ROM 3: Shadows of Souls

"Oh, now this is getting good... CAT FIGHT!" *Tashi had since flow up far into the air so they could watch both battles from above, but his attention was more directed towards Virgo and Succubus. "Nothin' like a good cat fight..."

"Succubus? Wasn't that on South Park once? And Silver, shut the meep up. Don't you know how much 'cat fight's actaully hurt? Pfft, men"

"Well...they're still fun to watch."

"That's it..." Opal sent Roc out "You're going DOWN!" She climbed aboard Roc and went after Silver

"FUDGE CRACKERS! FLY AWAY TASHI! FLY AWAY!" Silver jumped as Opal headed toward him

"Ok....I did NOT see that coming..." The group watched as Opal tried to get Silver

"Mustiado, I still need to get back home. I still need the Shadow's of Souls."

"Well I'm sure we'll find a w"-

"No, there's another problem. If Bowen dies, my link with the Shadows of Souls is gone forever. When I made that partnership with him while I was inside Hellion, I transferred some of my power to him. He's the only thing keeping the Shadows of Souls from not exsisting. They can't kill him."

"But I'm sure there's another"-

"No. That's it. I have to warn them." He runs off to the battle with Bowen, leaving Mustiado behind.

"WAIT!" And Mustiado began chasing after him.

((No, I don't remember... And Silver still has Manja, but the other two are just, like, sitting somehwere. Bowen just needed them to be near him to be freed...))

((Bowen has the monsters on his person an will use them in due time, Silver is right, all three only needed to be near him, but only cos Silver didnt want the monster take from him, I had to adapt the way he is released a little))

((Hey Pokchu, you could ask before jumping back into the RP. <_< And you're not going to stop us from killing Bowen (first I finish my monster battle then he transforms and we have our big boss fight). I was planning to send Ben home anyway and I have a way to do it that doesn't involve the shadow of souls. Namely, Sutra. If you've been reading all the posts you missed, which you'd better be doing if you want to rejoin, you'd know that Bowen sealed her into his guantlets. I was thinking that once we defeated him and got the guantlets back we could use them to restore Sutra to her true form. And, once she's back to normal, she'll be able to open a portal back to the real world and she can take Ben back with her. Well, as long as I'm giving away my plan, what does everyone think about it? Good, bad? Does it work ok with your stuff Shauni?))

((Oh pokchu, and I've been using brown for Bowen since I forgot what his original color was and since, after we destroyed Hellion, your character's roll in the RP was pretty much over.))

((I woulda let 'im have it eventually... but ya know, that worked, too ^_^ And yeah, I'm fine with that. Better than Ben jumping in and saving Bowen. I don't see how the Shadows of Souls would help him get home, anyway :/ And I think Bowen's original color was Olive... not sure though.))

((Oh yeah, it was Olive wasn't it... Well, I'm not gonna go back and change all my old stuff but I'll start using Olive now.))

"Dark Radience!" *Midnight Wing fired off a blast of dark energy. Quetzacotl evaded it but lost its momentum in the process.*

"Lightning Ball!" *Bowen ordered. Midnight Wing dodged the sparking ball easily but Bowen merely grinned as the ball exploded, sending electricity everywhere.*

"Ahh!!!" *Both Josiah and Midnight Wing were hit by the blast.* "You're not getting away with that! Shadow Shroud! Omni-Mutation!" *Midnight Wing faded into the darkness, not quite invisible but close, then split into ten identical forms which quickly surrounded Bowen.* "Drill Dash!"

*Bowen remained calm as the circle of Midnight Wings closed in on him.* "Electric Sweep!" *Quezacotl fired a circular blast of electricity, striking all of the Midnight Wings, which promptly vanished.* "What?!? They were all illusions!!! Then where's?!?"

"Shadow Bind!" *The real Midnight Wing appeared and struck before Bowen could react. Bowen cursed angrily as Quetzacotl was paralyzed. Still, with a strong monster like that, Josiah knew the status wouldn't last long.* "Quick, Dark Radience! Now, Drill Dash!" *Both attacks struck before the paralyzation wore off. Bowen, a murderous look in his eyes, quickly ordered an attack of his own.*

Meanwhile Virgo and Succubus were in the middle of their own battle...

