ROM: Realm of Monsters

"I'm going to hit the skies to get a better view. Go drakonne. HEY SHE'S HEADING THAT WAY!!!"
*He points them in the right direction. Eventually they catch up to her. She has run out of breath and is resting by a fountain. Jeff prepares to land when a wild monster attacks drakonne.*
"Incoming!!!"
*BOOM! Jeff crashes into a tree.*
"Oof! Man that hurt."
"Are you okay?"
"Yes I'm fine, but drakonne here isn't. She suffered a pretty heavy blow from that monster."
"Don't worry. We'll take care of it."
*Josiah, Silver, and Shauni prepare for battle. Out of the corner of his eye, Jeff sees Holly running away.*
"Crud. Guys I'll see you later. I have to go find the NPC."
"Don't worry. He'll handle things here. Go find her."
"Just in case. Go bubble do whatever Josiah tells you to."
*Jeff gives chase to Holly. He spots her and a monster in front of a small hut.*
"What do you want with me? Just leave me alone. Don't make me attack."
"Calm down. What's the problem? We just wanted to make sure you're okay."
"I'm fine. Now please, just leave me alone."
"As you wish."
*He rejoins the others.*
"So, how's the battle going?"

((The next post should be about the battle that was taking place while I was away.))

David saw his friends fighting off the monster. He didn't jump in to help though. He was too scared.
There is nothing I can do. I am too weak. If only I was stronger.
David stood there, frozen.
Suddenly, David got an enormous headache. The others were too into their battle to notice.
I can't take the pain! It's...too much!
Then David fell to the ground, unconscious.

David was lying on a floor, but everything was dark, he could see nothing a head of him. He got up and walked around. Then a voice called to him...
You are wrong...
Where am I? Is this a dream?
You do not belong...
Wha...?
Find the light...
What are you saying? I do not understand.
If you shall find the darkness...do not sleep...
Then the floor opened up and sucked him in. David tried screaming for help, but it was no use.

((I used a different font since the colors were taken. This is all a dream, so once the battle is finished you'll notice David unconciuos (sp).))

Toshi used Flame wing multiple times, Kojyo using Light Charge, together doing some serious damage. Bubble used Hydro Wave and Refresh to help the other Monsters that took damage, Mogal using Quaker and Zapz using Electric Speed. (That good enough?) Together they dealt enough damage to the monster it was weak and they didn't have to worry about it.

"Just some NPC... Oh my god! David!"
*The gang runs over to David.*
"David wake up! David! DAVID!"
"Look at his eyes. It's freaking me out."
"We should get him the shrine, now."
"Right."
*Jeff and Shauni pick up David and they head toward the shrine. Once there they put him in bed and wait for a nurse to show up.*
"Anyway as I was saying, she was just another NPC. She didn't say anything special at all."
"Well that stinks. I guess we should heal up our monsters."
"How did bubble do?"
"He listened to every word I said."
"Good boy. Let's heal you guys up."
*They gang re-enters David's room after healing their monsters. A few minutes later a beautiful nurse walks in.*
"Hello! ^_^ I'm nurse Ojy. I'm going to be taking care of your friend here. He seems to have gone into a coma."
"It must have happened during the battle. It's strange that he'd go into a coma all of a sudden."
"It is strange, but not surprising. After all that's happened, nothing could possibly suprise me."
"We cannot stay too long. We have to head out."
"I understand. Bubble. I need you to stay here and protect David, okay?"
"No, Jeff. I'll leave one of mine here. It'd be better for you to have at least two monsters. I can afford to give up one."
"I couldn't help overhearing. You'll be glad to know that we have plenty of monsters here that serve as protection."
"Really. Well that is a relief. At least we know he's well protected. Come on guys let's head to the desert. Hopefully we'll find some clues in the ruins. If not we can always use the experience."
"I'm staying just in case he wakes up. I don't want him to be alone."
"But..."
"I've made up my mind."
"Okay, Jeff. Let's go you two."

((The nurse's color is violet, just so you know. COLOR=???, replace ??? with violet.))

"Yeah, I think Crystal said she caught a Tashi in the dessert, so Toshi will be right at home there... You sure you just want to stay here, Jeff?"

"It's not like we're going any farther than the dessert without him, we can't take any chances. If we find a way out and he hasn't caught up yet, he'll be stuck here."

"Right... Well, if you're sure you want to stay here, I guess we should go..."

"I don't think he's ready."
"It's okay, he can do it. Now, just keep your eye on the ball, son. Got it?"
"I think so."

Memories were flashing threw David's head. Memories he didn't know. Two parents and their little boy were throwing a ball at a stick. David was very confused.
"These aren't my memories," David said to his self. "...but the boy looks like me, or, I think he does... Erg! I am so confused! Where am I?"

((sorry, if you cant read the first lines, there's not many other colors I could think of, that match them anyway.))

shauni was sufferingfrom the heat, as was the rest of the group. Shauni was worried about david and Jeff, she didnt want the group to slit up.
The group suddenly saw a figure in the idsitance, it was the NPC Holly shauni had saved from Dark Death.
Shauni began to run towards her but the girl ran away, the others followed.

They came apon a shrine in the desert, the girl holly sat by the shrine
The group looked at her confused, she seemed frozen. When Shauni toched her she was ice cold......

"What the heck?" *Josiah studied Holly.* "Please don't tell me she's really another monster in disguise."

