ROM 4: New Horizons

((If you want to add in something David does at any time, go right ahead... I'm not gonna be able to finish the battle all at once or anything.))

"So I'm facing David now, huh? This'll be... fun..." Silver said to himself as he took his place in the arena.

"Silver? If I remember correctly, he's completely retarded. This'll be easy! Go, Salamander!"

"Eat my Reckeleck, Punk!" The red and yellow dragons faced off, Reckeleck hovering slightly in the air and Salamander glaring from the ground bellow it.

"Start off with Elemental Rage!"

"Use Shocking Winds!" As Salamander upped its power for future attacks, Reckeleck sent an electric wind at the red dragon. Little damage was sustained, but it succeeded in paralyzing the foe. "Now, Stray Bolts!" Many bolts of lightning flew at Salamander. It struggled to move out of the way, but as it was paralyzed this was extremely difficult and a lot of the attack hit it.

"...Or not... All right Salamander, try to use Eruption!"

"And you try to dodge it!" As lava shot out from the ground bellow it, Reckeleck flew higher and higher into the air, just narrowly escaping the lava but still getting a bit burnt just from the intense heat it let off. "Now try a Slicing Gust!" As Reckeleck flew back down towards its foe, it slashed at the air several times and the air slashed at Salamander in the same way. Reckeleck landed in front of its paralyzed and already significantly weakened opponent, expecting an easy victory.

"Now! Circle of Hell!" David commanded as the paralyzation receeded and his monster was able to move a bit more freely again. Once Reckeleck's feet touched the ground, Salamander shot up and a circle of flames surrounded the yellow dragon.

"...Oh fudge crackers..." Silver mumbled just before the flames erupted into a firey death trap. Once the flames receeded, Reckeleck's form became visible again... it was horribly singed and on the ground, but it managed to pull itself up. "C'mon Reckeleck... let's end this! Final Storm!" Clouds filled the sky as horrible wind started to blow. Reckeleck wasn't affected just yet, but Salamander had a hard time not being blown away. It started to rain and a clash of thunder was heard... Soon, a strong bolt of Lightning landed right between the two dragons, followed by several others. These, however, struck the monsters, both falling unconscious after several bolts. "All right! Next up, Ummie!"

"Good enough... go, Supreme Golem!"

After Neo and Tusekasa got done talking the match of Shauni and Amahl was over. Neo didn't need to guess the winner. He knew who would of won. Neo and Tusekasa walked into the V.I.P area and sat down to watch the next match.

"Hum, Silver and David, intresting."

Neo watched exitly as both trainers battled and had to bring out their next monsters.

Opal wacthed the battle, holding her hands as she watched Silver battle David out.
"So Silver!" She yelled in joy, unable to sustain herself.
The battle is what Opal needed to keep her mind off of Lopa.

"Acid Rain!" The dinosaur-like monster replaced the few clouds remaining from Reckeleck's Final Storm with Ominous purple clouds that soon started pouring out the familiar purple liquid. This made even standing still very unpleasant for Supreme Golem...

"Let's get this started with Bash & Smash!"

"Winding River!" As Supreme Golem charged at its foe, Ummie created a forceful wave of water to push the golem back and save itself from damage.

"Earth's Fury!!" David's command caught the struggling Supreme Golem's attention and soon several spikey pillars of rock emerged from the ground, Ummie unable to dodge them while controlling the river. One of these forced the dinosaur into the air, both the acent and decent doing damage.

"Argh... Dew Point!"

"Defense Wall!" As Ummie charged at its opponent at top speed, SUpreme Golem created a wall of rock to defend itself from the incoming monster. The wall shattered as Ummie struck it, but Supreme Golem was unharmed.

Although Supreme Golem seemed to be winning by a mile, it had taken significant damage over the course of the battle as well. Ummie's Acid Rain attack was still in effect, the rain continuing to heavily damage the golem. However, it was slowly starting to wear off, and after one more turn had passed, Ummie's upper hand would be gone... and using a turn to renew it would leave it open to attacks. "Try a Boiling Tide!" A large wave of scalding hot water formed behind Ummie, charging at Supreme Golem and destroying the battlefield in the process. Supreme Golem couldn't defend itself; another Defense Wall would just get washed away, and there was no where to hide... the pressure of the water alone would have done significant damage, but the added temperature made this a powerful attack.

"Shattering Stones!" As the last of the Acid Rain fell, the golem began to throw massive rocks the Ummie, shattering upon cotact. Even the boulders that the dinosaur avoided managed to do damage, as it wasn't exactly the fastest monster in the world and couldn't get out of the way in time to evade the smaller pieces of rock.

"Let's see if we can finish this now, Ummie... use Erosion!"

"Silver has grown lot stronger than he was when we fought Bowen." *Jeff had just left Amhal and Ibun to sit with Josiah and Virgo.*

"I'm more impressed by David. He would have never been able to go toe to toe with Silver like this a couple years ago. He must have been training constantly."

"He did train, but that's not why he's improved so much. He's more focused than he used to be and more relaxed as well."

