ROM 4: New Horizons

((I get to use three monsters so I have no problem with you KOing one or two of them. Just don't make them look weak since Josiah has spent a lot of time training them.))

*Josiah stayed in the stands long enough to congratulate David. He could barely contain his excitement.* "It's my turn!" *He grinned.*

"Should I go down with you?" *Virgo rose from her seat.*

"That's ok, you can stay here." *he replied.* "I don't think I'll need you for this battle."

"Ok." *She gave him a smile.* "Good luck."

*Josiah arrived at the arena the same time as Opal, just as the announcer finished calling out their match.* "Hey, good luck." *He called to Opal, who was looking rather nervous.*

"You too!" *she called back as she held up her cards.*

"Let's do it!" *Josiah decided to make the first move.* "Go Ice Celestial!"

"Go Mother Nature!" The giant Tree/women monster appeared in the battle field.

"Start off with Ice Age!" Josiah commanded as Ice Celestrial shot ice everywhere, freezing the arena.

"That won't stop us! I hope.." She mumbled under her breath the last part. "Mother Nature, use Wrath of the Sun!" Mature Nature moved her hands to make the sun beam down on the ice, making it flood. "now with this all this water, use Perfect Tsunami!" With the boost of extra water, the large Tsunami headed towards Ice Celestrial head on.

"Wow, you've really improved." Josiah commented. "But now it's my turn!"

((Hum, I think my one post was ignored somehow. That wasn't crystal that came up, it was a npc that I'm introducing and somehow got messed up in that.))

((Well, I was hopping Silver would of responded soon after me. I used crystal's color cause I was told that color was open only to realize after I did the post that it was taken so I've done a new color. I was hopping to introduce my npc when Silver posted something like I was behind him... Guess that won't work now))

((Hmm... You can introduce your new NPC right after this battle if you want Neo.))

"Ice Celestial," *Josiah watched calmly as the massive wave neared his monster,* "use Freezedown!" *Ice Celestial raised her hands and fired a whitish blue blast. It struck the wave, freezing it solid. Ice Celestial was now hidden behind the new wall of ice, leaving Mother Nature unable to pick out it's location.* "You can't hit what you can't see!" *Josiah taunted.* "Now it's time for Hail Storm!"

"Ack!" *Opal covered her head as hail began to rain down on her side of the field, pelting Mother Nature.* "Use Wrath of the Sun again!" *The hail didn't last long beneath the sun light and soon even the frozen wave had melted, making the water already covering the arena even deeper.* "Perfect! Now I can attack with..." *Opal paused, realizing that Ice Celestial was nowhere in sight.*

*Josiah grinned as Opal looked around in confusion. Then, suddenly, Ice Celestial burst out of the water behind Mother Nature!* "Perfect Zero!" *The attack hit Opal's monster in the center of its back, knocking it over.* "Great job! Finish with Freezedown again!" *The water surrounding Mother Nature turned to ice, leaving the tree woman stuck.* "Your move."

Opal gazed at the mess Mother Nature was intrapped in. "Frozen in place? I can fix that, er, more like the monster...anyways...Mother Nature, use Earthquake Scale!" The monster gave eye's contact, and soon the stadium shook as the ice crackled, making Ice Celestrial unbalanced and Mother Nature free to attack again. "Use Leggondaire!" The powerful attacked the unbalanced creature.

"Shoot, Ice Celetrial is getting worn out...so is Mother Nature." Josiah thought aloud. "Use Perfect Zero!" The attack winged Mother Nature's torso (I was attempted to write splien xD Inside joke with me and Sean

)

"Ouch." Opal made that look when you see someone get hurt. "Recover and use Tornado F6!" Mother Nature nodded, unholding her wound and boiling up a huge Tornado, and Ice Celetrial was caught in it.

"Not good... That tree is stronger than I thought..." *Josiah watched as his monster was spun through the air.* "But I have one last idea. Hail Storm!!!" *Ice Celestial summoned a hail storm in the middle of the tornado. The ice whirled around at terriffic speeds before flying out in all directions.*

*Josiah and Opal ducked as the high speed hail rained down all across the arena. Mother Nature took quite a lot of hits and finally toppled over and returned to its card, which also caused the tornado to vanish. Unfortunately, by this time Ice Celestial was too weak to recover and hit the ground hard, also returning to card form.*

"Mother Nature..." *Opal sighed heavily.* "What should I use now?"

"I have to admit, I never thought that you'd have improved this much." *Josiah held up another card. He briefly considered using one of his three trump cards (Electribomb, Rayzion, and Virgo) but he didn't want anyone to see their new moves this early in the tournament. Besides, his other monsters should be strong enough defeat Opal, although it would be harder.* "But this battle has barely started! It's your turn Midnight Wing!"

"Mother Nature put up a good fight, but my next monster will do better! Go, Roc!" Her large bird came soaring out of the card, looking quite eagered.

"Midnight Wing, start off Dark Radience!" Josiah ordered as the blast of dark energy spireled at Roc.

"Try to dodge!" Roc flapped his wings, only making his talons get scrapped by the attack. "Now use Hurling Gust!" The power gust swormed at Midnight Wing, making him have problems keeping steady in the air. "Try to attack now!" Opal gleemed, but in a friendly way.

