(Looking back I noticed that Ziheu is older than Dragoon.....strange, I always thought it was vice-versa)

( Lance Dragoon is very intelligent for is age, and I wanted his behavior to reflect that... ^^;; )

(Looks like Mandi got chased of to bed again so I'll finish this little chat... in a moment..)

Curious, Louanne strapped her katana back on and followed the Archangel into the foyer.

Using Ignite, Simeon lit a wall sconce... and the other torch/sconces on the foyer walls lit instantly, revealing the ancient pictograph carvings that adorned the foyer's walls and ceiling. It was like standing in a cathedral...

Just now, Louanne had noticed the eerie beauty of these carvings... and for a moment she was breathless. She then recalled when Trik looked at them eariler this morning after he talked to a distant looking Joshua.

"So... Where do these carvings talk about the Element Spirits?"

Simeon pointed to an illumnated wall to his left, "There... It speaks of a time some thousand or more years ago when a powerful entity called the Master Spirit came to our world."

Louanne walked to the brightly lit wall and examined the carvings.

Simeon continued, "This entity was revered then feared for the change he would bring... The people, in fear of the Master Spirit, attacked and destroyed him... or so they thought... The entity was merely fragmented into countless pieces that wandered and floated in our world, affecting us and bringing change..."

Louanne followed the carvings as Simeon continued with the tale.

"Soon the first Elementals emerged... These were children... much like you, Trik, Joshua, Kayla, or Spirn... Of all the people that the Master Spirit contacted while he was a whole spirit, only the young ones were kind to him... and the fragments of the entity blessed each young one with their presence...

"At first, the powers granted these young ones were embraced and seen as miracles, until some started abusing thier powers... and the people who did not have these powers became jealous or frightened...

"Soon the 'unblessed' began harassing the Elementals... even pushing them to the point of slavery... Until a few rose up and gathered against this...

"But there was one among these Elemental rebels who thought he was some sort of god...

"The war became complex after that..." Simeon pointed out when Louanne reached a darkened wall. The Lion-Morph used PyroForm to set his paw ablaze and he illmuinated the wall for Louanne.

Louanne gasped.

The chaotic carvings on the wall were as frightening as they were majestic... Terrible battles... Confrontations... Fallen heroes...

"The story runs in a hundred thousand directions here, Louanne..." Simeon spoke, "Each story carved into a hall in the catacombs... I'd tell them all, but I'll only tell you this much..."

Simeon lit another wall. The glyphs were in order again...

"Peace was attained at last..."

Louanne sighed in relief.

"Over time, though... the Element Spirits left their hosts during this time of peace and vanished... as did the story of what had occured then." Simeon faced Louanne, "The only memories of these events have been immortalized here... in Haven."

Louanne could only nod.

Simeon illuminated another wall, "The Elementals that created this catacomb temple believed that the Master Spirit still exisits as a single entity, and these fragments called Element Spirits are just mere extensions of his power... 'Anyone who is given one or more of these Spirit fragments, whether they are good or evil in heart, is wholly subject to the whim of the Spirit who was shattered for their benefit...' this wall says..."

"And like my predecessors... I, too, answer to this shattered Master Spirit."

"That's why you said you were praying..."

"Yes, Louanne... I know it sounds foreign to you... but this is how I've lived." Simeon smiled a bit... "I will not force you to think as I do, Louanne. This is your choice alone, not mine. "

Simeon flew to the balcony of his foyer-view room, leaving Louanne on the foyer floor, "I have great hope Master Trik will come through... The Master Spirit has great things in mind for him, and will not let him go easily..."

"I sure hope you are right, Simeon..."

"I don't always intend to be, Louanne..." Simeon spoke with a gentle look in his eyes, "Feel free to meditate on what I have shown you if you wish... Have a peaceful night, Louanne."

"You too, Simeon." Louanne spoke back with the same tone as Simeon vanished into his room.

Louanne looked at the carvings again... She tried not to look at the darkened and chaotic wall... But she could not resist...

There was one carving that drew her attention: An ominous figure loomed over the fallen form of a winged warrior... The ominous form seemed to be laughing in triumph while others looked on in horror...

Louanne shook the image out of her head and returned to her chambers...

