Re: Mafia
While I do want to agree with Sims here and say that Saber is likely to be the mafia, him being so sure about this makes me wonder...is he trying to get us all to gang up on someone would could be perfectly innocent, namely Saber, and turn people away from assuming him to be the real killer?
I think I'll have to vote Sims this time. He just seems...too sure.

Whoops sorry I'm late to the party. Sims, that hurts my feelings :( I'm going to have to vote Sims for hurting my feelings.
May the Triforce be with you.

Josiah - Kaida
Sims - Saber
Kaida - Saber
Poison - Sims
Saber - Sims
So... we've currently got a tie. Two votes Saber, two votes Sims. Anybody want to step in and sway the balance? COLLY?
Or maybe one of you guys wants to change your vote?

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Mafia
I voted for Saber before, so I have no problem switching my vote to her.

Re: Mafia
That's right you're switching your vote to Saber, Josiah. It would've been pretty cruel to vote for Kaida, right after she saved your life!
I mean... Josiah told everyone about the experience he had with the alien, and how he was saved. There was much debating and finger-pointing; at this point, it seemed that everyone was just being inane and silly, as if they were desperate and had run out of hope to actually find the mafia, so they simply pointed fingers at random.
However, that couldn't be farther from the truth. There was a great deal of behind-the scenes information that was not coming to light.
The night before, Simsmagic, a trained spy, had been following Saber - he witnessed all manner of suspicious behavior, like cigar smoking and the depositing of horse heads into strange locations like beds. Most importantly, he saw that when Saber made an offer to someone, they were absolutely incapable of refusing it. There was only one explanation - she was the mafia. He confirmed this by researching the alien that was found; he knew it to be the Ursas Cornelliuniversitium, a type of alien that only Saber could have obtained. But he could not reveal that information to the population, for he would put himself at risk of a mafia strike.
But Saber already knew. She had realized that he was following her, and had every intention of turning the tides, claiming that Sims was being cruel, and getting the townsfolk to get rid of the threat themselves... and it almost worked, too.
But the pointing of fingers led Saber down a road of despair - that saved the remaining citizens of Pebble Version forever.
Until they all came back to life and did the same thing next week anyway.
So yeah, you caught the mafia! Yay!

Re: Mafia
Pre-emptively signing up for the next round, which I assume is going to start during the next KotF.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

We're usually a bit better with keeping this game going, even when other stuff is slow. I'm in.

I'll be in the next round as well, so long as my finals don't kill me first.

Re: Mafia
Eh... It's enough for one round. But I guess we should wait and pull in some others (Kaida? Saber? Neo? Doodle?) to get a better game.