"You think a little wind is going to stop me?" *Josiah laughed.* "Midnight Wing, break away with Drill Dash!" *The large bird shot forward, freeing itself from Roc's attack. Unfortunately, the wind had efffected Midnight Wing's path causing it to miss Roc.* "That's better. Now that you're free let's try Shadow Pain!" *Midnight Wing spun around in the air and fired a blast of blackish/purple fog that covered Roc. It faded a moment later but left Opal's monster blinded and poisoned.*

"Oh no! Roc!" *Opal watched her injured monster flail helplessly as it struggled to stay airborne.*

"Now's the time to nail it!" *Josiah didn't give her any time to recover.* "Omni-Mutation!!!"

"Roc!" Opal yelled, knowing her bird would be doomed. Roc cried as it begain to glow...and evolved! "Roc?" Opal gazed at the new Bald-Eagle looking monster. "It's now a 4/3! SWEET!" Opal smiled, taking our the ROMex. "Great moves....whoops, still in battle. Use Sharpest Eye!" Roc Eagles's eyes glowed, and found the right Midnight Wing. "Attack with Depth Claw!" *Roc Eagle soared away from the clones to the orinigcal one, digging its claws in.*

"Midnight Wing!" *The suddenly evolution caught Josiah off guard, but only for a moment.* "Shake that thing off of you with Drill Dash!" *Midnight Wing hutled towards the ground, spinning around and around like a drill bit. After several seconds of this Roc Eagle was knocked off and crashed into the ground. Meanwhile, Midnight Wing pulled up and ended the Drill Dash.* "You got lucky with that one attack!" *Josiah called.* "But your monster is still newly evolved. Let's see how it handles Dark Radience!"

The Guardian watched the orphan children as they ate the food and played with the toys he bought with the day's earnings. He sat on the rock, the Archangel in his hand.

Aerobreaker was firebreathing/cooking the venison the Guardian hunted not long ago...

Two more monsters were playing with the children: One looked like a living suit of armor, the other a blue-furred wolfman.

"I'm gonna get you!" the wolfman said to a child as he crouched down to pounce.

The child just squealed in excitement and poked Aarrul in the nose.

"Aah! You got me!" Aarrul shouted playfully as he fell backwards into the grass.

The Guardian just laughed as he and the huge, dragon-like Aerobreaker set up the venison... and dessert.

The Guardian unwrapped a gauze-like cloth... and revealed a stack of mushroom cakes, the favorite meal of the children he cared for. The children came running when the dinner table was set...

The Guardian set the Archangel into the air before sitting down to eat, and the sword began to display images of the tournament onto a large rock for the children to watch...

But all the while... the Guardian noticed the Archangel chose an angle to view the battle that always included the girl with anger in her eyes....

That weird feeling, the one where she was being watched fell apon her gain.
"What do you want to talk about"
theres 2 things, one, I want to know why your acting so weird"
"Times are tough, I had to servive by giving up something"
Yomikko blinded twice in confusion
"Nothing....let me just say that I gave up more than I should to servive"
"My will to love, but I had to suvive for this day"

"What purpose?"
"To win back what Ive lost"
"You'r speeking in riddles again, stop it"
"Fine, I'll speek bluntly, I am being held ransom, I must clame greatest monster trainer title or I'm doomed"
"Who is holding you to suck a horrid ransom???"
"I am"
Shauni turned away from Yomikko
"We will talk about your other thing later, I for one cant wait about your new daughter"
"What...ypou could tell I was pregnet...but how do you know its a girl, we told no one that"
"Its fortoled in the runes of Forgotten Realm, the archive of all Orca"
"I dont understand, Forgotten Realm??"
"The world of Data"
Shauni closed her eyes slightly
"My how opal has improved"

"Roc Eagle! Try to blast it away with Tornado Gust!" Opal yelled. Roc Eagle flapped his wings to create a powerful wing of wind as the attack headed towards him. It slowed it down, but it wasn't enough to stop it. Getting hit, Roc Eagle fell to the ground, barely alive.

"Looks like I've got this match! Finish it off with Drill Dash!"

Roc Eagle is done for! Unless.....I take a dive.... "Roc Eagle, use Kamikazi!"

"Kamikazi?" Josiah seemed slighty confused

Roc Eagle nodded and headed straight at the attacking monster, spinning fast enough you could only see a blur. As both monsters hit, they let out a great cry of pain, fainting at the same time.

"Sorry Roc Eagle, but the only way to stay in was to sacrific your last ounce of strenght to KO both of you." Opal held his card in pity.

"Nice thinking Opal. Since he was going to faint anyways." Josiah complimented. "But try this on for size!" He sent out Yggdrasil

"A ground type?" Opal stared at Lopas card. "I guess I can use her.

Meanwhile in the stands

"Whoa....I just had a cold chill..."

"From what Silver?"

"I'm not to sure...."

Back at the battle

"Go Lopa!" The cat woman came out, hissing like there was no tomorrow.

(For those who can see shadow aruras, Lopa's is very dark.)

Shauni ignored Yomikko now as she intently watched what was going on infront of her

"So, she still has lupa eh? With an aura like that i'm suprised she has little if any control over her...."
