Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I've had my little rant, done!
In other news, the new pokemon game is out a week after the US gets in here in the UK. Kinda not fair since X and Y came out at the same time * pouts *
So, I'm going to have to avoid the internet in order to not get spoilers, so please don't post anything here that might ruin the story line for us Brits (AKA me LOL)

Hi! I don't think you'll have too much to worry about, Shauni. I mean, it is a remake and all.
So, my parents get in today. It'll be nice to have them around though it's going to take some getting used to. In the past I've always lived either with them or very far away (in a different state or country). Having them in the same general area, but not in the same house, will be kinda weird.

Hi!
I'm probably not getting ORAS until Christmas, haha. Actually, I'm definitely not getting it until the holiday season. I'm not too worried about spoilers although I'm fairly certain enhancements like dialogue and other shenanigans I'd want to be surprised by…
Oh well, I'm probably going to e spoiled anyways. Avoid the Internet and specifically a Pokemon based forum for a month? Nah man. Can't do it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hey,
So, I just got off the phone with my dad after an hour and 45 minute long conversation. I never saw myself as the type of person who could hold conversations for that long, but there you go. Also, the entire time I was talking, I could have been doing laundry as well, but my mind travels on a single track so multitasking is more difficult than it should be.
Speaking of tracks, I'll be hopping on a train tomorrow to head back home for Thanksgiving. This is a big thing for me because I'm not used to having to do so much stuff all my myself. My dad's friend's wife was supposed to drive me to the train station tomorrow morning, but we're apparently going to get some heavy snow and she doesn't like driving in bad conditions. Therefore, I have to take a bus to the train station. I have never taken a bus before, and there will be no one to tell me when exactly I need to get off, so I'm going to have to act the big boy and figure it out on my own. This also means there will be no one to see me off as my train departs, so that fantasy is slightly ruined.
It will be nice to get home, though. I'll get to see my friends I haven't seen since high school/this summer again, have Thanksgiving dinner with the family, and, most importantly, see my cats again! Unfortunately, I'll be leaving my nice, fast computer here and having to deal with my old, slow one back home. You take some, you lose some. Also I'll be bringing some textbooks with me so I can study for finals while at home. Hoo-ray.
And now to maybe, possibly, finally get the laundry started. Stay radical, people.

Hi! I'll be doing Thanksgiving with my parents and some friends of our. That should be fun. Though things are starting to get pretty busy again, after just having calmed down not too long ago thanks to assorted work stuff, the holiday, and a test I'm taking in a couple of weeks. Still, only three more weeks left this semester and, so long as I can most/all of my spring prep stuff done before then, the holidays should be pretty relaxing. Plus Connie will be returning in mid-December and staying for quite a while as she works on her job search. So that should be great. Well, probably. We'll have to see how we do together over a longer period of time and with less of a vacation focus.

I love your Black Friday guys.
The local UK stores here don't really do it as we don't have Thanks giving, but the online american based companies have started offering discounts in the UK. I've gotten so many deals on Amazon this week. Its a pain sitting there though waiting for the items to go on sale.

'Ello.
Got Omega Ruby on Saturday and decided to do a Nuzlocke run. I've never been a huge fan of the third gen games, but I really like this remake.
I won't spoil anything, but I'd like to mention that while the story remains mostly the same, there are a few new additions that can be considered as spoilers.
Oh, and I'd recommend checking out the puddles on Route 120 at night whenever you guys have the opportunity to. Nothing special happens, but it looks gorgeous, in my opinion.
In other news, ORAS came out at the perfect time for me. I finally have some room to breathe a little in school. Maybe I'll have an opportunity to do a bit of writing and working on DnD before I have to worry about research papers again.
I'm also planning on baking some pumpkin cinnamon roll this Friday with two of my friends from high school, so that will be fun. One of them is a pretty proficient baker, while the other one and I... Well, let's just say that when we once teamed up to make cookies, the cookies supposedly were hard enough to break a window when thrown.
I am glad I was not around to witness that, because I would have helped to pay for the damage.

Howdy!
Gen 3 was my absolute favorite. It could be because technically speaking it was the first pokemon game I played and finished. So I just really want to get my hands on a copy haha. 20% to relive them tort line 80% GORGEOUS SCENERY.
Meanwhile I'm going to figure out what to do with myself tomorrow. Thanksgiving was… postponed? In my house at least. A part of me considered worming my way into someone else's feast but that's not… really fair haha. I, for sure, don't plan on being holed up in there all day.

Hi! I'm being doing Thanksgiving with my parents and some friends of theirs. Should be fun. I'll have to get up a little early to cook though since I'm making the mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
Gen 3 was never my favorite. When it came out I loved the new graphics and the running shoes, but it never quite beat out Gen 2 for me. Gen 4 was close to or tied with Gen 2. Now... It's tough. I mean, X/Y made so many improvements. But at the same time, the end game was rather lacking. Not quite sure how/when I'll fit Omega Ruby into my schedule with all the other great games that just came out, but I'll definitely get to before too long. I never finished Heart Gold or Black 2, but I make a R/S comic and all so I need to prioritize this one.

If I may ask...if you didn't really like gen 3, why did you make a comic about it?
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

OMG my local game is doing a midnight event for Black Friday, so I'm going to be heading over to pick up Pokemon while i'm at it. Wish me luck, I don't normally do sales! I don't want to get trampled.

Hi! I never said I disliked Gen 3. I do like it, it just was never my favorite one. The reason I based Pebble Version on Gen 3, as opposed to one of the others, is that the graphics in Gens 1 & 2 weren't really good enough for a sprite comic. Had FR/LG been out at the time I might have used them instead, but they didn't come along until later.
And now back to cooking. Happy Thanksgiving!

its what day? Man, that weekend was an oblivion of sales, Omega Ruby and Christmas nights out. I've just beaten Norman FINALLY. Took forever to get to the top of that volcano. Still no mega stone though. Think I'll spend some time in the dessert next, need to go some grinding on my team.

Hi! I really haven't had much time for gaming over the past few days. This evening, hopefully. Other than that, things are going pretty well though.
