her vision blurred from the battering she had just recived
"I will tell you...I won't begrudge you knwoing who your exicuinars will be"
Her head fell a little as she fought to stay awake, but Josiah left a little of his frustration went and yanked her head back up
"TALK"
"We are...se...seven bound to the ruler of Cap-cannon. Her name is...Vanderbolt...and she is...is an incarnation of...of the watcher demon. She...she found a way.."

Ivy's head lowered as she stuggled to find words

"Ancient texts foretell the second coming of 'The Priestess'. The original Priestess fought over 800 years ago against a demon that had crossed the mystic barrier of Merry Creak. This barrier is a wall that surrounds the continent. No one really knows who made the barrier...all we know it that some how this demon managed to brake threw it. The demons name was Kassius and it devoured every living creature that it came into contact with. Everything seemed lost until the Priestess fell commanded the wild spirits of nature and formed 3 God Monsters named Manja, Kanma and Kuiia from wind, wood and water. The gods sealed Kassius in a Cursed Daggers, which she then cast into another dimension.
After that She went around Cap-cannon for a few years, teaching whoever sought enlightenment...but then another evil rose from the Eastern Lands of your own continent, a Demon named Gastell. The Priestess could no fight. All she could do was use her own soul to stave the demon in a fragile slumber. According to legends the demon was bound at 'The gateway to the realm of god.' The Priestess spoke that once her strength had failed her in her fight against Gastell, she would return in mortal guise again, having lost everything that had made her who she was before...but she would be granted the gift to summon even stronger warriors using insight that only transcending threw Hell granted her."

"What the hell are you talking about!"

"The Priestess used her soul to create a shield around the sleeping Gastell. She maintained the shield until her strength gave out. Gastell is still in the fragile slumber, but he is at risk of being awakened by an outside force. Lady Vanderbolt seeks to capture a powerful demon for her cause, much like the way she has 'acquired' her deadly sins. She needs Gastekll if she's going to Ascend"

"What is 'to Ascend'?"

"vandebolt believes if she has enough power, she can manifest herself into a higher plane of existence. That is what she strives for. She wants to appear in the world of the warriors...the world of our Gods." 

"She...wants to be a god?"

"That is her goal. You are a threat to her goals as you have the power to stop her. You may be fledglings now...but you are from the world of the gods. You have the power to warp the very fabric of this world."

She bowed her head
"I only fought to gain vengance on those that have wronged me...I care nothing for Vandebolts ideals...I wake the darkness in your friend to fight her at her full power...but she overwellemd me. The form she holds now is the form of her dark heart"

(( Am I right in assuming that everyting Ivy told us is Cap-Cannon legend? Because things sounded much different in Orca. The daggers had two mischief gods, not one super demon... and there was an explanation for the 'barrier' at Merry Creek. ... also, did you really intend to mispell "Vanderbilt' into 'Vanderbolt'? ... ... and is one of the cast the carrier of the demon 'Lady Vander' needs? ... I hope I'm not ruining anything... ^^;; ))

Jeff stepped up as David lay and hand on his shoulder.

"Relax. I'm not going to hurt her."

"Just a few minutes ago, you were going to make her worse."

"Don't let that fiend lay a hand me..."

"... I'm not coming anywhere near you." Jeff growled, "I was just listening to you and I wish to make a proposal."

"You seek to negotiate with the ones who will kill you?"

"I only want to know what end this will bring. I've seen too much bloodshed and suffering already and the sooner this whole deal is over with..."

"Just get on with it, fiend."

"Fine then. I propose that you allow us to tend to those wounds..."

"What?!"

"You attacked us, witch. We had no choice but to defend ourselves. We came here looking for answers since we believe Cap-Cannon attacked us first..."

"We attacked you--?!"

"Our mission was not meant to bring harm, but it looks like that's going to happen anyways. The least we can do now is soften the blow and hope nothing bleeds."

"Very poetic, fiend..." Ivy looked like she was weakening, "But what is the catch?"

"Lead us to Vanderbolt."

"Then you seal your fate."

"I don't care. I just want my friends safe... and that includes Shauni."

The Guardian threw the Archangel at the ground, wedging the sacred edge into the soil.

"You aren't supposed to take charge..." the Guardian sighed angrily... He shook his head as he watched Ivy contemplate the offer. "So... it begins."

Neo could remember reading about some of the stuff Ivy had said. And from what else she said, it seemed that they were in for something serious in the near future.

"Hum, another rival huh. Must try and get rid of this Vandebolts person so I can rule without someone trying to interfear." said Neo to himself. Neo shook the idea out of his head quickly. What was he saying about ruleing? Yes they needed to get rid of Vandebolts but take over the world? Neo didn't know what got into him.

Neo's eyes then went blank and he begain to speak. "You will be wasting your time on her master. She is much too powerful for you all at the moment. You need to get stronger if possible before you confrount her. Besides, something aproaches. Have fun." Then Neo's eyes returned to normal.

Meanwhile in the sky Silver could see something aproaching. Actually 2 somethings. Silver quickly reconized the 2 monsters. "Hey guys. Two Death Gliders are aproaching." Suddenly a Negablast surged past Silver.