"I doubt it." *Silver walked towards the entrance of the ruined shrine.* "If she was she'd probably be attacking us..." *He peered inside the shrine.* "Hey guys, this isn't a shrine at all, it just looks like on from the outside!"

*Josiah and Shauni ran up the stairs and took a look for themselves.* "I remember now." *Shauni stepped inside.* "This place is a dungeon known as the Forgotten Shrine. There's lots of spirits inside but there's also supposed to be some treasure at the bottom."

"Well let's go then." *Josiah headed for a crumbling staircase that dead down into the darkness.* "If I know my games we'll probably find something in here to help that girl." *The others agreed and followed but soon it became so dark they couldn't even see the floor, much less anything else.* "Hey... I wonder..." *Josiah grabbed one of his cards.* "Come on out Ray!" *The small golden monster appeared.* "Now use Shine!" *Ray began to glow and suddenly the group could see again.*

"Now that's a good idea." *Silver grinned.* "Come on, maybe we'll find some good monsters down here."

Current Monsters:
Zapz - 2/3 - Electric --> Attacks: Flash Zapper, Flash Tackle, Multi Striker, Voltage, Electric Speed
Shadow Wing - 2/3 - Dark --> Attacks: Shadow Bind, Night Ray, Shadow Shroud, Dark Strike, Dark Aura
Mogal - 2/3 - Ground --> Attacks: Root Strike, Leaf Rain, Upheaval, Rock Crusher, Quaker
Ray - 1/3 - Light --> Attacks: Shine, Sparkling Beam, Ray Striker, Light Power

shauni was worried about Holly "You dont suppose this wasnt supposed to happen...may is this place....it feels odd"
J brushed of her though "Its fine, now lets get moving"
Shauni neverusly follwed them.
She readed her new Death card just in case.....

Eventually they came across a dead end, and there appeared to be a Shadow chasing them. It resembled a Tiger, but it was all black with a horn on its forehead and spikes down its back.

"That's definitely not good... go Ray!"

"You hold that thing off, I've got an idea... go Kojyo!" *releases Kojyo* "Light Charge!"

Ray used Light Power to stop the monster, while Kojyo charged through the wall so they could get through. On the other side of the wall they found...

Current Monsters-
Toshi - Fire - Flaming Tail, Extreme Flame, Poison bite, Fire Charge, *Flame Wing
Kojyo - Light - Leaf Chain, Light Slash, Light Charge, Flower Power, Vine Choker
Ommie - Water - Droplets, Water Charge, Cannonball, Acid Rain, Ocean Surf
Heuno - Dark Spin, Shadow Power, Metal Horn, Dark String, Dark Steel Drop

*Toshi is the only monster that can learn this move and it's extremely powerful

*Meanwhile back in town...*
"Okay I got all the supplies."
"Thank you, Jeff."
"It was the least I could do."
*All of a sudden a huge explosion occurs outside.*
"We're under attack! Prepare the defenses!"
"Yeah! This is what I'm talking about! Go Drakonne!"
*A chansey-like monster appears to help in the attack.*
"Okay drakonne, use dark spear!"
*The monster unleashes a huge fireball from it's mouth.*
"Use protect!"
"Thanks Ojy! Excellent a fire type monster. I'm at an advantage. Use dark spear!"
*The spear pierces the monster, but it continues it's rampage.*
"I didn't want to do this, but... use Hell's... no us Unholy crush!"
*The monster is taken down.*
"Whoah! You've changed back... sort of... you're now a light/dark hybrid."

back to the desert

A huge monster appred through the hole they had blasted, they were now caught between two of them. The new monster was somthing called a Tech Golam, a huge golam rock monster with binding metal strips.

Shauni panickied "O hell!" "GI summon Hellfire!" she yelled
The mutation card appred from her hand and flew into the golam using Blister, shauni threw a card and the golam disapred into it "EVERY MOVE NOW!" yelled shauni, they all ran thought the hole, shauni picking up the card, as they were still chanced by the other monster, but they where met by something worse at the end of the coridor........

A Toshi, but 10x bigger than Silver's, and there seemed to be something else different about it...

"A Moen Spirit!"

"And it's about to use Flame wing!"

Behind it you could see a small crack in the wall with light shining out from it, but the huge Toshi seemed to be guarding it. When Silver's Toshi got ready to battle, a large amount of Tushi and Tashi fell from the ceiling, all Moen Spirits

"Crap! There's no way we can beat all of them!" *Josiah summoned all his monsters just as the black tiger thing that had been chasing them burst into the room, blocking any chance of escape.*

*Silver summoned his monsters as well, as did Shauni, but something was wrong.* "What the?!?" *She tried repeatedly to summon Hellfire but it wasn't working.* "Something's blocking my card!"

"But how are we gonna win without Hellfire?" *Silver watched as their spirits were slowly pushed back by the seemingly numbers of Moen Spirits.*

*Suddenly there was a blinding flash of light and a new monster appeared in their midst. It was human sized and gold with two shimmering angel wings and a long sword.* "Ray?" *Josiah gasped. Suddenly he knew what to do.* "Raystar use Ultra Nova!" *A huge explosion rocked the ruins as light filled the room. When the trio could see again all the Tushis and Tashis were gone, along with the giant one. The tiger thing was still there so Josiah threw out a card, capturing it.*

"That was a level 9 attack!" *Shauni gasped.* "And Ray isn't even fully grown!"

"Talk later. Let's get out of here before more Moen Spirits show up." *Silver headed for the crack in the wall as the others followed.*
