Introduction
As you may have all noticed, I've posted 2 (One in my art thread, one in my Signature) pictures of the Blackmist named Raven. What I'm going to tell you now today, is the facts and history of Blackmist.

Basic Facts
The Blackmist planet is located in a bad part of the universe, located among some of the worse planets. There are always plenty of invaders, so most of the race of the Blackmist must be ready at all times to bring up sword and magic to defend their homes. Other than that, the Blackmist can be a peaceful race, except for the villains that aim to either control or destroy Blackmist.

Characteristics/Looks
Yes. They are basically hovering fireballs with Ray-Man like arms and legs. But they do come in a variety. Their flames sometimes waver in different directions, instead of just up and down, and their eyes have different patterns, to distinguish between them. In most cases, matching eye patterns means relation in tribe. The tribes don't have names, but pretty much can be recognizable anyway. Some are born with Bodies, making them much taller (I can get a picture of what one with a body looks like sometime.), but less agile as those without. Feral Blackmist are born with claws and Fangs, and usually lurk around the forest, acting, well, Feral. Few Blackmist are also born with Wings, but even with the wings, they don't fly, but can still hover and/or glide.

The Elements and Magic
When Blackmist are born, they are born with one of 5 elements. Some Blackmist train with their element, and become mages. Some Blackmist mostly ignore their element, and become strong fighters. Some prosper in both, becoming Battlemages.
Element 1 - Earth - The first element, Earth, represents Strength. Blackmist with the Earth element have abilties such as Strengthening themselves, or strengthening allies.
Element 2 - Fire - The second element, Fire, represents Vigor. Blackmist with the Fire element usually end up being mages, because the Fire element holds most of the magical offense spells.
Element 3 - Water - The third element, Water, represents Knowledge. Blackmist with the Water element are usually adept at Predicting, Strategizing, and countering opponent's strategies.
Element 4 - Light - The fourth element, Light, represents Life. Blackmist with the Light element are adept at bolstering allied defenses, and healing their wounds.
Element 4 - Shadow - The fifth element, Shadow, represents Death. There is only one known Blackmist with the Shadow element, but he hasn't been seen for months. Usually, young Blackmist with the Shadow element are eliminated, because they can eventually become too powerful for their own good. Blackmist with the Shadow element have powerful offensive magic at their control.

'Military' Ranking
Most Blackmist end up working for the 'Military'. Their Ranking system starts everyone off as a basic soldier. They place you up as Basic Soldier, underneath a high-ranked General, who then commands you. After a few battles, if they've managed to survive, and have gotten enough Reputation (Like capturing bases, slaying enemy officers, large kill count), are then re-ranked as an Officer, still under the same general, but then given a 'Title', such as 'Healer', 'Mage', 'Thief', etc. etc. After more Reputation, the General may take an officer under apprenticeship, so after the General retires or dies, the Officer then takes over. Not many Blackmist make it through the Basic Soldier stage, though...

Weapons
Blackmist use weapons from our Earthen Medieval times, such as Swords, Bows, Axes, etc. etc. Some also come up with their own weapons, such as a double-bladed sword, or a shield with a sword forged at the end. Luckily, the invaders have the same kind of weapons, but usually prefer Lances, Swords, Bows, and Mages.
Well, that's basically it for the Blackmist. Eventually (Maybe this month), I'm thinking of starting a roleplay with these characters, so I thought "Why not inform them about the Blackmist?" So, I wrote this up.

Sounds interesting! So about the villians, do they look like the Blacksmith's or do they differ in anatomy?

Well, the off-planet villains are a different race entirely, (Most likely, I'll end up saying some of us can make up a race that attacks, or something), but the On-planet villains are essentially blackmist.

Any chance we could get some examples of invader species?
