Arg, I missed the last three or so days of the week of randomness...I did have quite a bit of stuff to work on. Homework and such, the usual (along with a fair amount of procrastination).

I think near the end of the week, my brain dropped a massive creative block on me. I couldn't think of anything to draw or even write...well, at least I participated as much as I could, and that's what counts! I may not win anything, but I gave it my all and had fun!

...Why didn't I have this attitude on the "look on the bright side of life" day? Goodness.

Well, I'm going to try and slowly chip away at this creative block. Make the most of it, you know? During creative blocks, I usually get my strangest (and most "interesting") ideas.

Hi! This is going to be a busy week for me. Tomorrow I need to finish grading (fortunately, that's mostly done aside from any late submissions) and submit finals grades for all my students. Tuesday I'm having a Chanukah party (which requires a decent bit of cooking before hand), Wednesday I've got to go to the dentist, and Thursday afternoon or evening I'll be heading to Orlando since my flight to Hawaii (visiting my family there over winter break) leaves early Friday morning. I have to go into work Tue - Thur as well, despite not having anything in particular I'm supposed to do. I suppose I'll get some things ready for spring semester, though I'll have about a week to prepare for that after break anyway. At the same time, while I'm not allowed to give any details, I'm applying for a part time gig writing lore and backstories for an upcoming game. I'm at the stage where I need to write a short sample story so I spent part of today reviewing information about the game world and its history. While I've got a while to finish the story, I really want it out of the way before I go on vacation, so I'll likely try and get the entire thing written in the next day or two. I suppose I need to pack at some point as well...

Well, I re-homed my rabbit. It sounds like where he has gone is better than we could offer as well. Heated sheds over winter? The woman that took him was very nice, and she runs a rescue for rabbits as well. She told me Fudge is going to be her pet though. lets hope he is in his forever home

Oh wow, I missed week of randomness? Sadface...

In other news, it's finals week and I have mono, so basically my life sucks. I haven't slept through the night in a week because I've either been up coughing or in tears from pain from a headache and a super nasty sore throat and pain meds aren't helping and I'm freaking out because I can deal with pain from outside but pain that comes from within me freaks me out so bad. And then there's finals, which are an adventure themselves. Also, almost all food makes me feel sick and despite the fact that I feel starving, I can only eat about 4 bites of food before I feel ill. I have never wanted to just curl up and die as much as I do now. Nothing is making this better no matter what I try. It's just neverending freaking pain.

So that's my angry rant. Agh. I'm just so freaking done and I want to cry and be hugged but that won't help because nothing does.

Sorry to hear you aren't well. My Mum's cure all is Lucozade http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucozade and Cadbury Chocolate buttons http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadbury_Buttons . The Lucozade is fizzy so helps with trapped wind, belly ache and helps you feel full, and replaces needed vitamins and sugars in your system. The chocolate is light and makes you body release the happy hormone so you feel better.

Eat enough to fight the sickness but not so much you throw up is the best way, that and plenty of bed rest, hot baths and vapor rub to help you breath and relax you.

You can't do anything while you are ill so try to forget about things you need to do.

I've having a small Chanukah party tonight. Unfortunately, since Chanukah falls right over finals week for many people, a lot of my closer friends can't make it. But I suppose I could take a tip from one of the Week of Randomness days and say that gives me an excuse to get to know the people who do come better. And hey, I'll get to try and explain Chanukah in Japanese, that'll be good practice. I really need to look up a dozen words or so if I want to do that right though and I have to do a lot of other things to get ready for the party... Maybe there's a Japanese wiki article I can print...

So I continue to be angry and in pain. It's gotten so bad that I sit with a trash bin near me so that I can spit into it instead of swallowing it because swallowing is far too painful for me. And I got about two hours of sleep last night when I could have gotten around 10.

And I am also at my girlfriend's place by myself because that's how things work out for me nowadays.

At least I'm done with final exams. Just need to write an essay for tomorrow.

Oh, and I'm on steroids for my throat, but they're doing nothing so far.

I. Hate. Everything.

Eh, all that angst is getting kind of old. Though I wish I could actually sleep through the night. Wah.

ANYWHO I'm heading home tomorrow! Which probably means I should pack and get my dorm room in order! Just submitted my final paper, so I'm officially done, which should feel great, but again, there's the neverending pain thing also going on.

Also managed to scrape an A- in my multivariable calc class, which I should theoretically be beyond excited about, but, once again, all excitement is kind of dulled by the pain. Ugh. I hate what bad company I've become, but it really is just awful. I'm not usually one to complain about pain, so this is really something.

Wah waiting for other grades to come online. I hate waiting. I'd rather just know.

Gonna miss everyone at college, though :( A month away is a long time...
