ROM 3: Shadows of Souls

((Actually he just forgot about that barrier. But if you look back I think we said Bowen let him in.))

"Hey Silver, what took you so long?"

"I wasn't expecting there to be a monster guarding the water!"

"But why would... You know what, I don't care." *Josiah shrugged.* "You want to go look food?"

"No, I had enough trouble with the water."

"Whatever. Virgo, you want to come?"

"Sure."

*Jeff, Emiel, and David had already left so Josiah and Virgo went off alone. As they walked Josiah talked about the book he'd read about Bowen back in Amhal's castle.*

"Virgo, hey Virgo."

"Huh, what?" *She blinked and look over at Josiah.*

"You haven't been paying attention. What's wrong?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll listen more closely this time."

"That's not it. I can tell something is bothering you. Do you want to talk about it?"

"Yes, I mean no, I can't. It's not my problem to talk about."

"Ok." *Josiah nodded understandingly. "Just remember that if you ever need to talk about anything I'm here to listen."

"Thanks, I'm glad." *She smiled.*

"Hey look, berry bushes!" *Josiah grinned and ran over to a large clump of greenery.* "Let's pick a bunch to take back." *Ten minutes a lots of berries later the two headed back towards the camp.*

Shauni and Yomikko where sat away from the main camp, shauni was pickign at her ankel, trying to get some control over it again
"I dont thi k you should pick that..."
She sighed at stopped "I know..its just that if the joint sezes up...I wont be able to walk..."
"Good job you can fly I guess"
"Yea, but try explining THAT to everyone, why i'm flying all the time...decideds, it really tires me out..."
"You really are having a hard time arnt you..."
Shauni smiled softly "Worry about me later, i only told you and virgo so you could help me cover it up, I dont want the boys to know... they will only fuss..."
"I understand"
"I cant even tell jeff...he needs to consentrate..."
Yomikko stood up
"I'll go get you some water"
"thanks yomi"
Yomikko noded and walked of, shauni retured the ankel to a boot and crossed her arms over her knees, holding them close
"I hope the gaunlete really WILL work..."

Qutar entered very carefully, always watching his surroundings and listening for any noise. He didn't want to be ambuished while in here. He advanced slowly.

Opal was frightened, she didn't know what to do. As she rouded another corner, Bowen was there

"AH! How did you get ahead of me?"

"This is my lair"

"Right....so can I please get out?" Opal whimpered

"If you answer me this. How do you get the power to burn who ever you touch?"

Opal was silent "I don't know..."

"Really?"

"Yes! I'm telling the truth, I don't know!"

"Very well then..." Bowen did what ever he had to do to lt Opal out.

As she was outside, she blinked, not knowing what to do. She had no monsters, but now had a pair of gloves. She did not know where the group was, or were, so she has to do some walking to find them. Hopefully

((Hey guys, did we ever say exactly where Bowen's lair is located in Orca? Cause if not I have an idea that involves Opal and will help her meet up with us in a little while. Opal, PM me if you're interested.))

*After a hot meal and a good night's sleep, the group was refreshed and ready to continue their journey.*

"So Shaunisa," *Josiah walked over to Shaunisa, who was standing by herself while the rest of the group prepared to leave,* "how far is the entrance to Bowen's lair?"

"About two days if we fly, much longer if walk."

"So where is the entrance anyway?"

"Huh?" *Shaunisa seemed rather distracted.* "It's..." *She trailed off and stared into the trees.* "Something's coming..."

Shaunisa's eyes widened
"o no...its the welcoming party..."
"The WHAT?"
Shauni tured and grabed Josiahas hand, her skin exposded, Josiahs eyes grew and his face went white...he saw her skin...
"We have yo run NOW! Bowen hs sent a legian of death gliders to slow our progress!"
He came back from his gaze "what the??"
Suddnely where they stood exploded, and 4 dragons with 2 heads each flew into the air
"Thats a death glider! there really powerful! Run!"

"Run? Why should we run?" *Now that the initial shock of seeing Shaunisa's arm was gone, Josiah was focused on the Death Gliders.* "I want to capture one!"

"Capture?!? Are you crazy?!? Even one of them would be hard to defeat, you can't fight off four!!!"

"Go Mythril Dragon!" *Josiah jumped on top of the shining silver dragon.* "Go Rayzion! Let's do this!" *Josiah and his monsters shot up into the air.*

"Holy fudge crackers!!!" *Silver ran over to where Shaunisa was standing.* "Those are huge!"

