Silver, it should be mentioned that the key does not cause a text box to appear. Not that you know that's weird, just saying.
Stevenson's Vocabulary Word of the Week:
Foment: (verb) To excite or arouse, i.e. 2014's Week of Randomness hopes to foment some activity on the forums.
Stevenson's Latin Phrase of the Week:
Brutum Fulmen: (senseless thunderbolt) This phrase, coined by Pliny the elder, is used to refer to an empty threat.

"I've got a gunblade like Lightning's." Josiah held it up. "And my karate seems to have gotten an anime style power-up. But anyway, this is awesome, right? All of us together on an adventure with evil clones and everything. Anyway," he took on a more serious tone, "I probably know these forums better than anyone, with the possible exception of Silver. If we want start by clearing out the smaller easier areas, I'd recommend Rules, Time Warp, and Server Side sections. Maybe Foreign Languages too."
"There are a lot of too, so we may want to consider splitting up. I'm not saying we should go with RPG style three or four man parties, but it might get a bit crowded if we all go in some of the smaller areas."

Indigo's blue collumn lit up again.
"As I've said, the Server Side and Whatever forums are currently closed. I cannot access them. I suspect it is due to the corrupted Josiah's influence. Also, Silver's key does not match any lock in my records. You may as well destroy it."
Stevenson fluttered to perch on Silver's shoulder. "Begging your pardon, but I have matches in my wings, if you'd like to draw lots for groups. Oh, and besides a key and a light bulb, did anybody else pick up anything?"

Simeon let go of a thoroughly roughed up Kirby ("Sorry, mate. Don't know what got into me.") and proceeded to rummage through his gunnysack of holding. A moment later, he produced a raggedy length of knotted rope.
"Found this. It's some sort of leash according to the flavor text box that showed up. Any ideas?"

"No way I'm going to destroy it! It's mine, and none of you can have it! He'll hatch someday! He's just a late bloomer!" Silver shouted defensively, when Indigo proposed destroying his poor little treasure. He tucked the key into a pocket as a Stevenson landed on his shoulder.
And also, remembered the subjects at hand. "Oh, yeah. I have arbitrarily semi-colon inspired nunchuks, and I can be a Pidgeot when I put on a Stylin' Green Hat. Those are my skills and weapons and stuff." He briefly considered donning the hat, just to see what would happen to the parrot on his shoulder if he no longer had a shoulder, but decided against it. "Also, The Time Warp section sounds scary. I don't want to think about what could happen there. I'm all for splitting up and letting someone else take that section, though!"

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Mandi frowned a bit at Silver's statements. "I object to the notion that there's not much in the Art section," she protested. Then she paused. "Well, okay, I guess compared to some of the other sections, it's not that much..." She seemed a little put out by admitting one of her favorite subforums was relatively unimportant. "As fond as I am of the RP section, I do agree with everyone else that we should probably investigate one of the 'side' areas. That said, I volunteer to investigate the Time Warp section. Yeah, it could be trippy in there, but there's also been no activity there for...a long time, so maybe it won't be that bad."

Should I...oh whatever. /o/

Meh Siggy Site

Re: Forum Wars: The Pebble Version Forums Roleplay
Simeon listened in on the abilities the other members of the team, doing his best to keep track and quietly calculating with whom he might best match with should the team split into different parties. It's was apparently Stevenson was getting swamped with all the information to answer Simeon's reply to an earlier question, so he simply took the raggedy rope bit and coiled it like a whip into one of his beltloops. It may come in handy.
Finally, Simeon chimed in on what he was aware of his avatar:
"Well... I'm apparently a mutant lion-morph; That means greater strength, speed, agility, and senses -- oh, and some wicked built-in weaponry." Simeon smiled a toothy smile and momentarily unsheathed his claws. "I apparently have wings and and a couple tails, one tail of which I feel is not ancillary to my current state... the wings likely mean I have access to flight as well, and I bet the two tails are meant to help stabilize me in the air. I'll have to test that later." He shoots an embarrassed smile at a still reeling and roughed up Matrix Kirby with that statement. He composed himself and continued, "Let's see... I have some minor healing magic available; I know I should at least have access to that. I also have a gunnysack that apparently has a pocket dimension in there, an old cloak for looking mysterious or... pretending to be invisible with? I happen to have some basic weapons in that sack, but I don't know if I'll have to use them." He glanced at Stevenson. "I'm going to need to check your armory, Stevenson-san. I have a funny feeling the weapons in my gunnysack are incomplete. I'd like to see how I can upgrade them before I waltz into one of those potential warzones."