"I agree. It's certainly improved his reactions and strategy."

"It doesn't matter, Silver will win anyway!" *Opal called from the row behind them.*

Josiah looked at her, almost suprised she had commented, but she was already looking away as if disinterested in the fight again.

Ummie's Erosion attack struck, the large golem falling to the ground and returning to its card shortly after. The dark blue dinosaur was still standing, albeit just barely.

"Argh... Go, Armegedon! Thor's Hammer!" The electric bird quickly used its powerful attack, Ummie being too tired to even try to dodge it and returning to its card.

"Huh... This time, I think I'll use... Heuni!"

"So this time you're using a Demon Bug? That's almost as bad as the parrot..."

"HEY! NO ONE disses the parrot! Hueni, Metal Crush!" The small, black insect flew high into the air, flipping around so its spiked back was rushing at Armegeddon during the descent. The speed of the fall, coupled with the sharpness of the spikes, inflicted a lot of danage to the unaware bird.

"Squished by a bug? I'm afraid I don't appreciate the irony... Gale Blast!"

"False Hypnosis! Don't let it use the attack!" Silver commanded before David even finished speaking. Before Armegeddon summonded its windy attack, an accedental glance into the 'eyes' on Hueni's brightly glowing wings caused it to freeze right where it was. "Now, Steel Shadow!" The insect jumped into the air, it shadow following it. After multiplying in a fasion similar to the Pokemon ability of Double team, each of the copies turned completely to steel and flew at their electric foe. After dealing heavy damage to the unresponsive foe, the shadows faded back into shadows and the Hypnosis wore off.

"You have GOT to be kidding me... Power Charge!" Armegeddon easily hit Hueni, who was still recharging after the powerful Steel Shadow attack. The electrically-charged bird flew at the insect at top speed, sending it flying back and dealing heavy damage.

"Eurgh... Not a problem! Dark Vengance!"

"What the-" David shouted as a complete darkness swept over the battle field. Not a sound was heard, but when the scene was re-illuminated, Armegeddon had seemingly taken a whole mess of damage and Hueni had recovered. The electric bird had a hard time maintaining flight, where as Hueni ooked like it hadn't even been hit once. "Now this, is pathetic. Armegeddon, Thor's Hammer!"

Once again, Armegeddon let lose one powerful stream of electricity, splitting the battle field and hitting Huene head on. That about made up for all the damage it recovered with the Dark Vengence attack... and some. "C'mon Hueni, we've got this one! Use Metal Crush again!"

"Get out of the way and use Sheet Lightning!" As Hueni flew into the air, Armegeddon flew to the side, and just before its insect-like foe hit the ground, used the weak electric attack. Hueni, who couldn't exactly defend itself in any way since it was already performing an attack, was hit pretty hard.

"Ok... that didn't work... well then. Let's just finish this with a little style... Hardened Heart!"

"Oh no! Why is he using such a risky move now?" *Opal's eyes widened.* "Hueni won't listen to orders when using that move. If he loses I'm going too..."

"Interesting..." *Josiah was smiling.* "But I don't think you have anything to worry about. Silver is smart and he trusts his monsters, they're not going to let him down."

"But why is he using Hardened Heart at all? Sure it's a nice power boost but it won't offer any protection against Armegeddon's electric attacks."

"True, it is less useful against some types but just watch. I think I know what Silver is planning..."

Neo had been watching the battle unfold but often when something is on his mind he tends to let his mind wonder off to what is on it and not pay attention to what was going on around him. This time it was the info Tusekasa had told him about the attack on his village. Yes they got attacked from time to time when monsters came from the forest, but it was usally only a small group. Sometimes it was even just one comming out. But never a group of this size. It was also disturbing that it happened soon after he had left to come here. He knew he had to get to the bottom of this. It could have something to do with the dark shrine still in the forest, if the legonds of it are true. Though with his experence in the game, it would seem to be true. Everything else that seem to be a legond has so far....

Meanwhile Tusekasa, still clinging to Neo's arm, noticed that Neo wasn't paying attention to the battle anymore. "Good, he's lost in thought. When he does that he usally acts."

((Sorry... I been really busy lately, I haven't gotten a chance. I just got Pokemon Emerald and I was kinda away today and yesterday... I'll edit this post and finish off the battle later tonight.))

EDIT:

"You're giving up control of your monster? Hah! Now's our chance to turn this around, Armegeddon! Power Charge!"

"Come on Heuni, don't fail me now..." As Armegeddon charged at the insect, Hueni dove to the side and jumped on the back of the lectric bird as it passed. It ruthelessly attacked Armegeddon in any way it could, be it scratching with its small-but-sharp steel claws, biting with its tiny caterpillar mouth or throwing the razor-sharp spikes on its back into it.

"Armegeddon, Sheet Lightning! Armegeddon?" The electric bird, completely frantic, didn't respond to David's command; Hueni was inflicting a great deal of pain, and all Armegeddon could think about was getting it off. It slammed its back into the ground in hopes of squishing the bug, but Hueni was long gone by then. It kept up its merciless attack and Armegeddon was soon down for the count.
