*Back in town for a sec...*

"There are only three known light/dark hybrids. Ying-Yang, Diety, and on very rare occasions Drakonne. I'm shocked to see such a rare specimen."
"So is that a good thing?"
"Absolutely, light/dark hybrids are said to be the most powerful of all monsters. Although it all comes down to training. If you treat her well she could have limitless power."
"When you say limitless you mean..."
"I meant exactly what I said, limitless."
"Limitless power. I'll be right back. I'm going to try out her new attacks."
"Just be careful. Without proper training the attacks could be too much for her. Until she grows some more you shouldn't use the hybrid attacks."
" :( Well poo... Oh well let's head out to the desert for a bit."
*Jeff spends a couple of hours battling fire monsters. Eventually he returns to town, heals up, and goes back to check on David.*
"How's he doing?"
"Oh, you're back! David doesn't seem to be getting any better; but at least he's not doing any worse. His state hasn't fluxated that much since he arrived."
"I'm going to go lie down for a bit."
"Okay. I'll handle things here."

*Now back to the desert.*

"Yeah, that thing's exactly like Magikarp... Kojyo, Light Charge!"
Kojyo slammed through the crack and another hole broke open in the wall, revealing the room filled with treasure. "SWEET! WE'RE RICH!"

"Hold on, didn't you watch any movies? I bet this stuff's cursed, if we touch it we're doomed!"

"Right... Oh well, Kojyo light Charge, let's get out of here." Kojyo slammed through a crack in the wall to show the seemingly endless dessert, and they started walking.

"Oh come on, I can't just leave it here..." Shauni whispered as she grabbed one small gold coin

"YAAAAAWWWWWNNNNN! ...grumble grumble..."
"Hi there sleepyhead! ^_^ It's almost time for dinner."
"I'm not really that hungry right now. I think I'll just have a sandwich."
"Okee dokee. ^_^ "
"Why are you so cheery?"
"David seems to be doing better. He could wake up anytime now."
"...WHAT...WHO...WHERE AM I?"
*They run in to see David.*
"David, calm down. While we were battling a monster you passed out."
"Passed out?"
"Yes. When we saw you, we carried you to the shrine where you've been ever since. The others went to check out some ruins. I stayed behind just in case you woke up. Oh, this is nurse Ojy. She's been taking care of you."
"Oh... erm... thanks."
"Well it is my job."
"We were just about to eat."
*They have supper.*
"David, I was wondering if you have any monsters?"
"Yes. I have one. His name is Ragnor. He's an electric type. I don't like to use him much so he's pretty weak."
"Not for long he won't be. I've got some extra cash. Since I don't need anything I'm going to buy you some new attacks."
"Here I'd like you to have this E8 orb. It's to repay Jeff for his kindness and helpfulness."
"You guys don't have to..."
"I'll be back."
*Jeff goes out and buys an E6 and an E7 orb.*
"Here you go."
"Thank you Jeff. Thank you Ojy"
"No problem. I have to get going though. I'll be back with the others later, are you going to be okay here?"
"I'll be fine."
"Okay, let's go Drakonne!"
*The take to the skies. They eventually reach the ruins.*
"Hmmm... I wonder where they are. Maybe I should check the other side."
*On the other side is a door. He enters and finds a room filled with treasure. He sees Shauni leaving.*
"Hey wait up!"
"Jeff what are you doing here?"
"David came out of his coma. I came to help you guys out."
"Well hurry up."
"Right."

So...I passed out? Hm. I wasn't even battling. I'm so weak. But, when I was out...what was I dreaming about? That couldn't have been me, could it? This is so confusing. I've lived in Vallhalo all my life, and I was an orphan, that wasn't me. I don't think it was me. I don't know what to believe anymore. This whole trip is...is...
"Ahh! It's that damn headache again!"
David fell to his knees, he held his head. After about ten minutes, it went away.
"This happens everytime I question my self - my life. Like during the battle..."

