What is Ranma 1/2?
For those of you who have never heard of Ranma 1/2 and would like some background information in order to read my stories, (someone out there must fit this description), here's a brief rundown.

Ranma 1/2 is a manga (Japanese comic) series by Rumiko Takahashi. It was also turned into an animated tv series that ran for 5 years, and there were several movies and video-only additions to the anime (Japanese animation) catalogue.

Ms. Rumiko Takahashi is the most popular comics artist in the word, ever. Comics are very big in Japan, and comic magazine sales can rival the sales of magazines like Time and Newsweek. Rumiko Takahashi began publishing in the late seventies/early eighties, and she created a series, Ursei Yatsura, that became one of the most popular comic series of all time. This is a comic with recognition worldwide to rival just about any comic you could name. Superman? Archie? Few creators in any genre are lucky enough to strike gold in this way even once.

Rumiko Takahashi did it again... and again... and again.

Her series Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, One Pound Gospel, Mermaid Scar, and Inu Yasha have all had success, ranging from good to phenomenal. Ranma 1/2 has actually exceeded Ursei Yatsura in popularity. So what is it about?
Ranma Saotome is a 16-year old boy. He's been travelling with his father and learning martial arts since he was a little kid, so he's become an excellent martial artist. Now they're back in the Nerima district of Tokyo, where Ranma learns that he's to marry the daughter of his father's old friend. He's not too thrilled about it, and things are complicated by this weird curse of his....
Recently, Ranma's father took him to Jusenkyo, "the legendary training ground of cursed springs" located deep in the moutainous region of western China, to train. The Chinese guide said, "There are very many springs (small pools), and each has it's own tragic story", but were they listening? No. They both fell into a pool, and now they're cursed. Dad fell into the "spring of drowned panda", while Ranma fell into the "spring of drowned girl". When splashed with cold water, Dad becomes a panda, while Ranma becomes... well you get the idea. Hot water restores them, but there seems to be a lot of water in the Nerima district....

Ranma's dad's friend has a martial arts training hall and three daughters, but it's Akane who winds up engaged to him. She's none too thrilled, either. Ranma and his dad settle down, he goes to school, he gets into fights, he wins, but then enemies from his past begin to show up, some with their own curses, and he finds out that he has more than one fianc?e (more than two, in fact) and there are boys attracted to his girl form.... everyone wants a piece of the poor boy/girl! It's not an easy life, being a teenage martial artist wonderkind who changes sex more often than clothes....
This series is, above all, hilariously funny.

What is Jusenkyo?

To quote the fanfic
"There many spring here, each with own tragic tale of something what drown there many year ago. Now whatever fall in spring take body of that thing. Be careful, for it very bad you fall in spring"

How were the pools cursed?

Presumably when something 'drowned' in an non-cursed pool. After that, everyone who falls into that pool (or gets splashed with water from that pool) gets that curse. It is not known if the thing had to drown and die, but it is highly likely - after all the legends are all tragic. In V37 Akane falls into a pool, and she doesn't drown, but the pool is cursed. This could be because some special method was used, but this hasn't been stated or indicated.

How do the curses work?

This is very tricky because what evidence is rather varied and quite limited. For what the cursed versions of the characters looks like, imagine a normal person have a set of characteristics, and the cursed pools set some characteristics when the curse is activated, and these will override the current ones.
For example Ranma, has (among others) the characteristic of being male, about normal height and weight, and the spring he fell into sets the two characteristics of age to be young and gender to be female - everything else stays the same. So if Ranma was tall, he would be a tall when female as well, etc. Another example is Genma's pool, which changes his species to panda, and nothing else. And the Spring-of-Drowned-Virtuous-Man would set someone's characteristics to be male, and personality to be 'virtuous'.
The characteristics that are set are those implied by the name of the spring. So because the spring Akane cursed is called Spring-of-Drowned-Akane, it has a specific quality of changing the cursed person's appearance to be like Akane's.

How many springs are there?

No number was actualy given, but there seems to be many.

What is Akaneniichuan?

The spring of the drowned Akane.
At some point in the later episodes of Ranma 1/2, Akane is almost drowened in a new Jusenkyo spring.

The Jusenkyo Guide works at Jusenkyo and usually warns anyone that comes there that they should not train there or they will fall under a grave curse. He knows the names of the hundreds of pools through the area, when they became cursed, and the "tragic story" behind each of them.

Prolog: Very tragic story...

