(Yes, Aldar and Artemis are out of the building, but Tikawa was knocked out before he could get in.)

Aldar finished climbing out and stretched. "Well, we should get a move on. Where do you think we should-" he began, but stopped. He looked through the hole. "Um, hey. Are you coming or what?" he asked, directing his question at the hole. It, of course, just stood there in stoney silence.

Aeria sat crouched in a tree. An arrow nocked to the string, she was gazing at the Serephine who had just appeared as if from nowhere. Upon closer scrutination of the building he had appeared next to, the Featherite spotted a rather small hole, neatly blending against the surrounding stones. He appeared to be talking to someone out of sight. Aeria shifted her grip on her bow, took a deep breath, then launched herself from the branch she had been sitting on, prepared for a possibly hostile reaction. Flaring her wings, she hovered. "Hello..."

Aldar spun around, staring for the source of the noise. Then he saw Aeria with her arrow strung. He began cursing under his breath.

Damn...I have no magic left. If she's hostile, we're done for...

"Who are you? What do you want?" he asked, backing into the wall.

Aeria evaluated Aldar's behavior almost unconsciously. It had become a habit of hers to look for hints of someone's feelings in the way they acted.

"Hmm..." she thought, brown eyes calculating. "Backing up...cursing...he's nervous. That would mean he's not hostile and thinks I might be...or he really means me harm, but doesn't have any weapons." Lowering her bow further, the Featherite smiled faintly. "I'm Aeria Tolanae, and I doubt you can give me what I want." A grimace crossed her face for a few moments. "But never mind. What did you do to get caught?" she asked curiously. "And who were you talking to?"

Hastily, she added, "I'm not going to hurt you. These arrows-" She indicated her weapons with her head. "-Are for those Scarlet Crusade people only."

Aldar breathed a sigh of relief. "Good. Don't scare people like that. If I had any magic left, I would have attacked you." he said. Then the Serephine poked his head inside the hole. "Hey! You coming out, or what?"

Artemis had stayed quiet and observant throughout Aldar and Aeria's conversation. She suddenly became very worried when Tikawa didn't appear through the hole. She emerged quickly from the shadows and hastily shoved Aldar back through the hole. She followed immediately and let out a small cry when Tikawa was no where in sight. "Oh no!", she said, scrambling over to the cell door. The color drained from her cheeks as many terrible thoughts flashed through her mind. "Tikawa...", she said, barely above a whisper and fell to her knees.

Slightly startled by the sudden appearance and disappearance of a Shadowing, Aeria fluttered over to the hole. "Um, you okay down there?" she inquired, hovering nervously. "What happened? And who's Tikawa?" Her grip on the bow tightened again.

Artemis forced strained words and said, "He's our friend and companion and... he's been taken by the Scarlet Crusade...". She found her eyes stinging from tears that also choked her voice.

Aeria almost shot the arrow she was holding. "Huh...looks like we'll just have to get him back, eh?" she asked smoothely. Under her nonchalant tone, however, there was an icy coldness that wasn't there before. The mere mention of the Crusade was usually enough to anger her, although when she actually saw them, more often than not she'd be too nervous to do anything. Besides, she still didn't like fighting, no matter what she told herself.

Aldar got up and dusted himself off. "I hope you're not thinking of attacking now." he said.

Artemis pulled herself up and hastily dried her eyes.

"Aldar, you don't have to go... I'm sure Aeria and I can rescue him by ourselves.", she said.

Aeria looked suddenly uncomfortable. "Eh...I don't know about that...I mean, how many soldiers are going to be in there?" she indicated the building with the arrow she'd taken off the string. "We can't be very sure. My techniques can do damage to multiple people at a time, but they are draining. Besides, I don't have that much fighting experience," she admitted. "I don't like fighting at all."

Artemis gave a very small smile and replied, "I'm not as weak as I appear... I'm a necromancer and I have some pretty damaging attacks as well... I'm not half bad with my blade either." She drew her blade and outspread her wings a little. "It's fine if you want to stay too... I'll go in by myself.", she said.
