Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! At this point, you're probably better off just ignoring her, Saber. Just focus on other things and friends instead.
Not much to report with me. Just working on stuff, looking forward to summer vacation, and all that.

Hey.
I know I would be, but with just a few weeks left 'til she graduates, I couldn't help but make one last attempt.Josiah wrote:Hi! At this point, you're probably better off just ignoring her, Saber. Just focus on other things and friends instead.
May the Triforce be with you.

Moi,
Arg...it's humid here. This is one of the worst things about it getting warmer out. It gets humid, everything feels sticky, you can't cool down in the shade, and my hair does stupid things.
Other then that, not much has been going on. Regular school stuff, with a bit of reviewing for those upcoming finals. My school year is ending quite early this year, in the first week of June, so I've got about a month and a half of regular school left. There is one thing about the early finals I'm quite happy about. For once, finals won't intrude on my date o' birth! Woo!
So, that's all I got for now. Stay radical, people! Peace off!

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Last class was yesterday. The only final I actually gave as today (most of my classes just have projects and/or online tests). Monday I've got a presentation, final grades need to be finished on Wednesday, and then Friday is the graduation ceremony... Really looking forward to summer, even if it'll likely be another two or three weeks before all my plans are finalized.
Also, I agree with Poison, humidity sucks. Which is one of the reasons why I'd really like to move back out west.

Moi,
Well, Josiah, to be honest, you do get used to the humidity after a while. The beginning of spring though is a bit of a tough transition. Heck, some years, there's barely any transition. It just goes from dry as a bone and freezing to 50-60 F and raining every other day. I'll just be happy once summer is here and hope it's a drier one this year.
So, today I went with my and another class to see an amazing play. It's called The Whipping Man and this play...this was one of the most intense plays I've seen in a theater before (granted, I haven't seen all that many, but still).
I don't want to give too much of it away, so I'll give a very brief summery. It's about a Jewish Confederate captain, Caleb DeLeon, who comes back to his home as the Civil war is ending, during Passover. The town has been abandoned and damaged by the war, but he finds two of his slaves, Simon and John, still there. He has been wounded, a bullet wound to the leg and the onset of gangrene, and Simon and John have to take care of him, while dealing with some of their own issues, including their freedom from slavery.
If you ever get the chance to see The Whipping Man, definitely go and see it. It was very much worth it.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Woo, no school tomorrow. That means more time to...uhh...sleep, I guess. But, I do have to wake up early tomorrow. I have to get some blood drawn. Nothing big, just a few tests and such.
I am a bit nervous, though. I've never been on good terms with needles, especially ones that either put stuff into your body, or take stuff out of it. All I can hope is that I'll be tired enough due to it being quite early, so it won't bother me all that much. Plus, depending on how much blood they take, I could be kind of drowsy afterwards, as well. That means I'll be able to get back to sleep pretty easily once I get home.
So, wish me luck. I also won't be able to eat until after I get the blood drawn...sad, hungry Poison...though I believe I'll be getting some treats afterwards, so...worth it?
Anyway, stay radical, people! Peace off!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Grading starts today. And that's about it, I guess. I really wish they gave us more time though. I'll be fine, but I feel really bad for some professors. I mean, the last final exam time slot is 6:30 PM on Wednesday. Finals grades for all students must be submitted to the college by 10 AM Thursday morning. Seriously. Which is why I pretty much ignore my final exam slots entirely and had everything due last night. Helps that my classes are more about final projects than actual exams, and that any exams I do have are online.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Woke up really early today and couldn't get back to sleep. I've been up since 4:30 am and it is now just about 6:30 am.
So, I turned on the news and was reminded of something really kind of awesome that's happening quite close to me; literally just downtown. There's filming going on for a chase scene that'll be in the new Spiderman movie! It's so cool because my town is just a little city in upstate NY, probably not all that well known nationally, but our humble little city gets to be in a big chase scene in a big movie!
One downside is that there will be traffic galore downtown for the next week or so, so that will be...lovely.
Oh, and I survived getting my blood drawn yesterday. Woo. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Took maybe less then three minutes, and the doctor, my gosh, he meant business. He was very quick and got three vials of blood out in a snap. Yeah, he was pretty cool.
Anyway, that's all I got for now, gotta get ready for school and such. Stay radical, people! Peace off!

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! So today was graduation ceremonies, which basically meant putting on the robes, hat, etc., and sitting through the ceremony a couple times. It also meant a nice formal walk from the library to the auditorium for each ceremony...which wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't raining all day. You'd think the guys in charge might decide that, in a heavy rainstorm, we could forgo the procession and just start out in the auditorium...but no. These are the same guys who insisted the school stay open during a lengthy power outage and only shut down for one day during last year's hurricane and flooding (the day after the hurricane was over
). We were allowed to carry umbrellas, though the e-mail giving us permission to do so sounded grudging at best. And the combination of hard rain and fairly strong wind meant my robes got pretty damp anyway.
On another graduation note, some students sang One Day More and Can You Hear the People Sing as part of the ceremony. While they're great songs, and the singers did a decent job, I found the context a little worrying. I mean, those songs are about a bunch of students preparing for a bloody revolt. Is that really appropriate for a college ceremony?

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
I just got back from my SAT. My gosh, waking up early on a Saturday, spending four hours in a testing room, and getting a cramp in my hand every half hour...I'm completely worn out. Even so, I am really frikkin' glad that it's over. Overall, I think I did okay. Grammar stuff and most of the math sections were fine. The essay though...if I didn't as well as I could have on it, I'll blame the stupid topic we had to write about.
In any case, my next big test will be the ACT in the first week of June, and then whatever finals I have to do after that.
It think I'm going to take a nap now...or something that doesn't require me to use my brain.
Stay radical, people. Peace off!