"Oh, Miss, welcome to Jusenkyo, the Pools of Sorrow."
The middle aged Jusenkyo guide bowed his head to the young girl that stood
before him,
she was soaking wet and look rather annoyed. Her eyebrows pulled into a
frown and her pupils quivering. She look furious.
"Jusenkyo you said"

"Jusenkyo, the ancient springs of woe, honourable Miss. Many tragic tales,
many tragic lives," the guide answered as he pointed at the springs
The girls hands, which where already in fists, began to turn white from the
force in which they where held.
"There many spring here, each with own tragic tale of something what drown
there many year ago. Now whatever fall in spring take body of that thing. Be
careful, for it very bad you fall in spring"
He then pointed to Jusenkyo.
Her face went white as her eyes stopped shaking, as if this fact was like
salt rubbed into a wound
"I already FELL in a spring!" she replied, her voice strained with
frustration

"O..." replied the guide who lower his hand
"Was just thinking Miss look very familiar"
He lifted up a sign that was in Chinese
"Look like you fall in Akaneniichuan, Spring of drowned Akane.?
?Akanenii what??? the girl began with a start

?Very tragic tale of girl who almost drown in spring two month ago. Whoever
fall into spring take on body of Young Girl name Akane."

The girl, which did indeed look just like Akane quickly grabbed a hold of the
guide and pulled him towards her
"You wanna tell me how to reveres this!"
"Some say using opposite Jusenkyo curse break curse, but never seen happen
in entire life."
The girl's grip loosened "So...All I need to do is jump into another
spring...which one?"
The guide thought for a moment "Hum...you sir or miss before take swim?"
The girl frowned "I was a girl" The though of a guy turning into a girl
suddenly crossed her mind, making her skin crawl.
"Then you need Nyannichuan- the Spring of Drowned Girl, very tragic tail
of..."
The Akane clone interrupted his tale by shaking him "You wanna take me to
Nyannichuan or do I have to throw you in every spring until I find the right
one?"
The Guide gasped. "No, miss! You know not what you do! Could turn into
Piglet or cat! How you find spring with piglet or cat?"
The girl lowered the guide and closed her eyes, she was shaking she was so
angry, but unlike the real life Akane, she was able to restrain herself a
little better.
"Take me to Nyannuchuna...this body makes me feel....so angry"
The guide lowered his head "Yes miss, take you to Nyannichuan right away"
A few moments later the Akane cursed girl and the guide stood before
Nyannichuan.
"Here miss, swim in pool make anyone who go in have body of girl. Can
reverse many curses of Jusenkyo"
The girl rubbed the back of her head and ran her fingers threw her hair,
almost surprised when they pulled out before her shoulders
"You know...my hair is longer than this..." She closed her eyes as tears
began to form in her eyes and slowly ran down her face
"I don?t want to be someone else..."
The guide patted the girl on the back
"No fear miss, even if Nyannichuan no work, curse only half of time. Hot
water return you to original form anyway, is only cold water make you Akane"
The girl opened her eyes "So its not as bad as I first thought"
She looked out over Nyannichuan, it sat at the edge of Jusenkyo, and was one
of the smaller pools in the training ground, almost over looked by the
others in shear size.
She took a deep breath, then dived elegantly into the pool, submerging her
head.
She spent a few nerve racking moments under the water before she surfaced,
bursting threw the skin on the water.

She slowly opened her yes, only to the shocked expression on the Guide.
"Did... Did it work?" her voice was weak, she already knew the answer the
moment she had asked
*Thats not my voice* she thought
She quickly looked herself over only to find she was still Akane
"Ahhhh!" she screamed "You said this would cure me! Nothing happened!"
The guide began to rub his head "Hum...maybe is because miss already cursed
to turn into girl when wet... just different girl"
The Akane clone began to feel her blood boiling again, just as it had when
she had first climbed out of Akaneniichuan and released she was shorter than
she was before.
"What am I going to do NOW??" she yelled
"I get hot water for miss, show you not change all time"
The guide disappeared from the pool, leaving the Akane look alike to clime
out by herself.
She sat down on the floor next to the pool and began to squeeze
her cloths a little dryer as she wore them
"What a day..." she sighed as she closed her eye, looking down at her legs,
well, they weren?t really HER legs.
*I wonder what that Akane was like*
She sat contemplating her situation when she suddenly remembered a snippet
of information the guide had said
"Wait....'Very tragic tale of girl who almost drown in spring two year ago'
She got up with a start as the guide returned with the hot water
"Her miss, soon feel like self again!"
She ran over to him "You said almost drown right? So this Akane is still
alive?? Where can I find her??"
The guide placed the water on the ground
"She and fianc? come her two month ago. Last I hear they still in Japan"
The girls eyes lit up as the guide began to pour the hot water over her head
"Maybe she can help me cure the curse!"

A new girl now rose from the puddle of hot water, she was almost half a foot taller than her previus form.
Her hair was also much longer than Akanes. It reached just past her shoulders and flowed down her back.
It was a deep, earthy brown. Her eyes were ocean blue and her face rounder than it
was before.
The girl looked over her hands and then ran her fingers threw her hair. A
huge smile formed on her face, she had never been happier to be herself
The girl wore a simple chequered v-neck top with a white cardigan, a pare of dark blue pants that
ended just above her ankles with cord to tighten them around her feet, and a
pendant necklace that was in the shape of a small dragon. Her hair was
unbound until she pulled two bobbles from her pocket, and used it to gather
her hair into 2 long trains which she platted.
Two loosely bounded plats spilled down her back. The rest of it fell
over the girls forehead in neat but long bangs.
She pulled her hands towards her in a rather strange gesture and began to
smile cheerfully
"Ah, that?s better...wow... being that girl made me feel...so angry for some
reason"
?Yes?Miss Akane VERY angry lady??