Re: Forum Wars: The Pebble Version Forums Roleplay
Stevenson ruffled.
"Well, I'm sure you would, but I need to keep some of this, you know! I don't know what's going to come in here while you guys are gone, and I have a feeling letting the bad guys get in here to set up their nastyness would be bad." he sighed. "Very well, but try not to leave me completely unguarded. And be careful poking around in there--if I am Stevenson from the CD-ROM game, I'm ticklish."
Stevenson spread his wings out and, strangely enough, there are miniature items in between the feathers of his wings. You can see four flintlock pistols, a box of large matches, an anvil, a length of rope, a compass, two sabers, and a spear.
"Like I said, there's plenty of room, so if there's any gear you don't want to carry in to those areas, you can leave it with me."
Indigo lit up.
"If master Simeon would like to upgrade his equipment, I believe there is equipment strewn about the subforums. The IPA section in particular should be a helpful area for upgrading your armaments."

Re: Forum Wars: The Pebble Version Forums Roleplay
Simeon nodded and took the spear, the anvil, and one of the sabers and set up a rudimentary smithy in a corner near the console.
"I wonder if any skills I learned while gametrotting managed to stick to me... It'd be a dream if I had the ability to craft items like I did in all those hours I spent wandering around in Minecraft. Ah well." Simeon's musing was interrupted by Indigo's reminder that additional equipment was likely going to be discovered as they progressed in their mission. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Indigo."
"Honored."
With little else to say, Simeon managed to craft a primitive-looking blacksmith's hammer from the saber's hilt and a part of the spear's shaft, then started to cold-reshape the saber blade into something a little thinner and more elegant. He attached the cold-forged reverse-edged blade to the steel-staff that was in his gunny sack to make a crude-looking naginata, then used the remaining materials to cold-forge a twin to the kama-sickle. The result, like the full-metal naginata, was very crude looking, but at least it was functional.
"If there's room in your inventory, Stevenson-san, you can keep the smithy-hammer and the anvil. I'm sure there will be other opportunities for the rest of us to upgrade our equipment and maybe even upgrade our forge kit. Who knows?" Simeon gave another non-committal shrug, "We might actually find us a proper forge or furnace here... somewhere."

Indigo once again spoke up.
"My records indicate that fire is a very important element of the game Survivor. It is only a theory, but perhaps a workable heat source could be found by exploring the Pebble Version Survivor thread?"

Re: Forum Wars: The Pebble Version Forums Roleplay
Simeon took pause. He remembered the island where the first Pebble Version Survival game was hosted.
"Now that's an idea... There's also a good chance the non-perishable supplies we crafted are still around, guys. If it's safe and relatively goon and ghost-free, we can possibly make that forum our base of operations." Simeon glanced at Indigo's light, "Of course, that's only an option if we can take Indigo and the console with us."

"If we're looking at forums, I'm actually interested in IPA, I wonder if Mnementh will be there." Kaida joined in the conversation Mnementh was her Starter from the reboot of IPA, if he was there she hoped he was doing okay. "As for abilities, I appear to be a furry of sorts like Simon, so ears, tail, and standard things that come along with being part cat I guess. I have an awesome bow, daggers and I think some pyrokenisis, haven't tested that out too much yet Or my daggers have pyrokenisis, that could be interesting." She said removing her bow from the quiver, it was decorated with celtic knots, vines and a fower that looked like a lily maybe. She unstrung the bow, as she didn't need it at the moment and decided to place in back into the quiver.

"I'll lead a group to the Time Warp section." Josiah volunteered. "It was mostly just a list of what needed to be updated after that whole mess, so I don't it's that bad. Careful with Survivor though. I seem to remember the first game having some sub-plot with a ghost or monster or something."

"I'll take one or two brave souls to the Survivor forum, preferably those with either sharp senses or are at least familiar with that old Survivor Island." Simeon spoke up. Without missing a beat, he added with a smirk, "That place is long overdue for a ghostbusting, anyway."

It is apparent, by the way, that the console is rooted to the floor, or perhaps a part of it. Indigo looks immobile as well.
"I'm not sure about setting up camp in Survivor, for a few reasons...for one, that seems like a good way to get bottlenecked in one area." Stevenson commented, then turned to Josiah.
"So that's Josiah and Mandi going to Time Warp, and Simeon going to Survivor. I suppose I should stay here and guard Indigo."
"Now that I am active, I can activate firewalls to defend this main hub area. Stevenson can certainly accompany you in exploring the subforums, if you wish."
