Trik shot up in his bed, clutching his own arms.

"Ung... Too much... Power..."

He got out of the bed, stumbling to the ground with a thump. He didn't have enough strength to walk on his own... Lightning was dancing around his body. He tried to pull himself forward, but to no success. He collapsed on the floor and closed his eyes, still shooting electricity throughout the halls every couple of minutes.

Lance lowered his head, "Truthfully... there are... But the Altered Spirits are next to impossible to tame, unlke other spirits. It takes an Elemental with great power to harness an Altered Spirit, and one weak of heart could easily be consumed by an Altered... "

Lance looked at Louanne, "Which is why Simeon is so concerned. If ever you find one of those orbs... Get rid if it."

Louanne was surprised. "What? You mean...destroy it? How? With this thing?" She pointed at the katana on her back. "I mean, these orbs can't be overly fragile. They just withstood me sitting on them. I don't know how I'd destoy one. And how do I recognize them? I'll probably forget what they look like and all..."

Lance had an embarrassed look on his face, "You have a point... I guess you need my SpiritIdentify ability to know what to do... Tell you what... Try gathering any or all of these orbs in your next mission and bring them here. Simeon and I will know what to do..."

"There's that identification thing again," Louanne sighed. "I could get a highly detailed picture of one of these...Altered orbs and bring it with me. That's one way to do it." She was looking thoughtful.

Trik struggled to crawl once more, still no success. He sighed softly as an electric charge left his body, hitting the ceiling, and scattering in the different directions, dancing on the ceiling. He closed his eyes once more, drifting off to sleep.

"It's not that easy..." Lance said, "SpiritIdentify is also an Element Spirit..."

"Don't make it harder than it sounds, Lance..."

"Simeon!"

"Eek! Can you stop just appearing like that?!"

Simeon smiled, "Force of habit... Lance... Did you already forget that the Altered Spirit orbs are darker than the other Spirit Orbs?"

Lance palmed his face, "Augh... I did..."

"Oh... So I look for Dark Orbs..."

Simeon nodded, "You may go now, Louanne... Lance and I need to talk about the power assignments."

Louanne stood there for a minute. There was someting different about Simeon...

"Okay..."

After Louanne left, Simeon looked at the DeusExMachina Orb.

"Master Spirit... It's surfacing again..."

Joshua stood out in the Foyer alone when Louanne came back out with a worried lok on her face... Joshua had the same expression....

Louanne looked over at Joshua. "You heard about the Altered Orbs?" she asked. Suddenly, she noticed faint traces of electricity in the air. It seemed to have crept across the ceiling. Blinking, she followed them with her eyes. They led back to another side passage...one that was rather familiar...with a jolt, she remembered. It was the passage to Trik's room.

"So we'll announce the Orb assignments tommorrow?"

Simeon nodded, "It's only better... the children are sleeping now..."

"Not all of them, Father..." Joshua appeared at the door.

"Hmn? Joshua..."

"I know... but there's something you need to attend to..." Joshua pointed at the electricity crackling through the halls.

"... Hold that thought, Lance."

"... Holding... this is a matter you need to address, not me."