The guide began to smile ""So glad see real miss is pretty no?"
The girl began to blush
"Ah..hehe.."

She suddenly remembered she was talking
"O yea, this 'Akane'. If she is still alive, she might be able to help me
reverse this curse..I'm sure she wouldn?t want a stranger running around in
her body"
The guide nodded "Yes Miss, Like say, Miss and Fianc? return to Japan. I send water from Nannichuan- the Spring of Drowned Man, as wedding
Gift for future husband. He cursed in Nyannichuan . Give you address sent to if you like"
The girls skin began to crawl *so a guy really DID turn into a girl*
The girl shuck the thought out of her head
"I will take the address"
"By way miss, what is name? In confusion forgot to ask"
The girl smiled "My name is Sayo Aketchi."

The place of the way." A training hall or gymnasium where Japanese martial arts are practiced.

Important Cast Members

Ryoga Hibiki is the 'eternal last boy'. He has no sence of direction what so ever and finds himself lost for months at a time. He also had a Jusenkyo curse which turns him into a black piglet when wet. The real Akane has adopted Ryoga in his cursed for as her pet 'P-chan'. She had no idea P-chan and Ryoga are one and the same. he is also madly in love with Akane.

Chapter Two : The love of Okonomiyaki 

Readers Questions

What is Okonomiyaki?

Okonomiyaki is a mixture between pancake and pizza. Okonomiyaki is usually
made from flour, water, eggs and cabbage. The cabbage is chopped and mixed
with the eggs, water and flour. To this is added pretty much anything you
want. Common things to add would be thinly sliced chopped pork, thinly
sliced chopped beef, chopped onions, octopus, squid, mushrooms. Note, like
pizza you'd usually pick one or two things to add. You mix it together to
make a batter and then you pour it on a grill and let it cook like a
pancake. When one side is done you flip it over and cook the other side.
When it's finished you turn off the heat or put it on a plate then you put
okonomiyaki sauce on top and usually katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) and
mayonnaise.
Okonomiyaki is a kind of fast food and there are lots of venders selling
okonomi-yaki in Japan.

What is a futon?

A folding mattress. In many traditional Japanese homes futons are used to
sleep on. In the day they are stored away in closets. As Japanese homes are
small, futons are used to conserve space.

Important Cast Members

Old Washer Woman
This elderly woman, can almost always be seen cleansing the outside of her house by pouring water on the sidewalk. More often than not, she accidently splashes cursed cast members

Ukyo lives in Tokyo alone and runs Ucchan's Okonomiyaki, a popular neighborhood restaurant. She is friends with Akane to a degree.

Kasumi is Akane's oldest sister.

Nabiki is the middle daughter of the Tendo family.

Dr. Tofu Ono is the local chiropractor and often helps Akane when she has bumps, bruises or dislocated joints from their many fights. Akane used to have a crush on him. Dr Tofu actualy loves Kasumi, which makes him act silly out of shyness when she is around. People needing medical help avoid him if he is with Kasumi.

Chapter Three: Did you say Ramen?

What is Ramen?

Ramen noodles are used extensively in Japan, although they are Chinese in origin. They can be purchased fresh, but are much more readily available dried. They are used in Japanese noodle soups. The fresh noodles need to be boiled until they are tender before being added to a soup. Most dried ramen noodles are instant and only need boiling water poured over them to be cooked.

Important Cast Members

Ranma is 16 years old, and lives with the Tendo family and his father at the Tendo Dojo. Genma and Soun Tendo arranged for their children to be wed, and so Ranma and Akane were engaged (Nabiki and Kasumi said that they didn't want to marry Ranma, so Akane was chosen by default). Ranma and Akane rarely get along, which seems to stem from the fact that Ranma is quite the ladies man. In fact, he is also engaged to Shampoo and Ukyo Kuonji. While not engaged, Kodachi Kuno also hopes to marry Ranma one day.
Ranma was knocked in to the "Spring of Drowned Girl," and now transforms into a female version of himself when splashed with cold water.

Chapter One: Where is the Tendou Dojo?

"So...this is Tokyo" spoke Sayo allowed as she stepped of the train
"I'm finaly here...took me long enough to get over from China"
She looked around the station and sighed
*Even so...the Jusenkyo Guide didnt give me directions, just an address....o well, maybe I can ask someone where this Tendou Dojo is*
She began walking around the station but everyone she spoke to had no idea where the dojo was.
*This is just great...I get all the way to japan, and when I finaly get here, I cant find the dam dojo*
She sat down for a moment to ponder her siuation, Sayo never really was much for traveling and she was really tired.
After about 20 minuites of thinking she came to the same conclusion she had made just after getting of the train.
*I have to find someone that knows where this dojo is...its my only hope*
She sighed and begugingly picked up her bags.
*Why did I have to bring so much stuff???*

Another hour or so had passed and she had found her way out of the train station. She had decided to look by herself...which was looking to be just as sucksesful as asking at the station.