"Heavenly Spear!"

"Nightmare Wave!"

*The two attacks canceled eachother out.* "She's good." *Virgo dropped back.* "We're matching each other move for move..." *She was breathing heavily but so was her opponent. The pair had been fighting furiously, neither giving an inch.*

"Dream Eater!"

*Virgo tried to dodge but failed. She didn't like that attack. It was very damaging but it was hard to avoid and seemed to heal her opponent a little. Virgo's attacks did more damage but with Dream Eater she was afraid Succubus was slowly pulling ahead.* "If I could just get away from her for a minute..." *An idea popped into Virgo's head.* "Mecha Overdrive!" *Without even waiting to see if the attack struck, Virgo shot off into the coulds. All she needed was a few seconds without interference...* "Healing Touch!" *She smiled as her energy returned.*

"There you are!" *Succubus broke through the clouds.* "You can't run away! Split Ray!!!" *Succubus used her strongest attack, a series of glistening black rays that broke apart, homed in on the opponent, then combined right before striking.*

"Divine Protection!" *Instead of trying to avoid the attack, Virgo flew straight into the center of it. She was taking heavy damage but the Divine Protection, combined with the recent healing spell, had given her enough strength to pull it off. Succubus froze in shock as Virgo broke through her attack.* "Now to end this! Righteous Fury!!!"

"Master Bowen, forgive me..." *Succubus gasped as the attack struck, KOing her instantly.*

*Meanwhile, the battle between Midnight Wing and Quetzacotl was reaching a climax. Both had taken multiple attacks and could barely stay airborne.*

"Your monster lost." *Josiah could sense Virgo's victory.* "This is it! The next attack with decide it all!"

"Fine with me." *Bowen growled.* "You've been a worthy opponent but it's time to show you who the true master is! Lightning Charge!!!"

"Hang in their Midnight Wing, just one more time... Drill Dash!!!" *Lightning flashed as the two birds collided. Electricity flew everywhere, repeatedly hitting Josiah and Midnight Wing.* "Come on!" *Josiah managed to shout through the pain.* "I can't lose here!!!"

*Then, almost as soon as it started, it was over. "No..." *Bowen, who had taken a lot of damage himself, gasped in disblief as Quetzacotl began to fall.* "It's impossible! I... Can't... Lose..." *Quetzacotl reverted to card form, leaving Bowen to crash into the center of the arena below.*

"He did it! He did it!" *Down below, Shauni was estatic.*

"Bowen..." *Jeff started towards the crater in the center of the arena.* "We need to make sure that finished him off."

"Oh no! Josiah!" *At Neo's cry, all eyes went skyward.*

"I did it..." *Josiah smiled weakly.* "I'm the Supreme Trainer... Thanks Midnight Wing." *The bird gave a weak cry of satisfaction then closed its eyes and began to fall as it returned to card form. As he fell, Josiah struggled to pull himself together. He wasn't finsihed yet.* "Virgo!" *He vanished as his pendant activated, teleporting him next to Virgo who quickly grabbed his hand.* "Thanks. You were great."

"And so were you." *Virgo smiled as she slowly lowered the two of them towards the ground.*

"Not until i get you Silver!" Opal jumped from Roc and tackled Silver as he was watching Bowen

"FUDGE CRACKERS!" Silver was caught off guard "Um, so you got me...now what?"

"Oh nothing, just the satisfaction of pinning you down." She whistled for Roc, who flew over. SHe jumped onto him and landed on the ground

"Man women can be weird sometimes..." Silver follwed her to thr ground

*Josiah and Virgo landed near the rest of the group as Bowen climbed out of the remains of the arena.* "Still alive, eh?" *Both Josiah and Virgo were breathing heavily and had numerous cuts and burns across their bodies. Neither of them were in good shape for another battle and with the rest of Josiah's monsters KO'd, he was hoping that Bowen was on his last leg.*

"Fool! Did you think a fall like that would kill me?!?" *Bowen's battered human form began to waver.* "You may have defeated Bowen the Supreme Trainer. But now let me show you a greater power. The power of Bowen, Supreme God and Master of Orca!!!"
