Unknown Nothingness

"Well, first we brake this door...", said Artemis, "I have a way...". She focused on the cell door and called upon her conglaciation magic. The door frosted over and became very brittle. It cracked in a few places. Artemis walked over to it and swung her blade with force, shattering a huge portion of the door. "Problem solved.", she said as she crawled through.

"That's one way of putting it..." Pausing at the hole Artemis had made, Aeria looked back. "Are you coming, Aldar?" As she spoke, she strung the arrow once more, this time drawing the string back one-forth her maximum pull.

Aldar sighed. "I meant that it would be foolish if any of us attacked now. Wait until his execution. Less guards, more light to see by, and I'll have my magic back by then. If you want to go now, you'll kill him instead of saving him. But no, if you go, I'm not going to come with you." he said, lying down on the ground.

"I'm going to go to sleep."

Aeria stopped and thought about it. "You know," she called to Artemis. "He has a point..." The Featherite felt rather embarassed at not having thought of it earlier. She had a tendency to rush unheedingly into things, and she knew it.

"And how are we going to save him if we don't know where he is or where his execution is going to take place? For all we know, they might be ready to kill him right now!", Artemis argued.

Aeria slipped her arrow back into the quiver and rubbed the back of her head with the freed hand, thinking hard. "Which one of us here would attract the least attention?" she finally asked. "I was thinking we send someone out to somehow find out whatever we need, then attack at the most strategetic time to save Tikawa. Besides," she added, "if we charged in now, we still wouldn't have an idea where he is."

Dethrohan was sitting in his throne. He was tapping lightly on the arm of the chair.

A soldier ran up and threw Tikawa on the ground in front of Dethrohan, explaining the situation.

"I see... We'll make his execution Tommorow at Noon... Take him away..."

A single soldier strolled through the door, not seeing the group, shrugging at the door, and walking toward the center of town, holding the "Public Execution Notice"

Artemis eyed the guard with interest. She turned to Aeria and said, "I'm going to follow him and see if he might be willing to spill any information on where Tikawa is. I'll be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, you can watch sleeping beauty there...". She made a motion at Aldar. Then, in utter silence, she followed after the guard. She was as silent as death itself and as focused as a hawk on its prey.

Aeria looked after Artemis, then at Aldar. "...Or you could do that," she muttered, sitting down next to the opposite wall. Her bowstring was lacking an arrow again, but she kept alert, ready to fire on anyone coming through that door wearing suspiciously large amounts of red.

Artemis was getting tired of waiting for the guard to stop and so decided to make her move. She flew past the guard and touched down in front of him, drawing her sword in the process. "The dragonian. Where was he taken?", she asked, pointing her blade straight at the guard.

The guard smirked. He knew what to do in these situations. He pulled out a dagger and jabbed it into his chest. He laughed grimly. "Now you'll never know..." That's whenh e remembered the Public execution note.

"... Ah dan..." He collapsed, dead.

The note read much like this

this note is to set the Public Execution of a Dragonian named Tikawa. The execution is to take place in the TOwn Square at Dawn.

Try anything funny, and your execution will be added to the list.

(So...she still doesn't know where Tikawa is. oO So in a way, the guard didn't fail in keeping things a secret.)

Aeria yawned, bored. She shifted her position and stared at the hole where Artemis had exited. "She should be back soon," the Featherite thought. "Don't worry about it." She leaned back, closed her eyes, and dozed.