After a little longer her stomach began to mone at her
*Ahh...I need a chocolate fix..*
She looked around for a moment and suddenly spided an offlicance
*May as well get something...all the good wondering around is doing...*
She entered the shop and was met with a older lady mind fall, holding a bucket of water, the contents of which headed her way
With a rather loud scream, Sayo tryed to jump out of the way, but the water, which she realed was stone cold, hit her full pelt
She landed orquadly on the floor, her bags landing on top of her
*O great...the perfect end to a perfect*
The old lady that had triped stood up and servayed the mass that was now Akane on the floor.
"O you poor dear! I am so sorry! Please, here, let me help you up"
The old lady walked over to Sayo and helped her to return to her feet.
Sayo suddenly spided her arm and felt the end of short strands of hair on her face.
*I transformed again?? Hum, I dont think the old lady saw me before she tripped, she isn't freaking out...I guess I got away with it*
Sayo scratched her head "Thats no problem. Its seems water is drown to me these days"
* A quark of this curse HE managed to forget to mention, stupied old man*
Her eyes closed at the thought of the guide, and she felt her fists clench.
"My dear...please, as an applogy you can have anything you like from my store for free"
Sayos anger quickly faded as she remebered she really wanted some chocolate
"I could really go for some chocolate" she spoke, with a cheery grin returning to her face
The old lady patted the girl on the shoulder
"Your wish is my commanded dear, please, take what you want. I am again very sorry about the water"
The old lady smiled as Sayo walked over to a conture to look at what treats where on offer.
*This is very generus of her...I better not get greedy*
She took two bars of choclate from the counter.
"If its ok, I'll just take these"
"Are you sure dear...you can take more if you like"
"Its ok, this is more than enought, thank you"
Sayo's grin grew even bigger, chocolate was definaly HER weakness
"Ok then dear, at least let me get you a towal, I dont want you to catch a cold"

A few moments passed when Sayo finaly energed from th store, bone dry.
She let the door close, turned, and promptly ran into someone who had been walking past the shop.
She somehow managed to hold onto the canvas bag holding all her wolrdly possentions.
She bowed, mortified. "I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!"
"No harm done, Miss. Maybe you can help me; is this Tokyo? I'm looking for the Tendou Dojo."
Sayo kepted her head lowered as her eyes snaped opened in suprise
*The Tendou Dojo....?*
Ryouga Hibiki regarded the young lady who had run into him
*Hum...she looks kind of familaer, I cant tell with her head bowned like that though*
She was taking an awfully long time to rise from her bow. "Miss? Are you all right?"
The girl took a deep breath, and suddenly began to laugh softy, and finally straightened up.
"You know, I'm looking for that Dojo to, maybe we can look togther"
Ryouga blinked; she was smiling at the irony of the situation she was in, but Ryouga misread it as something else.
He appeared so overwhelmed that it took a few seconds for him to reply.
Sayo looked at him blanky
"Are you ok?"
"A-Akane?!"
His face softanded and a huge grin formed on his face
Sayo still looked at him blanky until she rembered she was still in her cursed form...the form of this stanger 'Akane'
*O no... I didnt even consider I'd run into someone that knew her...*
Ryouga's eyes where shaking and were moast
"O Akane! I've missed you!"
He threw his arms around 'Akane'
"Its been almost a month this time! I never thought I'd make it back to Tokyo this time!"
Sayo was a little uneasy at this embrace
*O great...I'm being glomped by a total stranger who thinks I'm someone else*
"O Akane! I Ryouga Hibiki have missed you!"
*Ryouga Hibiki? O well, at least I know his name now...*
She tryed to push Ryouga softly from this embrace
"Um...Ryouga right? Um, would you get of me"
Ryouga suddenly froze, his whole body tenced up, making Sayo jump
"A-A-A-Akane....I...I um....o"
He let go of 'Akane' and looked down at his fingers has as he twiddled them
"I-I-I'm so-orry Akane"
Sayo now felt a little bad for this Ryouga, after all, it was her folt this situation even existed, and she didnt know what kind of realtionship Ryouga and Akane shared

She took a deep breath, she would probly regreate later what she was about to do, but guilt wounlnt let her do anything else
"I'm sorry...Ryouga, but you just startled me...I didnt mean to push you away"
She gluped and was shaking slightly as she forced a smile to her face, she was trying to look cute, at this 'Ryouga's' reaction to being pushed away she figured he and Akane might be dating or something. She didnt inted to mess up Akane's love life when she was the only hope she had of being normal again.

