Opal's Art Thread
Wow, I spent an hour on this Pidgeot! I tried to make it girly, but I don't think it worked. Meh.

Silver would understand why I would make it girly !o!

No, you're just the only one with that much free time. Well, I must say, the first one is the most lovely little red 'x' I've seen in my life... and the Pidgeot's good, but something about the head bugs me. It just seems... off anatomically.
And ya know, all of the Pidgeots I've used have been female... well, except for this one, but tht's because I waited for a male one. I'll usually just catch the first Pidgey I find, and they're usually always female... and the male one took me forever to find. It's crazy...

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

But I already tried that several times and... woah! It shows up in the 10 most recent posts on the bottom of the page
' eh heh...
It's really good too, but again the head is somehow.... off. It's like, too round... and she doesn't have much of a chin.

Ember- It's not very good. The shape of the head, giant ponytail, and mouth all look extremely off. The breasts are up waay too high and are oddly misshapen, and the arms are bending in ways they shouldnt. The legs are thick and odd, and I don't know what's going on with the shoes.
Pidgeot- It looks okay... just a little weird. The left wing is strange looking, and the beak looks like it shouldnt be that far out from the head.
The coloring on both is very shaky, and there's weird random white areas (unless you did those intentionally. But I doubt you did, because they look plain bad.) Might I suggest cleaning up the picture before you color it.

Wow, Mute seems harsher than pokchu was -gets ran over by a truck-
Thanks for the crits Mute, I know I'm not the best drawer in the world, but trust me-this is better than it was last year. i only recintly started to try to draw humans in the last three months. And I like long pony tails. Look at some anima girls and guys and their hair!
The white is there because the lines would look oober shaky if I did the lines on photoshop, and plus then the picture would look different from otehr pictures as the individual I am -looks at sweat bands and dog key chain on pants-

This sounds a bit...off...after mute's criticism, but I think both look just fine. Better than I could do any day of the week, anyways. I didn't really see anything that glaringly bad about them....
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.