"Battle time, eh? Fine with me. Go Ragnarok!"

"David wait! You can't..." *Shaunisa trailed off as she saw Silver flying up to battle the Death Gliders as well.* "Idiots..."

(Kinda a short post but I'm really busy today. I'll try to get on later if I can. And, for the record, I really do want to catch one of the Death Gliders.))

"David wait! You can't..." *Shaunisa trailed off as she saw Silver flying up to battle the Death Gliders as well.* "Idiots..."

She suddenly grew out her large wings
"I cant beleve they would risk fighting them so close to our target...idiots!"

She drew her large sword which was formaly a dagger, throwing out her own monsters, she yelled down to the remaining member of the group to scatter, confused they did as they where told, all except Emeil and Jeff. Virgo wanted to help Josiah, but Yomikko dragged her away, forgetting she was a monster as well
"Dont risk it Virog! Let them handle it! If they get into trouble we can help them with healing magic!"

Shauni flew up until she caught up with josiah
"Do you try and ignore me or something?"
"O come on now, I gotta get me one of these"
"Your a stuborn matcho man"
The two where speorated as on of the draogns flew past them
"I hate these things so much....there so stubborn!"
She flew up hight into the air, firing of some attacks "Holy Draw!"
The attack struck but looked like it did nothing "o crap..."

Opal wondered around, putting on her gloves o catch a new Monster. She only had one card so it had to count.

"Hopefully I don't run into something big..." She mumbled, looking around. She stopped to see some Zaponys, but passed. She rounded a tree trunk and froze. There facing her was a Roc. "MEEP!" She yelled, running away from the giant raven. Like in the movies, she tripped and fell over a root. She turned and faced the creature, eye in eye. "Dieing from a Roc......curse you Marco Polo!" She bit her lip, then reliesed hen she saw the Roc's face turned in horror. Opal got up to see that another creature was attacking it, like it was saving Opal. "What IS that?" She asked herself as the small blue cat was abearing claws at the feathers. The Roc got fed up from the attacks and flew off. The small blue cat purred with delight and rubbed Opal against her legs "I
ll take that as a sign..." She through the card and caught the mysterious cat. "Hmm...metalicat. 1/3, metal...duh...metal claw, iron fist, body blow, and Steel Tail..not bad" Opal pocketed the card, only to hear a noise nearby.

(Quick bio-Roc is a giant Raven. Last one recorded in Earth was by marco Polo in Africa. it was seen carrying an Elephant away for food o_o)9And Opal will capture it later on in the story :suspicious: )

Shauni fired another round of attacks but the monster flew threw them all
"A....my energy is still drained from before...." she thought to herself, thinking of her battle with Daku

She doged a few attacks and called upon her monsters to take a few swipes
"ah...ah...ahhhh" she yelled as she flew high into the air, as if calling her energy
"Pure Snake Bite!"
The attack struck a death glider but it only noked it of course, it began to plumit towards the ground, towards Virgo and Yomikko...

"NOOO!!!!" both Shauni and Josiah yelled, shauni and he then dived down to save them.,...

*Seeing the Death Glider plummeting towards her, Virgo reacted instantly, shoving Yomikko out of the way. Although the other girl was safe Virgo had no time left to dodge but, the instant before the Death Glider hit the ground, she vanished and appeared behind Josiah on Mythril Dragon.*

"About time you joined the fight." *He grinned.*

"You could have waited for me." *Virgo chidded.* "Give me Midnight Wing."

"Right." *Josiah summoned the large black bird and Virgo jumped on.*

"Virgo..." *Shaunisa groaned.* "You're getting just as bad as he is..." *But the other girl was already too far away to hear. Meanwhile the fallen Death Glider stood and launched itself back into the air.*

"Ok, Tme to try out mah new monster... go Nessy! Use Icicle Spear!" *Nessy sent a giant, pointed icicle flying at a Death Glider, but the dragon shielded it with his wing* "Curses... maybe try a... Freezing Torrent!" *Nessy hurled freezing water at the Death Glider, freezing him solid* "Nice..."

"Well, that works. Mythrill Dragon, use Dragon Breath!"

"And Nessy, Use Water Jet!"

*Both attacks struck the forzen Death Glider as it fell then smashed into the ground.*

"Yeah! It's mine!" *Josiah swooped down on Mythril Dragon and threw his last empty card. It struck the Death Glider and captured it.*

"Hey! How about some help over here?!?" *The other three Death Gliders had surrounded David and Shaunisa.*