Ryouga looked at her for a moment then whispered
"Akane...."
Sayo opened her eyes to see Ryouga looking down at the ground, she suddenly took a little step forward
*is he...crying?*
Ryouga clenched his fist and was shaking still, his face covered by his hair
"O Akane..Youve made me so happy!"
He rose from his glum posture, tears in his eyes and he dived at 'Akane' again.
He tryed to catch her in another embrace, this time passinalty, but Sayo's insints took over and she ducked.
Ryouga, with no Akane to stop him, went flying over her head into the shop.
Sayo tured around, her face in full blush
*Ok...I didnt mean to do THAT!*
The door closed after Ryouga had gone threw, but Sayo suddenly heared a splash of water and the old lady scream
"O no! Not again!"
Sayo burst into the shop, expecting to see Ryouga lying soaking on top of the old lady, but insted found a dreached piglet crawling out of his cloths, and the old lady out cold on the floor holding an empty bucket.

"What happend??" yelled Sayo
Ryouga suddenly froze, and tured his little head to face 'Akane'
*O no...she-she'll find out I'm P-Chan*
The little pig began to run away as fast as its leg could carry it.
Sayo, somewhat institly and on intuition, ran towards the pig and scopped it up, quickly stuffing it in her bag she was still holding.
*so...he's a Jusenkyo victom to...dont worry, I wont let the old lady see you like this...*
She suppoed up Ryouga's cloths and stuffed them in his back, then pushed it out of the door
Quickly pusing her own bag with the pig in it outside, she ran over to the old lady, helping her up
"Are you ok?" she asked
The old lady began to come around and looked up at the caring face of someone she reognised
"O my dear...look at you, your wet again...dont tell me I soaked you again.."
Sayo smiled at this remark
*What a sweat old lady*
"No, dont worry. You did trip again, but I was outside. I heared you scream and came to see if you where ok"
She was not lying persay, but it still felt bad to decive this nice old lady, but she wanted to protect a fellow Jusenkyo victom.
She helped the old lady to her feet
"O thank you dear, I'm sorry to cause you so much trouble"
*you dont know the half of it*
"Its ok. Will you be ok?"
The old lady noded
"Ok, well...I better get going...thanks for everything" *and I'm sorry* she added mentaly.
"No problem dear, you make sure you come back soon"
Sayo left the shop again and fell to the floor, sighing with relfe
"Few...didnt think I'd get away with this a second time...that old lady isnt very observant"
She looked over at her canvas bag which held the black piglet she had just picked up
"O boy..."
She walked over and knelt down, unzipping the bag.
The little black pigelt had its eyes closed and was cluded up into tight ball, she could her it... crying?
She gently placed her hands around the little shaking mass and brought it out if the bag
P-chan looked up at 'Akane' with shaky eyes
*Please A-Akane...forgive me*
Akane looked indiferently at the little pig, which made Ryouga stare at her
*Theres only two ways I expected her to react...pound me if she knew...or hug me if she didnt*
"Bweee" escaped his snot
"So, your a Jusenkyo victom to" she said, then a smile formed on her face.
P-chan looked genraly suprised
*she...doent mind?*
'Akane' closed her eyes and placed the pig on the floor.
"I guess this makes things a little easer to expain to you"
The girl stood up and lifted her canvas bag, pulling out a flask
"I came prepered."
She shuck the flask "Hot water"
The pig tilted its head sideways
*Did she...already know??*
The pig began to blush
'Akane' walked over to him and picked him up again
"I guess you'd rather change back somewhere more...privet"
She placed P-Chan on her shoulder and walked over to Ryouga's pack, lifting it up and placing it over her other shoulder
*Hum, this form has its advantages I guess...this Akane is freakisly strong*

After a while P-Chan found himself on the floor of a girls tolites, he was blusing no end
'Akane' walked over to him and opened the beaker.
*O no! She's...going to see me...NAKED*
P-chan closed his eyes and flinched, waiting for the hot water, he heared the splash he was expecting but felt noting.
He slowly opened one eyes and looked twowards 'Akane'.
Both eyes shot open at the sight he saw, there, where Akane had been but a monet ago, stood a soaking wet girl with long brown hair.
He looked at her confused for a moment, wondering what had happned to Akane when he realsed this girl was weaing the exact same cloths she was.

He stood up with a start and began to squaler something ilegable at her
She swiflty purded the remaing hot water over the pigs head, turning red as the now naked Ryouga sat before her.