Simeon peeked out of the shadows of his foyer room. Louanne's expression worried him, but it was too late at night to worry...

Summoning an icy wind, Simeon turned out the torches in the foyer and retreated to his bed...

Nirak had finished another session of his training "Time to see what my 'family' is doing" said Nirak teleporting to haven.

When Nirak reappeared, he heard footsteps comeing down the corridor and became a shadow

Louanne walked pass yawning

Nirak, unnoticed, slipped into Kayla's room "This might be good for later" said Nirak using a flash of DarkHeart energy on Kayla "Sleep well sister" Nirak snickered and then slipped into the cave. When out of the cave he was grabbed by a familiar face.

"What are you doing here, brother" said Ziheu coming out of the shadows "no wait, your not my brother" Ziheu used SpiritBlock and started firing charges at Nirak

"You think these powers are all I have" said Nirak "well, your wrong" Nirak punched Ziheu in the face and sent him into the wall."

<Spirn, are you in there>

<your brother no longer exists>



"Your brother in dead" said Nirak electricuting Ziheu

Simeon walked in on the scene

"bye bye Lionman" said Nirak firing a dark attack at him "You can't stop us now, we're so close already" Nirak disappeared leaving Simeon alone with Ziheu lying unconcious on the ground.

They still were not aware of the trap that Nirak had set

(I put the last part in pink for a reason)
(Sorry if this wrecks your plan for the post your "working on")
(Spirn and Nirak are different elementals, just to let Simeon know (for the ref post))

(( Not quite... It justs gives us more reason for what's gonna happen next... and Mind you, Spirn's good heart is not dead... just sleeping... ^^;; Simeon hasn't broken the promise yet...))

Pent is asleep. (You know, I am only on in the morning so some body needs to do something with Pent. I mean I am getting board of reading and not being able to post because nothing is happening.)

(Simeon, please hurry with the post.... not to be rude but this RP is getting sort of boring ever since you left and came back, we need another mission)

*FLASHBACK*: 9 years ago

Spirn was out wandering in the city again, he liked to do that, it was more exciting that staying home. Spirn walked out of the city and into the forest, for the first time in his life he saw nature at it's best, in the past he had only seen it on TV. He was hit in the back with a darkcharge and he instantly countered with a regular charge "Who are you"

"I have no name" said the voice attacking again "I was never named, I was abandoned"

"Hey, don't need to take it out on me"

"your in my territory" the figure jumped from tree to tree and landed several hits on Spirn

"Leave me alone" shouted Spirn summoning a large blast of energy

"Hey, this kids got potential, I'd hate to waste it" said the voice. He turned into a ball of dark energy and plunged into Spirn's body

"AARRGGHH" yelled Spirn in pain



<not in a million year>

<you can't fight me, your mind is to weak> 

<Spirn>

<Ziheu>

<What's wrong>

 was the last thought that passed through Spirn's mind as the body fell to the ground.

(( Actually... I had something a tad more dramatic in mind for Kayla... I'll put up the first part of my post... The rest will come up and it will be morning then... plus the details of our next mission... ^^;; ))

Simeon swatted the darkcharge attack away.

"You can't stop us now, we're so close already" Nirak disappeared leaving Simeon alone with Ziheu lying unconcious on the ground. 

They still were not aware of the trap that Nirak had set...

Simeon revived Ziheu, and helped the young man onto his feet.

"SIMEON! LOOK OUT!"

A tainted Impact slammed into Simeon's head at point blank.

"AAAUGH!!" And Simeon fell to the floor with his paws to his face. He had been blinded.

"Kayla!" Ziheu took a fighting pose, "What are you doing?!"

Kayla spread her wings. "I have found our brother, Ziheu... Let us go to him..."

"That is not out brother, Kayla! He's been consumed by a dark spirit..."

"... Just like Trik was..." Shadow said, stepping out of the darkness with a shaken Louanne. The commotion had awakened the other Elementals in the catacombs and they gathered to see what the noise was about...

Kayla was trapped and was almost in a panic...

... until Joshua appeared and preformed SpiritPurify.

Kayla came to her senses, and saw the injured Simeon reclining on the floor, a paw covering his damaged eyes.

"Oh, Spirit... I... I'm sorry..." Kayla kneeled and hid her wings.