~~FLASHBACK~~

They're giving it all they got, and I'm not doing a thing. Ragnor is too weak. No it's not him, it's me. I don't belong here with them. I don't belong here at all, in this world.
A memory pops in David's head. A boy is running up a hill.
He...he looks like me...
The boy reaches the top of the hill where he sees a girl.
...just my age and everything....
"Fiona! Am I late?"
"Of course you are. You're always late."
 Heh, sorry Fi.
At least I always know that you'll be there, especially when I need you.
She reaches in and gives the boy a kiss.

~~END OF FLASHBACK~~

That was when the headache came.
"I need to find out what those "memories" mean, if I don't, I'll be lost forever."

Shauni had her hand in her pocket, she was playing with the coin she had taken.
As the gang cleared the ruins she remebered Holly.
"Hay wait! we forgot about that NPC"
She ran back and saw that holly was gone, looking around she saw nothing
"Thats wired" when suddenly she felt cold, like all her energy was being drained. She began to winch in pain and fall to the ground
"Shauni!" yelled Jeff
The others all ran over to her, none of them noticing David was also in pain.
Shauni had the coin in her hand
"The curse.....Silver was right." she grond, as she threw the coin. She was suddenly ok after relsing it
"That coin? Did you take it!" yelled Silver
shauni looked down in shame "Yes, I think you where right. That must be what happened to the NPC, but where is she now?"
The all looked around but couldnt see her
Shauni kicked sand over the coin and it became buried "No one will have to feel that pain"
"Tech Golam!" she ylled as she threw her new card to the groun "Earth Furry!"
The golam destryed the ruins and it coplaed on itself
Shauni walked back over to the other
"Ok, 3 issues now. Where is the NPC, what is happing to David and how did Ray get so powerful so quickly"
Silver grined "I have an answer. the virus"
Shauni frowned "You know, this is not all MY folt you know...."

*Shauni breaks in to tears.*
"Way to go idiot. Why'd you do that for?"
"The sooner she realizes the truth, the better it will be. She is the hellfire virus."
"He's right you know."
"You're not helping."
"...sniff... no Josiah... they're right. I need to accept that I am the hellfire virus."
"All I'm saying is that we shouldn't be suprised when unexpected things happen."
"You mean like the Ice 'chosen' showing up?"
"Heh. I should've known it'd be you, HOLLY!"
"We haven't had time to heal our monsters."
"Well then go heal them. David and I can hold down the fort here."
"But..."
"NOW! The sooner you leave the sooner you can come back and help me."
"Alright let's go Ragnor!"
"We just need to stay alive for 10 minutes while the heal up, Drakonne. So... use Dark Spear!"
"Use hyper blizzard, shilly!"
"Switch to your dark side quick! I can't believe I forgot it's weakness against ice."
"Yes but you also forget that ice is weak against electric. Charge up your energy with storm warning."
*A massive cloud appears in the sky. Rain begins to fall and thunder begins to boom.*
"Use Cold Shoulder, shilly!"
*Shilly tackles drakonne for alot of damage.*
"...damn. Only two minutes left, though."
"Right... use zaptwo!"
*A large yellow bird surrounded by electricity appears. It flies towards shilly. After the hit it turns around and flies back.*
"It'll take more than that to stop..."
"Toshi use extreme flame!"
"Orc use inferno stomp!"
"Zapz use voltage!"
*The three simultaneous attacks damage shilly greatly; but not enough to stop his next attack.*
"heh... heh... heh... you're all doomed... shilly obliterate them with FINAL FROST!!!"
"Use Life & Death!"
*A coin with and angel and a devil on it is flipped into the air. It lands on the angel.*
"Too bad..."
*A massive sheet of ice rushes in and destroys everthing in it's path... or did it?*
"How? How did we survive?"
*They see Jeff with a smirk on his face.*
"Life & Death. If the coin that is flipped lands angel up then the next attack fully heals us. If it lands angel down then it instantly kills us."
 :blink: "Isn't that a little extreme."
"Yes it is. I had no choice. That attack would have destroyed us anyway. The attack itself is only to be used in a near-death situation."
"What happened to holly?"
"The unseen force, of course."
"I can't believe we weren't powerful enough."
"I think if it was five on one the whole time we would have won more decisivley."
"Yes that's true. You did amazingly well considering you don't like to battle."
"I think now that I have people I want to protect I won't mind battling."