They both stared at each other for a few minutes when Sayo remembered her place, quickly turning around.
"I'm...i'm sorry" she spoke
The push Ryuga's bag towards him with her foot
"Your cloths are in there..."
Ryouga quickly placed the bag over himself, protecting his mondisty, his face was crimson
"W-Who are you???" he yelled as he quickly began to re-dress himself
The girl sighed
"Are you dressed?"
"Yes..."
She tured around to see Ryouga looking at her, his face a mixture of embracemnt and anger on his deep red face
She blsuhed at the sight
"To answer your earlyer question, my name is Sayo Aketchi...I've come all the way from China to.."
Ryouga grabbed ahold of her and pulled her towards him
"What are you?? Are you a demon, or perhaps a mirror clone! Speak now! Why where you disgused as Akane"
Sayo frowned as she was being shaken
"Um, would you stop that!"
She then kicked him, making him relase his grip, and noking him to the floor
"Listen you lame brain! I was trying to tell you! I have come all the way from china to..."
"Aha!" he interuopted again, pointing at her
"So, your working for Shampoo!"
Sayo looked at him balnky
"For...Shampoo?"
"Mousse then!"
"Mousse?"
"....colano?"
"Are you making fun of me! I fell in Akaneniichuan at Jusenkyo you idiot!"
Ryouga was silent for a moment
"You fell in....Akaneniichuan?"
"Yes" she sighed,
*Finaly this idiot gets it*
"Then...your here to...why are you hear?"
"The Jusenkyo guide told me that Akane still lived in Japan, I figured she of all people was my best hope to reverse the curse. Nyannichuan didnt work"
Ryouga began to blink in rappided suckession while he was still sat on the floor.
*So...Akaneniichuan is still cursed...and this poor girl just fell in...and came all the way here to find a cure...and I accused her of being a demon...and I..*
He stopped mid thought, a blush forming on his face
*I tryed to kiss her....*
He began to twiddle his thumbs as he contuied to think to himself
*So it wasnt Akane I did all that to...she didnt regect me...or see me turn into P-Chan.,.which means she still doesnt know..*
He looked up at her, relef in his face.
He stood up and bowed to the girl, making her blush
"My name is Ryouga Hibiki. It would be an honour to escort you to the Tendou Dojo, as way of aplogiy for my behavoir towards you earlyer"
Sayo began to smile and was just about to reply when she remebered something
"Wait a minute...didnt you ask ME where the Tendou Dojo was when I bumped into you?"
Ryouga began to blush and scracth his head.
"Ahehe...yea, see, thats the thing...some peole call me the 'Eternal lost boy'...I have the worst sence of direction..."
Sayo stared at him for a moment
"Well, my first offer still stands. I'm looking for that Dojo to, maybe we can look togther"
Ryouga smiled "I'd like that"
"But lets not try to get wet"
Sayo laughed nervusly
"Seems Jusenkyo victom are water magnets"
Ryouga and Sayo stood laughing for a moment until it died down
"Um, Ryouga..."
"Yes?"
"Would you tell me what this Akane is like? I have alot of questions..."