The blinded Lion-Morph somehow managed to face her and put a paw on her shoulder, "It is forgiven, Kayla... You had no control over what Nirak did to you."

"But... You're blind because of me..." Kayla spoke, remorse in her tear choked voice, "I lose my brother... then you lose your sight..."

"Don't say it, Kayla." Simeon drew his astranged niece close to him, "It has been worse, but all this will be for the better..."

"How...?"

"In time, Kayla... Be patient and have faith." Joshua helped his father stand up, and Simeon addressed the gathered Elementals, "We have a mission to prepare for in the morrow, children. My loss of sight should not stop us for completing our duties... or keep us from our rest. You may return to your chambers..." Simeon placed a paw on Joshua's shoulder, "Son... lead me to our room."

"Yes, Father."

Kayla was too shaken to stay in her room that night, so Louanne let her share her room... Both had a very hard day... and the rest was well deserved...

~Chapter 12: Dealing with Demons~

Feral paced in his seemingly empty office, deep in thought.

Krei was supposed to be training, but he had sneaked away to observe his master invisibly again... This time, the hidden Krei witnessed an odd, one-sided conversation...

"Are you sure I am doing the right thing to gain Utopia? Is it worth pushing my people to be come mindless warriors? Likewise, running the risk of becoming an outcast myself?"

<Absolutely... I promised you a Utopia, and you shall receive it.>

"But at what cost? I lost my wife... I lost my sons... I lost my humanity.. and I'm on the verge of losing everything else..."

<Blood must be shed before justice can aid balance, my dear host... Thus sacrifce must be made to gain Utopia... >

"I asked... Are you certain?"

<Trusst meee... I've been around long enough to know that such is true. When Utopia is reality, I will promise that your family will be whole again...>

There was an un-easy, thoughtful pause as Feral seemed to face some invisible entity in the room Krei was unaware of...

"If it means I'll get my family back, then I'll continue helping you build your Utopia..."

<Gooood...>

(( *singing* And the devil whispers in your ear... Mwee hee... ))

Krei sneaked back into the training hall. He had heard and seen too much. Feral was crazy... Crazy from listening to whatever it was he was talking to... Feral had to be stopped, but what could Krei do? Not much...

~ The Next Morning ~

"What's the prognosis, Lance?" Simeon spoke, tying a blindfold of medical gauze over his eyes.

"Joshua did a perfect job healing your eyes, but it will be at least a day before your sight comes back..."

Simeon sighed, "Perfect... Joshua."

"Father?"

"Considering I can't see for at least the next 24 hours, I would like you to lead this next mission in my stead."

Simeon could feel Joshua's face light up, "It would be an honor, Father!"

"Atta boy..."

"Simeon!"

"Ziheu? Why are you sounding so panicky?"

"Do you have an idea where Kayla went? I know you can sense her..."

"To an extent, Ziheu... Last I recall, she was in Louanne's room."

"I just talked with Louanne... She said Kayla wasn't around when she woke up..."

"Ziheu... You know your sister better than I do... Where do you think she might go?"

"... Oh..." Ziheu smacked himself in the forehead with his palm.

"Simeon... I know that we have to find Kayla... but the others are getting restless..."

"They are waiting for the day's assignments... alright..." 

Simeon was guided out into the foyer, and the tense Havenites gathered.

MISSION 3

TARGET: WILDWOOD LAB 2

OBJECTIVES:

1) Secure and Salvage as many Spirit Orbs as possible as well as anything that would be of use.

2) Locate and Rescue all the Elementals.

3) Track down NineTech Elemental Epsilon and neutralize her.

4) Destroy WildWood Lab 2

5) The "All Heroes Must Survive" rule is in effect.

Leader: Joshua

Assigned Havenites: Shadow, Louanne, Ziheu, Kayla, Pent, (3 Teleporters)

"We'll head out at sunset... so all of you whom I selected will have a chance to prepare. I'll wait for you then."

(I have to go so... see ya tomorrow (it's 8:45pm here and I haveta get off so bye again))

 Louanne strapped her katana on, barely containing her excitement. She practically ran out of her room, internally crowing in delight. A mission! She'd be going on a mission! "I wonder where Joshua is?" she murmured, looking around. "I'm ready...can't wait for the mission to start!"