Shauni was gutted at what jeff had said, its true she was the virus, but its not like she was the one that wrote it, she ment that she wasnt responsible for its creation, though she fought as hard as she could, Jeff was right, this was her folt, she had mutated this world, and she had summoned them.
As the others celibrated there victory, she disappred into a cornerand began to mutter to herself
"this isnt my folt....i didnt decided who I would be...." she looked around her corner "If i wasnt born....i mean created the others would be at home, enjoying there real lives...I'm just a waste....a mistake..."
She looked at the floor, therer she spotted a card, unclaimed. She picked it up and found it was another Mutation card like the Hellfire. Its name read "Curruption"
"Maybe this is what blocked the Hellfire Card before"
She picked up the card. The monster looked like a rapter with puple scales and a purple mullit on its head
"This card is a little weird. Maybe if I collect all the mutation cards I can do something useful. The mutation type seems to not have a disadvantage...."
shauni pulled her other cards out, she placed Fang, Tech Golam, and Orc on the ground
"I think i'll give these to the others"
Current monsters (minus the ones up for grabs, I dont want em any more)

*Jeff notices shauni is gone.*
"Shauni I'm sorry about what I said. I know it's not your fault really. You may be the virus but your not to blame for the good things or the bd things that happen. What are you doing?"
"I'm giving up some of my monsters. Do you want one?"
"Oh... I... I wouldn't mind having fang."
"Okay. Here you go."
"Just remember shauni. I'm glad to be here. I'm glad I know you."
"Thank you Jeff."
*She breaks into tears. Jeff gives her a comforting hug.*
"Don't worry. We'll always be here."
"T-t-thank you, Jeff."

((I skipped the whole evolution crap because I didn't feel like typing it up.))

shauni passed the other card out amoung the other "Does anyone want orc, or tech golam? I want got get all of these mutation cards, and I dont know how many there might be so I need to make room. I am assuming the 30 card limit hasnt been brocked"
The others looked at the cards
"hay david. I'm sure you could have a few right?" she smiled at him, her tears drying

*Josiah considered asking for one of the cards but decided to let David take them both. He was the one that needed more monsters.* "Hey guys, let's head back to town and visit a real shrine before another monster attacks, we really need to heal up."

*Back at the shrine Josiah took a good look at his cards and noticed for the first time that Zapz had grown at the end of their last battle, reaching it's final form, Electricutz. Now it looked more like a small tiger than a house cat.*

"So, what do we do now?" *Silver asked as they left the shrine.*

"Hmm?" Jeff questioned.

"He's got a point. Those ruins were just one big trap so where are we supposed to go now?"

*Shauni was looking thoughtful.* "I think there's a city over those mountains." *She gestured to the north.* "Let's go there." *The others agreed and set off to find a road leading north.*

Current Monsters:
Electricutz - 3/3 - Electric --> Flash Tackle, Multi Striker, Voltage, Electric Speed, Electric Heaven
Shadow Wing - 2/3 - Dark --> Shadow Bind, Night Ray, Shadow Shroud, Dark Strike, Dark Aura

Shauni again led the way, followed by Jeff, Josiah, Silver and David at the back that look glefuly at his new cards. Yomico walked on her own at the side of the group.
She studied her new mutaion card
"I wonder how many of these there are?"
Jeff shrugged "Who knows. Not many I bet"
Shauni noded "Your right. I want them all though, at least then they cant be used agaisnt us"
The continued down the roud, beging followed by a Moen Spirt holder...........

"Now I'm hearing things." *David turned and looked behind them.* "Is someone there?"

"Actually there's several someone to be precise." *Three Moen Spirit trainers stepped out of the brush and another three suddenly appeared behind the group, trapping them.*

"Not this group again." *Josiah, Jeff, and Silver all groaned at the same time.*

"Wait you've run into more of these guys?" *Jeff asked.* 

"Yeah, I guess they're all over the place." *Josiah reached for his cards.*

"Well," *Shauni was grinning,* "if they want a fight let's give it to them."