Chapter Two : The love of Okonomiyaki 

"Man...that Old Washer Woman has an uncanny aim" spoke Sayo, who was now Akane again, holding P-Chan in her arms.
"So much for not getting wet..."
P-chan grunted, signaling his agreement
*That elderly woman. Why is she always pouring water on the sidewalk. Thats the fith time shes got me*
He looked up at the Akane Sayo who he had met up with three days ago, he felt so guilty about dragging her all over tokyo...but at least she had managed to keep them IN Japan
*o well, at least it means were near the Dojo... if only I could tell Aka...Sayo that*
Sayo looked a little dishearted, she was lost, soaking wet, and now ran the risk of someone thinking she was Akane again. She was starting to reget coming to Japan...at least back home she could explain the curse without worring about mistaken idetity.
Her thought pattern was interupted by the smell of something tastly in the air
*Ah...I'm so hungry*
She looked down at P-chan who was also sniffing the air
*Thats okonomiyaki* he thought to himself *we must be near Ukyo's resturnat*
Sayo stopped walking and sniffed the air
"Hay Ryouga, fancy some Japanises Pizza, I havnt had it for ages"
A gleeful grin adonded her face
*O no! If Ukyo see Sayo as Akane! Ahhh!*
He began to grunt and squale in an attemp to tell Sayo not to go, but it only came accross as exsited "bwees"
"Ok then Ryouga! Dont worry, its my treat"
Much to dismay of Ryouga, Sayo set of towards the source of the smell, and as he had expected, they stood before the okonomiyaki resturnat.
"Ucchan's Okonomiyaki" Sayo read out loud. She coulnt read chainses, but she had no problem with Japanise
She began to grin even harder
"OOO! I cant wait! I love okonomiyaki!"
Ryouga was fiditing even more in her grasp
"Carm down Ryouga! I'm sure they will let a cute little piggy like you in"
She walked into the resturnat
Ukyo was in her usual postion behind a hot plate, poking at a cooking Okonomiyaki with a spatuala.
Sayo looked around and finaly figured out she was supposed to sit by the chief. She had had Okonomiyaki before, but she handn't been to a resturant that did only that.
Ukyo looked up and smiled at the new arrival warmly
"Welcome, what will it be?"
Sayo sat down, and return the smile. Ryouga was silent in her lap, sweat drops rolling down his little face.
"What would you recomend?"
Ukyo looked a little suprised, Akane always had the speacial, why was today any different?
"Umm, why dont you try this one i'm making now? Beef and Onion"
Ukyo flipped the Okonomiyaki one last time with the spatula and placed it on a plate, passing it to 'Akane'
"Thank you"
Sayo sniffed the air
"It smells great!"
Sayo placed P-chan on the table next to her and began to dig in to the Okonomiyaki. She cut a small peace of and passed it to P-chan, he was so nervus that Ukyo might discover this wasnt Akane that he pretnded everything was ok and began to eat it.
Sayo finished chewing the part of Okonomiyaki she had in her mouth and swallowed it
"umm...Okonomiyaki. I've not had it for so long..."
Ukyo rased an eyebrow
"What did you say?"
Sayo, not even thinking, contuied
"Okonomiyaki is such a rare treat...I hardly ever have it, its hard to get a good Okonomiyaki like this"
Ukyo lended over her hot plate and glared at Sayo, making her a little uneasy
"W-what..."
"Did you hit your head or something, your being a little...weird"
Sayo, still clueless, contuied
"No...why?"
P-chan was almost having a heart attack
*O come on! Cant you even tell Ukyo thinks she KNOWS you*
"Bwee! Bwee!" interupted P-chan.
Sayo looked at him and was about to ask him what the matter was when Ukyo lent even feather forward, blocking her view of him with her head
"Akane, are your SURE your ok?"
Sayo was about to reply when her brain registered the 'Akane'.
*O no... so THATS what Ryouga was trying to tell me...*
She looked at Ukyo, she would need a quick recovery from this one.
"I'm fine...Ucchan *?*"
*Please let that be her name...I hope this is her resturant*
Ukyo titlted her head a little
"Ucchan? I thought only Ranchan called me that, but whatever"
She pulled away, Sayo mentaly sighing
"I'm sorry I made you worry about me...Ucchan, but I'm...not really feeling myself today"
*Thats for sure*
Ukyo tured around and looked at this Akane that sat before her, she looked nervus and had a stupied forced grin on her face
"Maybe I should take you home Akane, you dont look at all well"
Sayo mentaly fronwed *I look ill? How nice of you*
Suddenly a better idea came into her mind
*Wait...if Ucchan takes me home...the Tendou Dojo....to Akanes home....I can finaly talk to her!*
It looked to her P-chan had had the same idea as he was jumping about trying to tell her
"Please Ucchan...your right...I dont feel well...please take me home, if its not to much trouble"
Ukyo's expresion turned into one of concern
*since when did Akane Tendo ask for help?*
"Ok Akane, I'll take you home... maybe Kasumi should call Docture Tofu as well..."
*DO I look that i'll that I need a Dcotor...arnt you nice*
"T-Thank you Ucchan"
Ukyo began to sracth her head
*I wonder why she keeps calling me Ucchan...and why the funny turn, she seemed fine a while ago, just attacing weird*
Ukyou came around the counter and almost fell over from shock when she saw Sayo's and Ryouga's luggae on the floor
Sayo looked at the girl puzzled, then realsied the luggage
"Ahehehe...thats...um...dry cleaing..yea...dray cleaning"
Ukyo had a disbeleving look in her face
"O really?" she cast her eye over the umbrella and sleeping bag on a large square pack.
*Isnt that Ryouga's?*
Ukyo picked up the pack
*I better not ask*
She placed it over her shoulder
"I'll carry this one for you, you just worry about... the dry cleaing"
Sayo was sweating *I think she might be on to me....ok, carm down...just pick up the lugagge and get going..you can worry about all this later*
She picked up the canvas bag and P-Chan and follwed ukyo, she could feel P-Chan shaking
*I hope Akane isnt home when I get there...please lord...give me time to change back before we meet...*
About half an hour passed and ukyo finaly had 'Akane' home
"Well, here we are"
*Finaly! The Tendou Dojo*
She follwed Ukyo into the gardon of the property.
Sayo servayed all her surroundins, and noticed a huge pond in the gardon.
*Yay...what fun* she sighed to herself
*I better make a note not to fall in that thing*
At the Tendo house, there was a knock on the door. Kasumi answered it.
"Oh, my!" she exclaimed, as the door slid open. "Is something wrong? You don't need to knock to enter your own house!"
'Akane' stood at the front door, her eyes gluded to the floor with Ukyo stood behind her
"O, hello Ukyo"
*Ukyo? Dont tell me Uccan is a nick name...no wonder she looked at me funny before*
The lady that had greated Ukyo looked over at Sayo
"Welcome home Akane"
Sayo didnt repy, her head was sinking lower into her chest
*Please let the ground swallow me right now*
"Akane dear?"
It was only P-chans squaling that brought Sayo back in the room
"Hum?"
Kasumi looked at her, her head slightly tilted
"Are you feeling ok Akane...you dont look very well"
*Again with the 'you dont look well'...you woulndt look so hot if you where pretending to be someone else*
She placed a hand on 'Akanes' head
Sayo noded "I'm not feeling to well today...um.."
"O my, your buring up!"
*yea...with embrasiment*
She looked at the young woman whos hand was placed so softly on her head, genuin concern on her face
*I dont know her name...*
Kasumi smiled sweetly and stood up
Ukyo placed a hand on Sayo's shoulder and guided her inside
"Dont worry, I'm sure you will feel better later"
"Thank you...Ukyo"
Ukyo smiled sweetly in reply
*I wonder whats going on* she thought to herself
A little later, Sayo had been forced into a futon in the family room and had a cold cloth on her head. Kasumi sat over her.
"Umm...you know this isnt really nessiery" Sayo protested inosantly
"Dotn be silly Akane, if your not well you should rest"
Sayo was now beging to panic
*I'm in way over my head*
She looked around despartly for P-chan but when they had entered the house, Ukyo had taken him of her.
"You need to rest, you can pet your pig later"
So, with nothing else she could do, she lay in the futon with a sulk on her face
After about an hour had passed, there was another knock on the door.
Kasumi stood up
"O my, I wonder who could be calling at this late hours"
The moment she diapered out of the room, Sayo shot up into a sitting postion
*Man...this woman sure likes to make a fuss...I guess shes Akanes sister or something...maybe she's this 'Kasumi' Ukyo meantioned back at the resterant*
She pulled the cover of the futon of her and went to find P-Chan
*I gotta get out of here before Akane gets home*
She was just about to stand when Kasumi retured with a man wearing glasses
"Akane, Docture Tofu had come to see you, isnt that nice of him"
She looked over at the man that had been named as Docture Tofu, his face was crimson adn he was staring at Kasumi like a love sick puppy
Sayo blinked twice then retured her postera to the futon, pulling thr cover back over her self, but remaided sitting
"This really issnt nessiery...Kasumi*?*"
Kasumi smiled and looked over at Tofu
*is he...blushing???*
"Docture, would you like to stay for dinner?"
Tofu began to fiddle with something in his hadns, it looked like a file of some kind, slowly he began to rip it appart
"I--I hehe, i'd love to Kasumi... hehe"
"Umm, Docture...isnt that Akane's medical records your ripping up?" a new voice enetered
The girl walked in behind Tofu, she was taller than Sayo and had short hair
"O, welcome home Nabiki" chimed Kasumi
*Nabiki?*
Tofu looked down at his hands to see the remains of Akane's medical records
"hu?..eha!...O dear" spoke Tofu as he realsed he had inded ripped up the medical records
Nabiki walked over to kasumi and began to shove her into the other room
"Come on Kasumi, lets not have Docture Tofu kill our poor little sister"
"I better start making dinner, good bye Docture"
"Ahahahhehe go-goodbye Kasumi"
Almost the moment Nabiki and Kasumi had left the room Tofu tured to face Sayo, a soft smile on him face
"I'm sorry Akane...looks like your medical records got damanged..."
*this guy is a Docture???Ok...I'm dead*
"T-thats ok Docture Tofu"
*baka*
"So, what seems to be wrong with you this time Akane?"
*This time?* "Kasumi says I'm running a fever"
Tofu leaned over the futon and placed his hand on her forhead
"Hum...you do seem to be burning up a little."
He began to rummage around in his bag and produced some liquide medican
"Taket this, it will get rid of your fever, and I suggest you rest, this medican will make you drowzy?"
Sayo noded
"Yes Docture"
He smiled at her as he opened the bottale and pured some of the medican onto a spoon he had also porduced from his bag.
He moved it towards Sayo and she obliged by openeing her mouth
*maybe I am running a fevor..I spent half the morning soaking wet after all....*

