To Brendan, May, Xain and Cali. What's your favourite pokemon type/s (Grass, fire, water, etc.)

"Who says we don't challenge gym leaders? Hanging out on the routes is just a good way to get money and experience to prepare for the next area. Although, a lot of us end up losing money and not getting much experience..."

How old are Brendan, May, Xain and Cali? They seem to be around the same age and I know they aren't 11 (11-year-olds do not have girlfriends/boyfriends unless they are just friends)

I'm guessing 13 at least

"Hmm... There's a reason I've never put an official age to them. If you look at the ages of characters in stuff like the Pok?mon anime, manga, and even the past games then Brendan and the others would be around 11 or 12. This is a rather commen trend in many anime and manga where young characters tend to act several years older than they really are.

However, that's not something I'm very fond of. If they're going to act older they should be older in my opinion. So, the official Pebble Version character ages are...

Brendan - 16
May - 15
Xain - 16
Cali - 16

To clarify a little more just for the heck of it... Brendan and Xain were born in the same month and are both about four months older than May. Cali, on the other hand, is only around two months older than May and had her 16th birthday only a week before she and Xain first appeared in the comic.

Many pok?mon trainers, however, start when they are around 12 and some begin when they're even younger.

Brendan got off to a late start partly because his dad didn't think he'd make a good trainer and partly because of a general lack of interest on his own part.

May, on the other hand, spent most of her time working with pok?mon that her father used for research so she never recieved one of her own until very recently. Her father actually gave her mudkip so he could send her out on her own to work on his new pok?dex project once everything was ready. Although, he didn't tell her that.

Xain wasn't very interested in pok?mon until after meeting Cali, who showed him how cool and fashionable some of them were (although she didn't have any of her own at the time). After receiving electrike for her 16th birthday, she decided to form the most fashionable pok?mon team ever. A couple days later, Xain was contacted by Professor Birch who offered him a free pok?mon (treeko) if he'd come to Littleroot to help out with a new project.

And there you go. Man, I sure can turn an easy question into a ridiculously long answer..."
