Skullgirls
Skullgirls
So, I know Colly and Silver play and, going off Facebook, Colly at least donated to the Indiegogo campaign. So, question for her and anyone else who did.
What characters did you vote for in the first round and did they make the cut?
I picked Annie, Marie, Minette, and Isaac, all of whom survived the first round.

Re: Skullgirls
She donated first, and I had initially planned on just calling that our contribution, but then we got close to Robo-Fortune and I wouldn't be able to live with myself if we didn't get her. I threw some money at them, too, which means eight votes between the two of us.
I went for Brain Drain, Annie, Stanley, and Aeon. All of them are still in, too. Colly told me who she voted for, but I can't remember anyone besides Annie, who I know is her top choice.
Honestly, I'm totally ok with any of the remaining characters making it in. I am hoping that one of the guys makes it in on this vote or the next, though... otherwise we'll have all these girls and Big Band. Doesn't that... sort of make him seem like a pimp? I'm rooting for Stanley on the grounds of awesome design and Brain Drain for story reasons, but Beowulf and Isaac are fine too.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Re: Skullgirls
I choose Annie for concept, Minette for cuteness, Marie for story, and Isaac for gameplay. I'll be disappointed if at least one of them doesn't make it. That said, I think the most likely to win are probably two of Marie, Aeon, and the other goddess.

Re: Skullgirls
Me too!
I picked Andy, Umbrella, Ottomo, and Beowulf...because I like their character designs basically. Although Ottomo's playstyle would probably make him my main...which is Peacock right now, incidentally. Oh, and I tend to like boxers in fighting games, is why I picked Andy.
I don't know the poll results though.
Also incidentally I think Squiggly's a dude...I think?

Re: Skullgirls
I picked Annie and the two goddesses of the Trinity, and Marie. First one just because I like her, the other three for story.
Round 2 has now begun. You can vote for three characters out of this list:
Aeon
Annie
B. Dahlia
Beowulf
Brain Drain
Eliza
Feng
Isaac
Marie
Minette
Molly
Panzerfaust
Scythana
Stanley
Umbrella
Venus
And now I need to narrow my previous vote...

Re: Skullgirls
I dropped Brain Drain so it was Annie, Stanley, and Aeon.
I'm kinda hoping Marie doesn't make it in, simply because she's less work for the devs. She's already got completed attack frame animations and all. So... I kinda see her like Robo Fortune, less than getting a full character. We may as well take this opportunity to add to the character roster as much as possible; based on how successful this fundraiser was, I see it as highly likely that they'll do another in the future, and Marie's an easy in for then. If not, well... at least she's already in the game, unlike a lot of these guys.

Re: Skullgirls
I suspect player Marie would fight a lot differently than boss Marie. I mean, as a boss Marie really isn't very mobile, she pretty much just stands around and summons skeletons. I think, as a player character, she need a mostly new move set.

Re: Skullgirls
Even if that were so, the art assets are still there, but I would say the playable version would probably just be a weakened version of regular Marie. Based on MvC2 Blackheart, apparently, which if you don't know makes her something I NEVER WANT TO DEAL WITH.
Also we should play sometime so you can beat me.
Also it should be noted that I'm a bit of a fighting game dilettante, so I have knowledge of this sort of thing, if no actual skill, so some of these inspirations worry me. Not that I'm trying to imply any of you don't have knowledge, I'm just saying...
I'll stop now.

Round 2 results are up! Shockingly (to me at least), Marie is out. Though all three of my other initial four survived.

Beowulf and Stanley.
I really like Beowulf.
My PSN name is SerpentineShel, by the way, if anybody wants to play.