Back at Ucchan's Okonomiyaki, Ukyo had retured after taking 'Akane' home. She was closing up for the day, sweaping the floor outside
"Heya Uccan!" a voice came from behind her, she smiled
*Ranchan*
She tured to see a red head running towards her,
"What are you doing in female form?" she asked him, grinning
"Thats old washer lady got me again..."
Suddenly, Akane ran around the corner
"Hay wait for me Ranma!" she yelled, welding a pratice Kendo sword
"Wo! Hold on a-mintuie Akane! What'd I do now???"
"Ranma you jerk!"
She struck down and planted the pratice kendo sword ferm in her face
Ukyo blink twice then scatched her head
"I thought you where supposed to be ill Akane? What are you doing out of bed?"
Both the two girls looked at her blanky
"Since when did this matcho tomboy freak get ill?"
Akane took another swing at her with the kendo sword but she ducked
"I only just took you home Akane, you looked really ill. Kasumi called out Docture Tofu and everthing. He said you where running a high fever"
"Does she look ill to you Ucchan? I mean I know shes uncute, but she doesnt look ILL"
"Baka!" Akane yelled, swiping again, but again she missed
"Seriusly Ranchan, I JUST took Akane home"
Akane and Ranma stopped 'dueling', there attention fully on Ukyo
"Your serius ante ya?"

I wrote it a while ago, I just didnt post it becuase I was working on the plot, I didnt want to controdict myself
