Hi!

I did not see that, but I love the hiking idea. I may be out of shape for that much hiking though... I actually got to see a lot of what you list on my tour, but I am planning on eventually dragging a few people out there. If that is a thing that happens, it'll probably be after I get out of grad school, though.

Oh yeah, and I'm officially going back to school to learn how to program Skynet. Well, at least that's what Elon Musk thinks all AI is, apparently. :eyeroll:

Hey!

Agh this resolution to post here more isn't working out too well for me. Life just has me all crazy and whatnot. Thankfully, spring break is next week!

As for updates on my life, I've now thankfully made the decision on what I'm doing this summer! So I'll be working half the summer and the other half, I'll be rehearsing, touring and performing with 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps! I could rant about drum corps for like ever (it's like one of my fav things) but the gist of it is that drum corps are marching bands with just brass and percussion. DCI (drum corps international) has two main circuits: open and world class. Both have the cap at 21 years of age, so this is the last year I could march. I initially auditioned for Boston Crusaders (a world class corps that has placed in finals for the past 15 years or so--also ugh that clip is from their show last year and man was that show amazing) and made it to the second round of auditions, which required flying down to Florida for an extremely intense weekend of camp, only to be cut at the end. I then decided to shoot an audition video to an open class corps (7th Regiment) since auditions were still open for them, and they offered me a spot so I went to their camp this past weekend to decide if I wanted to take it and, after being worked past my point of exhaustion such that I was so sore yesterday that it hurt to cough, decided I'd take the spot. I'm super excited, and I'll be on tour through a bunch of states before performing at finals at Lucas Oil Stadium and you guys should come see me if you're nearby! I promise you won't regret coming to a drum corps show.

ALSO since I'm procrastinating have more dci videos:

Bluecoats closer last year (holyyyyy crap this was so good. Placed second, but first in my heart) They throw a guy in the air and it's amazing
A portion of the Cavalier's XtraordinarY show They literally have people do a feature UPSIDE DOWN like oh my god so amazing. The closer for that show is also online and it's one of my fav closers ever because of amazing drill, music, and FLIPPING THE DRUM MAJOR UPSIDE DOWN HOLY FRICK

That's all for now. I could go on forever listing amazing shows. Ugh I love dci I'm so happy I'm going to be marching in a corps.
May the Triforce be with you.

Hi! None of the hikes I have on that itinerary are too strenuous. Most are moderately long, but not especially steep or difficult. Mt. Fuji is the hardest of the bunch by far, but it's still not super difficult (unless you get altitude sickness from the major elevation change). As a note, those are all itineraries I threw together last year. If I were to actual run one of the tours I'd make some updates here and there and, if it was a small group, consider changes depending on what the group members wanted to see. But, at those prices, I'd really need at least 10 people to break even (cover my own expenses). Like the itineraries though, the price estimates are from last year so I'd need to redo the numbers... That said, they might actually be a bit cheaper now thanks to the exchange rate. The dollar was around 100 Yen when I put that together and it's around 120 now.

Hi!

If you're bored with nothing to do at 7 PM Eastern Time, you should check out my livestream concert. I'll be looking like a dork in uniform while everyone else is out of uniform. It'll be a good time. This link should go live at 7 PM tonight! Check out a joint concert of the Big Red Marching and Pep Bands. Whoo!

Hi! I went to Gamestop today to see if I could snag one of those limited edition Majora's Mask 3DSs that are going around now that the shipping issues in CA are cleared up. I did end up getting one, but then came the debate of whether to keep it or ebay it. I mean, I've planned to get a New 3DS eventually and Nintendo is yet to show any signs of bringing the non XL model over here. Plus the Majora's Mask design is cool (not Pokémon or Final Fantasy, but still). But extra money never hurts. Anyway, it looks like quite a lot of people are ebaying them. There's hundreds up there, which means the average sale price has dropped to the point where I'd rather keep it for myself. I mean, if I could make $100 - $200 that'd be one thing, but at this point I'd probably only end up with $50 or $60 after ebay fees. So yeah, guess I'll see how I like the XL size...

I'd recommend picking up KH1.5 and 2.5 HD remixes Shauni
Got them, and the 3ds game, just not gotten around to playing them yet. Been waiting for Easter when I'm off a few days to get into the games I've got waiting to play.

Hi! Oddly, I've done very little gaming this week despite it being spring break. I'd love to just sit down with FF Type-0 for a while, but other stuff kept me busy the last few days and I've got an anime convention over the weekend. I have been slowly progressing through the Ace Attorney Trilogy on my 3DS though, so that's something.

Hi! My game backlog is huge. I'd probably need at least a year of serious gaming to get through it.

This weekend is Hawaii's big anime convention! I haven't been to a con since Otakon 2013, so I'm looking forward to it. There's even going to be an Eir Aoi concert tomorrow night.

Oh, my game backlog... the worst thing is that I've got more than one lengthy RPG on it. Like, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Vesperia, Xenoblade, and Last Story are all just sitting there. And here I am still playing Fantasy Life...

Which by the way shauni is indeed the one where you have a bunch of jobs to switch between. The story isn't anything super phenomenal but it's enjoyable enough since all the characters are good. It isn't the "you make choices that affect the end result" type, but there are tons and tons of optional side quests, and I played like 60 hours having barely advanced the main story at all because I was doing all the intro quests for every single job, plus becoming a super awesome great fisherman.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! You know Silver, all four of those games you listed are in my backlog as well, and they're hardly the only "lengthy RPGs" in it... Honestly, one year is probably overly optimistic for my backlog... -.-
Kawaii Kon (the local anime convention) is off to a good start. I had fun and got Eir Aoi and Toru Furuya's autographs.

Aloha! I don't really keep a gaming backlog, mostly because I don't buy that many games. I do have a large list of games I'd LIKE to play eventually, though.

Right from now on I'm only buying Pokemon games, Tomb Raider and anything that has monster training. If I stopped buying games now and played what I had for the rest of my life in all my spare time, I might finish what I have already.

Hi! I tend to buy games I want either at release (if they have a good pre-order bonus, special edition, or the like) or if I see them for good price whether I plan to play them right away or not. The logic being that I do want to play them and will do so eventually. But I only have so much time to play games with my work, side projects, and other things, hence the giant backlog.

I tend to find if I wait to long, the titles I usually like, like JRPGs either don't come down in price or they stop selling them before I have bought them.

Do you guys get that?
