As always the normal rules apply.

This thread is for OOC (Out of Character) discussion for the cast of "The Orre League "

This thread is intended for the entire cast to agree on storyline moves and/or events. If such events only involve two of the cast members, both cast members must limit their conversation to Private Messaging.

This thread is also for evaluating potential new Cast memebers or reinstating old Cast members...

PLUS this thread will serve as an open disscussion thread for anyone viewing the RP.

Please keep all conversation civil and do not stray from the uses of this thread.

Thank you.

Just a heads up, I probably will join this once I come up with a good character. I may try something a bit different this time...

To make it blunt, while Kain seeks to be a good trainer in memorial of his dad, he's not exceptional... well, not as far as he knows, anyways. Kain is decent-- decent in the scope of making a good show and putting up an enjoyable fight, but he still loses. On top of that, he hasn't battled in a long time (in relation to the fact he's 18 and such) and it may take him a while to warm up due to being rusty. By the time he's in good mind for battle, he's already lost.

Besides, he'd rather be chasing clues about his father's death over battling at the moment. Unless he is pressed into a fight, he'll avoid it at all costs, mew. I hope that's fine with you...

... and he'll be showing up at the prof's lab just to inquire about a lead on his search for the truth.

Yeesh... make long posts, but ya don't read 'em...

Wait a tick. Aren't we all supposed to have two pokemon, since the people in orre are all silly and every battle is a double battle?

Y'know, I was gonna start one of these today... I just didn't get a chance last night.

And Simeon, if he's not gonna be any better than a n00b, then he's gotta have the Pokemon of a n00b. Four fully evolved, extremely rare Pokemon = No. I'd let you get away with it if you just had the Charizard, or just Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Pidgey, but really, all four is too 00ber unless you're going to take the Canute option I presented earlier. This is supposed to start out as people just STARTING as Pokemon trainers...

And I guess you've got a point that we should be using two... but you only start with Eevee in XD, because in the first battles people only have one Pokemon anyway. Eh... if anyone wants to add a second Pokemon like shauni did that's fine, but you don't need one. You'll have a chance to catch one soon enough.

And Stevenson, I don't see why you'd want to start out at Kaminko's... you won't be able to get any badges or catch any Pokemon later in the RP if you don't go to the Lab, and it's not like anyone's gonna go get you.

EDIT: Neo, Simeon's text color is already red... and please, no reading minds. I don't care if you can move stuff telepathically or whatever, just... no reading minds. Because I don NOT want any of this:

"Hi, my name's..."
"Silver!"
"How'd you..."
"Know? B CUZ 1M L13K 00B3R 5YK1K! NOW DIE!"

Or this:
"Where'd they go?!"
"To Pyrite!"
"How'd you..."
"Know? B CUZ 1M L13K 00B3R 5YK1K! NOW DIE!"

...not that I'm saying you'd do that, it's just... blech.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

... again... you write long posts, but you didn't read... *Points to his last post in the OOC thread*

Look... the best way I can compromise is have a funky accident happen at the Lab while I'm talking with the Prof. and Kain's Pokemon get de-evolved to their basic forms. Besides, as I said, he's likely not going to battle often, and I do like the fact that he'll just cross paths with the group every now and then.

*sighs* This is what happens when two control freaks share the same storyline. *chuckles*

Yes, I read that. And while I suppose that's basically the Canute part, the fact that you said he's no better than a n00b and then give him completely 00ber Pokemon is... not very Canute. He's got a completely 00ber Monster and is DEFINITELY better than a n00b and far from rusty. Gah... I'll let you do your thing, but can you get rid of two of your Pokemon? Just edit your post and leave him with just a Charizard and a Blastoise or something. Deal?

Alright... I'm fine with that. But do know I'll be picking them back up later in the story, Silv-kun. *plans to leave Solarsaur and MachWing with Prof. Krane*

Fine... when everyone else has four Pokemon, you cna get them back. Although I'd rather have you obtain them through other methods. Maybe you could buy them from Team Snagem, or catch one in a Pokemon Reservation... you could find it fully evolved, too, 'cause all the Pokemon confiscated from Team Cipher went in there.

Other: Kain is a decent trainer but he hasn't battled in a long while, so he admits to being very rusty. He's only picked up his PokeBalls again just because he suspects the new upsurgence of trainers in Orre will shake loose more clues to what really happened to his father.
His Current Roster is: Charizard (Charmander) "FireKing," Blastoise (Squirtle) "Admiral," Venusaur (Bulbasaur) "SolarSaur," and Pidgeot (Pidgey) "MachWing"
[SolarSaur and MachWing are currently being studied by Prof. Krane.]
Kain knew his father loved gemstones, and the opal was Sidney's favorite. The opal pendant Kain now wears was Sidney's "Lucky Gem" and Sidney gave it to Kain on his 10th birthday not long before Sidney was killed. Kain is always reminded of his dad when he wears that pendant.
-- While speaking with Prof. Krane about the upsurgence of foreign trainers, a new Pokemon teleporting device being tested backfired, leaving Kain's Pokemon in their most basic forms. They still retain all their moves.
^^:; Kinda late fer that, mew?

I'll consider the Reservations, but that'll be for MUCH later... (Forgive me, those are pokemon from my actual roster. I'm quite attached to them, as is Kain. ^^U)

Well, most psysic abilities tend to come with that ability as well. Like I said, he rarely uses it though it may come in handy if a villian refuses to tell. I'll leave it up to you. I won't do it to other people.

Well, there we go. Problem solved... And I know, I've got certain Pokemon that I like to use as well; I just try to make it... special when the character finds them. Like, when Ash caught his Charmander that saved his butt even AFTER he did one of the stupidest things he's ever done and released it. He didn't just find a random Charmander out in the wild - well, he kinda did, but that was the point since there usally AREN'T random Charmander out in the wild - it was some other jerk's Charmander and he had to really fight for it. Not that I'm suggesting you steal something from the cheesy ol' anime...

And Neo, that's what I'm talking about. I don't WANT you to use it to pry it out of a villain; I hate that kind of stuff. It's much more fun to torture them until they talk :-C ...Or, should a situation like that ever arise, we could give Stevenson his chance to shine; you know, let 'im take advantage of the villain's no-doubt small mind... I'll give you moving stuff telepathically, even limited teleportation if you want it (You're not teleporting from Pyrite to the S.S. Libra, but you could go from Pyrite's shop to the Gym and stuff like that), just no mind reading. Please.

Have a little faith, Silv-kun. I'm not in the business of making an RP mundane. Just watch... *grins*

And Silv's right, Neo... Mind Reading is a little too much, but I like it. Let him keep it. It's great for those suspenseful moments like when he "overhears" something bad... and I can trust Neo-kun not to use it freely.

.....

After much deliberation, I honestly can't decide. I mean, about Neo. I've had bad problems with psychics and roleplays....On another site...I just don't know.
